I would just say the styling is way cleaner than the Blazer EV or even the Cadillac Lyriq, and probably better than the Acura ZDX as well. Strange that there is no cover underhood like in the Blazer.
Almost looks unfinished. It would be nice if they put a plastc tub there for more cargo storage. I also like the styling better than Blazer EV.
You turn the lights on via the large middle touchscreen. Theres an icon along the top of the screen.
Thank you! I figured it out later in this video. Makes no sense.
Almost bout this car. Dealership mark up and poor Honda up sales ethics, the out the door price was $72K. I just simply walked away. Hope Honda offers direct sales to US consumers in the near future.
72k!? Was it made of gold?
the interior quality and parts look like Honda Civic i can't believe ANYONE would pay anything over $35,000 for this low quality product. go drive a lexus.
Wow I didn't know this was already out!
Just came out last week
Good review. I like the car with some exceptions:
The fake electronic drone sound.
The lack of a Tesla compatible charge cable port.
The steel rear seat brackets sticking out.
Poor rear seat headroom.
The lack of a headlight knob.
The dark roof liner.
The seats should be more comfortable with longer bottom cushions.
Tiny turn signal lights in back, on the mirrors and on the vehicle front.
The black mirror and door handle should be body colored.
The door handle lock and unlock buttons should be a better design.
Overall this is the best large EV I’ve considered buying but still it’s not good enough.
@@robertyoung1777 what about the ev9?
I'm a Honda fan who has only ever owned Hondas and just got a new crv last year but for this price you can get a luxury car. Most people who prefer Hondas like it for the functionality and value. And if someone can afford that price point they can afford to put in a little more and get a luxury ev. It just doesn't look impressive at all and I don't think people who usually like Hondas would be that into this for the price.
It costs more than a Pilot.
Question is, are you allowed to get the $7500 tax credit for this being an EV. If the $7500 tax credit is available, can you use that towards the purchase of the vehicle instead like some dealerships are doing. If you can use that tax credit towards the purchase, then this Prologue comes out to be decently priced for what it is.
Thats a great question. On the door jamb sticker it stated that it was manufatured by GM Mexico so I don't think the $7500 would apply as final assembly point is outside US. BTW that is tax credit, not a discount. You can use it as such on leases because finance company owns the vehicle and they transfer this tax credit in form of cap cost reduction to the consumer. But i dont think same is available for cash deals or traditional financing.
@@MattTheCarguy Thanks for explaining! Now I understand why you have to lease to get the credit!
As a Honda owner i wanted this to be good. Ill keep waiting.
me too, they definitely have the technology although I was hoping they were going to build on their hydrogen technology rather than electric.
@@MattTheCarguy I too was hoping for hydrogen. Would be good for long trips I think.
On the new Chevy Colorado, the headlamps are automatic and the only control is in the touchscreen, so maybe they did the same thing here?
It is in the touchscreen. Dumb idea
There’s no way you are 6’ tall. I’m 5’10” and went to check out a prologue today, and i can’t sit straight as my head hits the roof. The rear seats are elevated like stadium seating. Saleman also sat in the rear said he was 6’2” and didn’t realize the headroom sucked in the rear
well, I am 5'11".... and a half.
I think Honda sold her reputation to GM.
Thank you Matt!!!
I hope this is the only one
Yes of course Matt and I would buy this EV.
Of course its a Honda? I think about 85% of made by GM. But is a nice EV.
It's as much a Honda as a 1996 passport was a Honda😂😂😂
That's what i was referring to. A Honda, Isuzu, GM with Honda badge.
@@MattTheCarguy when we looked at the prologue very closely as you notice under the hood it says GM ACDelco the only things we can actually find made by Honda where the two rear hatch struts in the rear for the power hatch that was it. There might be other parts but not many if at all.
Electric and GM, what can go wrong?!
This is the begging of the end for Honda... Oh well 🤷♂️
Haha
They ended their partnership so no it's not
Bro is hateing
Me? No, as a long time Honda fan and owner I just expect more from the brand than just slapping their logo on another vehicle. I think its an interesting EV, but its not a Honda.
No frunk. Yikes!
And there is space! They should utilize it better.
Electric 😢 ...nope
Im with you.
Wow.. Simple ,clean and tough looking small Honda SUV!
Edited : Oh sh!t.. this is an EV? Ok bye!
Hahaha
