Talking about money, especially how much you earn, is often considered taboo. But talking about money can sometimes be a good thing.
It’s not exactly known why talking about money is taboo, but one hypothesis is that it highlights inequality or causes resentment.
Depending on the culture, the comfort level of talking about money differs. Some companies are looking to open up the compensation conversation more.

This is clearly addressed only to western upper/middle class folk. People are not secretive about money AT ALL in other cultures or social groups. I grew up in a place where money is discussed in many different ways all the time, and the culture supports spending it/sharing it rather than hoarding it.

This video completely missed the main issue in my opinion. The reason I don't talk about money is to avoid other people telling me what I can and can't do with my life. As soon as I say I can't do something as I want to save my money, people will call me stingey or try to persuade me to live my life blah blah. Yet they're the ones with no long term financial plan. There's some kind of weird thing in our society where people feel the need to spend everything they earn and as soon and someone doesn't conform to that then they are a "weirdo".

It's so weird that you only talk about one side of the coin and present everyone as being ashamed of revealing their finances for fear of looking low of the ladder, when in fact I'm sure a lot of people precisely avoid bringing money into question for fear of attracting attention onto them because they *know* they're well-off, and so would prefer to avoid feeling like they should contribute more to society in one way or another given their means. This aspect should be discussed as well.

Great. Let's not do anything to suppress or even challenge inequalities, no on the contrary, let's just try to eliminate our anxiety about those same inequalities. This is a great example of how to focus on the effects and not the causes of a problem. From the moment there is inequality, there will be stress, anxiety, and perhaps that is for the best. Let's use this stress to change the system, not to reinforce it with this bullshit individual psychology.

Financial inequality is the bedrock of how the rich keep the poor enslaved. It would be catastrophic for them to allow equality and financial freedoms to be available to the majority of humanity.
The primary paradigm that the 1% needs to maintain is to prevent the 99% from obtaining freedom. 💪😎✌️ There can be no slave forces if the majority of humanity has financial freedom, baby. That's why it's nearly guaranteed that if you're reading this, yes, YOU are indeed, most likely, a slave. Acceptance is key.

This video gets a few things right but one aspect horrendously wrong in my opinion. Many people in modern society, due to their immediate situation, do not have the liberty to spend money on luxurious frivolities or even the ability to think about such a concept. A very sizable chunk of Americans live paycheck-to-paycheck without much means of escaping their financial root. Could some of said population build the potential to escape this figurative pothole by making better financially educated choices? Yes, quite possibly, but probably not for the majority.
I think money being a taboo is not societal at all, and completely individual. For some people, money is nothing more than the stress of work that must be done in order to provide oneself with sustenance and shelter. For some, money is a laughable afterthought. Either way, to one group it only brings stress, and to another, it may as well be meaningless. Realistically, the middle class is probably the only group that has any reason to converse about important financial decisions, and they're slowly disappearing. Gen Z seems to be set up to be one of the poorest generations of our time if the trend of Millennials continues to hold strong. This is one of the few eras where people are becoming LESS conservative as they age, and it's not without reason. The number of benefactors of the current system has condensed into a small few that profit greatly at the cost of the financial security of many. Many have begun to see the cracks in pure capitalism, and are scrutinized for pointing them out by those who have the power, by those who have the money.

Ecstasy is not just extreme pleasure. Ecstasy is the realization of immortality and the realization that everything is heaven. When you realize that it's so good. It's infinitely good. Reality is infinite void. God is nothingness.
According to science those are all just new age ideas happening the brain. My leader... The brain... The brain is just a concept. Science takes place within the illusion.
If you haven't grasped this truth directly, leave now. What buddhist bullshit! How can the physical world not exist?! What about the last 2000 years of western intellectual tradition? Descartes must rolling in his grave. Rationalism my ass! No wonder the mind-body problem refused to go away! But how can all this be an illusion when it feels so real? My leader, real vs unreal is a duality... I know! But it's warping my mind!!! My leader, you don't exist. Then how the fuck am I experiencing all of this? It's too twisted! Why do I craft all these machinations if the universe is running itself? Why fight anyone if this is just a dream? Why demonize anyone when everyone is identical to myself? This makes our entire way of being a delusion of epic proportions!!! I just wanted is to be real! Why struggle so hard when this 'world' is infinitely perfect! All our problems were conceptual. But without imaginary problems, what is left? The sweetness of struggle is gone. Such a mind fuck! My entire worldview was just a mental circle jerk! Why did I waste so much time defending my beliefs? I could have spent more time admiring those beautiful birds outside my compound. So many beautiful birds! Don't worry... No self, no problem. So this is the gateless gate. How can you argue with infinite nothingness? Checkmate. This, cannot be unseen. I want to spend more time hand-feeding those squirrels in my garden. And satsangs on thursdays. The circle is complete.

The reason money is "taboo" is because when we live in a hyper individualistic society that has as its foundation certain social Darwinian ways of thinking about people; money becomes a easy way to categorize people by who is most valuable in a society that considers everyone a commodity. Money is not a medium of exchange; it is a middleman that traps people in a societal passive aggressive way of non-violence to keep people in their "place".

I have have enough money to need an accountant then I will have no money worries.
I just want a small house and some land that is mine that can't be taken from me, a pick-up and a few more fishing rods and guns.
99.9% of my stress would vanish with more money
