That's a lot of money you're spending there, you're probably the type that has to spend exorbitantly to be able to maintain their mental health. I remember the last time I travelled in Thailand in 2018 I averaged about $9 a day in expenditure on accommodation, food and transportation, so under $300 a month, so I was able to enjoy the country with 1/5 of your level of consumption. It's quite interesting how different people require differing levels of consumption to be content.
for foreigners everything looks cheap but in Thai person pov it's not cheap and not everyone can afford that. Our monthly wage start from 15,000THB/month(about 430usd) lots of people get about 15000-20000thb per monthIt's impossible to afford what he spend 😅
That's a massive monthly expenditure in Thailand. I spent $270 per month when I was traveling around Thailand visiting temples, beaches, staying in guesthouses every night etc. About $1,700 of that $2,000 would be funding addictions, hedonistic pleasures, excesses and luxuries.
@awomanwhois3718 I would say that the price you need to pay for food in Thailand is surprisingly cheap compared to other countries but our monthly salaries is not enough for other expenses and if you have a child you don't have any money left to save or pay for the child education 😔
@awomanwhois3718 Yes I'm Thai and I don't know if I can say that my English is great or not but I can say that I'm pretty good at English compare to the others 😂
For all you get to do I cant believe how cheap it is, Where I live after taxes I earn slightly above 100k THB and I live comfortably but damn nothing like you, My jaw dropped doing the math on the difference between prices!
Ok. I understand, but for me, in a city like Bangkok, you might as well be anywhere else in the world. If you are in a smaller city or even countryside, you get a better taste of "Thai life"....not saying you can't find it in BKK, its just not really the same.@@jayghale8077
If you are going to high end restaurants it’s like anywhere else, maybe a touch cheaper. Street food is generally cheap and as a chef myself, a better experience.
