    Great video! I came to Melbourne in Dec 2022 on a working holiday visa - no job offer, accommodation or friends. Landed a job, then got sponsored with my job and now VIC is sponsoring my 190.
    Some also say you’re “lucky”. I am so grateful but also it takes guts, hustle and the right attitude to brand yourself and take risks!

    Its a shame the 457 visa no longer exists. Definitley much harder now with the one that replaced it, the 482. You are very lucky.

    • @livingsimplyaustralia
      @livingsimplyaustralia  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the job prospects for someone with 20 years of professional experience seem pretty good! At the end of the day, the chances of getting a job primarily come down to packaging and showing off your skills and qualifications the right way :)

      Thanks for replying. A related question is age factor as well, how is it viewed. Though I know there is no discrimination on age but wanted to know practical aspect.

      @@nsbansal9362 it’s harder to get a visa after 45 years old as many of them have age limits.

    Hey, iam a E-commerce manager doing mainly online advertisement campains for Shops and also Social Recruiting and maintain Webpages/ Onlineshops so i would call this just Online Marketing but im also responsible for purchase and sales so its easier to say i do everything from the first step of bringing a new product into the store writing the ad copys and creating high conversion ad campains. Do you know if there is a skill shortage for things like this in australia? Main problem is i only did so called Ausbildung in germany, its something like taffee if im correct, so i worked 3 years for 3 to 4 days per week in a company getting practical experience and 1 to 2 days per week to a special school learning the necessary theory. After my researches it seems like you always need a bachelor + up to 5 years of experience to even stand a chance to get a visa....

I have a general BSc and MSc in psychology and I work in a sch as a counsellor. Can you please help? I came across Randstad but that's just for teachers? Any other in that category because I want to come on a working holiday visa too? I feel very lost please help.

    Perdona mi confusión, pero estabas en el 2o año de la carrera y te trasladaste a una Universidad en Australia con una beca? (WOW!! dios mio)
    Tuviste que aportar notas solo de la universidad o del bachillerato también?

    • @livingsimplyaustralia
      @livingsimplyaustralia  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactamente! Aparte de la beca aplique a Credit for prior learning, lo cual significa que me reconocieron materias por mis estudios en psicologia de la Universidad de Buenos Aires (tuve que aportar mi transcript de la universidad de buenos aires y todo ese papelerio certificado - no tuve que enviar mis notas de la escuela por lo que recuerdo).

    living in Melbourne you're legally required to follow an AFL team, so I'm just wondering who your AFL team is - please don't say Collingwood

      ha! I really really tried footy, been to a couple of matches, but struggled to get into it! (perhaps being a big soccer fan is biasing my judgement!) Either way, at the time I had chosen Hawthorn, only because Hawthorn was the very first suburb I lived in Melb, but most of my aussie mates are into Collingwood or Essendon haha

    Hi tina, how do holiday working visa works? are we going to find an employer first before getting the visa?

    • @livingsimplyaustralia
      @livingsimplyaustralia  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      WH visa is given to people from eligible countries so you should check on the immi website whether your country is on the list. There are specific requirements you need to meet for this visa. But it's a visa that essentially allows you to work in Aus
      full time for one year (up to 6 months with same employer, you find the employer here after getting the visa), and then if you do specific work for a specific period you can extend it for a few more years, etc. These requirements change all the time, so I always advice to contact a migration agent regarding any visa enquiries. Cheers :)

    I have a degree in English and Anthropology, and a certificate in Local Government Studies but that only applies to Ireland I'd need the diploma for international government studies which Australia is a country looked at other then that my experience be in retail and hospitality because they tend to be unskilled work over here anyway would there be any point of applying now or wait til I get the diploma learn some of the local government over there, its teached by people from the UK, Australia, US and Germany as those are the countries compared to Ireland in the course, as the certificate which I have is ireland only.

    Muy buena experiencia. Es posible que una empresa te de una sponsor visa si no estudiaste una carrera universitaria en demanda? Actualmente estoy con una w&h visa en Sydney trabajando para una empresa grande de construcción civil y mi supervisor está muy contento conmigo y me pregunto si mi plan era quedarme definitivamente en Australia para ver si podía hacer que la empresa me esponsoree. Debería tener si o si una carrera universitaria para solicitarla? Espero haber sido Claro jajs

    • @livingsimplyaustralia
      @livingsimplyaustralia  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Primero que nada, felicitaciones!! Big achievement :) Con respecto a tu pregunta sobre la qualification, no necesariamente, depende de cual sponsor visa (si necesitas un skills assessment, lo mas probable es que si, pero sino no - en general no). En las proximas semanas publico un video entrevistando a un agente migratorio y eso tal vez te de mas claridad (es una charla larga y hablamos de sponsorship en un momento (no me acuerdo si hace referencia a qualifications), pero si no te clarifica podes contactar un agente migratorio o fijate en la pagina del Department of Home Affairs los diferentes tipos de employer sponsorship visas e.g. 482 stream).
