Just a word of *CAUTION* to anyone using the included Kernel Installer Tool. The tool will *DELETE* without any warning, any LBOOT.EPB on the root of the USB storage device. So if say for example; You use your personal USB drive to mod another Playstation Classic console, maybe a friends so they can use OTG, and you use the included tool to create a backup of that system it will *OVERWRITE* any existing backups with no warning or prompt as shown in the AutoBleem 1.0.0 logs (Exec:rm -rf /media/LBOOT.EPB). Just make sure to move or rename your backup before starting. I suggest using the serial number of the Playstation Classic as part of the name to avoid mixing them up.

If you don't mind me asking, are .chd files going to work properly in the "games" folder if they aren't a multi disk game? Also, when you say don't sort them in folders, it sounds like you are saying unlike normal games where each game has a folder with its bin/cue, ini, png files etc, these ones you just drop all the files, outside a folder? Or do you mean put all of the files in the 1 folder under the game name instead of separating them? Because all the games have the same "Game.ini" name for the file, so if dropped right into the "games" folder, you can only do 1 multi disk game

@Restalgia My console never booted me back to the apps page after backing it up. It black screened and the power indicator continues to flash. It's been about 15 minutes. Is that normal?
After 2 hours I unplugged the system and confirmed the drive had the Lboot, but I keep getting an error message that says, "Invalid backup or kernel image" when I try to flash the kernel, and it automatically powers off. I've followed every step exactly. Currently recopying the Autobleem 1.0.0 files over to the drive again in case they got corrupted somehow in the process. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

Do you have any video on Project Eris/Retroarch ? My console has that and games work fine, for the most part but i really wanna learn more about this mod. Buncha complex things that i dont understand :P
Not every hub works at all. And of course, I am talking about AC powered hubs. Not all work. I bought a really nice one. 7 port. Lots of power. Plugged into the wall. To the second port on PS classic. And nothing. Ended up doing the power mod. Now any USB or external HDD works lol. Your best option people is to do the power mod. Super easy. I'm a complete noob at touching stuff, and I did this with a conductive pen in 2 minutes. Be... very... careful though.
Hi, I have watched your video about 15 times now. This is the best video to Jailbreak the PlayStation Classic so far. I've bought a PS Classic yesterday and I'm having issues with USB Flash Drives since mine are not compatible. So, I ordered the AuviPal 3-Port Micro USB OTG Hub Adapter from Amazon and I have a question though. Is it possible to Jailbreak the console directly using that USB HUB that works in the back of the console?
Hey bud great video as always. Is updating a old version of autobleem as simple as dragging the new files into the old ones? I have an updated my version and quite a while So I wanted to make sure before I attempt Thanks so much!
try a smaller USB drive in the front if you got it. Bigger USB's require more power and those front USB's simply don't provide very much unless you do the soldering hack for more power. Also, the PSC was designed with USB2.0 in mind so those tend to work better. If another USB works, install the OTG hack, get a better USB wall plug with at least 2.0 amps and run it that way with the 128gb OR you can try a powered USB hub on the front to supply the power needed for the USB drive to function.
When importing ps1 game, can each game be in its own folder inside the games folder? I'm going to want to import a lot of ps1 games from my pc is the reason I'm asking. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
@@1972lesteryan Sounds good, thanks. For games with more than one disc, I'm guessing each disc had it's own folder rather than combining them into one folder?
One question ❓ i have autobleem installed on my ps classic with 64gb usb. I just bought 128gb now my question is can i just copy and paste from my old usb to new one. Or do i need to flash from beginning. Tnx🙏🙏
Couple questions. Where did you go to get the extra game/games you added yourself like Ace Combat? Did you download it somewhere else and put it on the memory or is it part of the mod file? And lastly, once the mod is loaded from the USB stick? Can I reboot the PS Classic with the new games without the USB so that I can play with 2 controllers?
He's legally not going to be able to tell you where to get the games, but it shouldn't be difficult with a Google search. If you follow the instructions he gives, it sets up the back USB port so that you can put in an OTG (which is like a Y splitter that will let you plug in both the power USB cord and the USB drive), doing that, both front USB ports will be open for controllers. If you need a suggestion on which OTG to buy, he put the link to the one he has in the description.
For updating 0.9 to 1.0, is it fine to just copy all the 1.0 files and replace all the existing 0.9 files on USB? And the Kernel was already installed by using 0.9. Is it no need to restore and re-install again? Thanks 🙏🏼
Hi there @Restalgia, I am so glad you mentioned the hiatus Project Eris is on. I have a full setup with almost 200GB of games on a USB Drive all under Project Eris. Can you make a guide or point me to a guide on how to uninstall that and install AutoBleem?
When you flash the ps1 and are able to use a bigger drive via otg do you just transfer everything from the smaller usb to the other one or how does that work?
Correct, you can use any size drive after. Some people are using 1tb hard drives. As long as its connected to OTG, you are okay from a power requirement perspective
I bought a usb stick off of Etsy with PlayStation one games since I couldn’t figure out how to do it and couple months later bought another one with different games than the first one. My question is this can you plug multiple usb sticks to the otg cable(if they have a 3 port slot available) and still play off of both usb drive?
One last question after the initial flash on front usb….if I use OTG back USB port can I use a usb powered HD or does it need to be a powered drive… also does that drive need to be fat32 as well or will exfat work
Once the custom kernel is in, you can absolutely use exFAT for a drive. I am personally using a 120gb SSD plugged into the otg adaptor with no need for additional external power.
Back again … If I use an external HD do I need to copy all the files from the usb drive I created to the external drive ? Just grabbed a new ps mini just needed a refresher
Hey Restalgia, love the videos! Any idea why some games launched from the Autobleem launcher(without RA) causing the D-Pad to be disabled on the stock PSC controller? I am able to launch the games with RA and they work...but annoying so far. Running 1.0/Kernel not flashed currently.
Restalgia I'm out of options and need to ask for your help. Sorry man I appreciate the work thats went into all these videos you've made and I've watched so many of them to try and answer this without having to ask you but here goes. Currently on my PSC I have autobleem installed, I don't want it anymore, I want to install project eris. Problem is I have the kernel exploit I installed way back in the bleemsync days. What do I need to do to get project eris up and running on my PSC? Do I need to remove the kernel exploit or can I just remove autobleem and install project eris? Thanks man
Did you install the autobleem kernel? I assume not if you never removed the bleemsync kernel still on it. Best practice would be to uninstall the bleemsync kernel which I made a video about, and reinstall PE from scratch. You can just use the bleemsync kernel for proj3ct eris though, and it's as simple as creating a new usb drivem. I personally have a build for both and bounce between them
No mention of the .m3u file that has to be created to run multi disk PS! roms. Also, no mention of the Bios files also needed to run PS1 roms? Or have they changed things in Autobleem 1.0?
Well i have problems i bought SanDisk Cruzer Glide 2.0 it had program inside install SanDisk software i just make folder and i moved on desktop then i format with rufus Fat32 i have 120gb then i plug USB on pc to put files autobleem then put ps1 classic made buck up then i plug to pc again i put 30 ps1 on folder games then I put on ps1 and doesn't recognise not even the autobleem run again on my playstation Classic anyone thoughts 😢 why didn't read usb when I plug and i put pc its recognised no problem at all only on ps now doesn't
Does this improve on the stock PlayStation 1 emulation you get on the classic outta the box?

Thanks for the video, I liked so much BleemSync/ Project Iris. Do you know why they're no updates suddenly for more than 2 years ( same for project lunar)? Thanks!!
If i dont install the kernel thing my ps classic will be able to boot to the official firmware if i remove the usb right? That means that whenever i wanna play modded games then i can insert the usb whenever i want right?
I really hope you see this. So I followed all the steps, and nothing happened. Autobleem isn't working at all. I even tried other versions, and still nothing. Anyway to fix this?
Your USB is likely drawing too much power. Get a powered USB hub from Amazon and do the process again. The powered USB hub will supply the USB with the required power, and it jist allow data transfer to the console which should work
@@Restalgia Well the thing is I use a normal sandisk usb stick. I have 2 of the exact same. I've used them to mod my system before. Same process and everything with no issues. I tried using a older version of autobleem that i knew worked before, but still nothing. I'm using the new sandisk usb stick I bough recently. Should I try using my older one that I used in the past that worked?
Is your Uninstall Autobleem video still up to date? I want to know I'm able to fully reset my Classic back to how it was out of the box before I start modding.
@@Restalgia Ok, thanks. As far as save files go, reverting to the vanilla kernel will make all of the preinstalled games' save data go back to when I made the backup right? Like if I start playing FF7 after downloading Autobleem, then I revert to the vanilla kernel, my progress for FF7 will be lost, correct?
@@Restalgia I'm having an issue with the custom kernel. After installing it, my PlayStation Classic does not properly shut down. The screen goes black when I press the power button or L2R2 in AutoBleem, but the light on the Classic stays green, never switching to orange. The only way to fully power down the system or restart it is by pulling the power cord. When I take out the USB to run using the "vanilla" boot, everything loads but powering down the system does not work again. The light will switch to orange for a split second but go back to green and restart immediately. Did I do something wrong, or is there a fix for this? In your video you mention that you don't recommend putting the USB in the front, is this why?
Recently i got a PS CLassic and put project Eris, should i change to autobleem or stay with PE? The only problem im having now is trying to install some cores
Why don't you recommend plugging the USB stick back into the front port after installing and using an otg adapter instead? btw can you also use another usb stick for games after installing the software?
The front port has a power limiter, which means if the usb draws too much power, it will fail. An OTG Adaptor plugged into the back of the console does not have the same power restraints.
@@Restalgia Ah okay thanks. Is it now that you don't have to set up anything extra if you install autobleem the normal way to use the rear usb port with an adapter? I found a video where I have to install something else first. Luckily I found a cheap usb split / otg adapter for 1.99€/$.
You were not clear what happens after you start to flash the kernel and how long that should take. I have a flashing green light on the front. I'll wait 10 mins and power cycle it because you mentioned it came up to a black screen and you had to do that. That part is critical to be done right so I don't brick this.
@@Restalgia Never checked Vandal Hearts or WWF: In Your House, but Parasite Eve 2 is totally playable! You just have to fix a setting. First, load the bin/cue onto your drive, let AutoBleem scan the game to create the "pcsx.cfg" file for the title, pop your drive back into your PC & open said file with Notepad++, then change the "psx_clock =" to "46" so it reads "psx_clock = 46" (without quotes) & SAVE. Boom. Done. Do this and the game no longer freezes when you try to leave the gun range at the start of the game! And it still plays normally! I've NOT tested (as I've not gotten that far yet) if the game will freeze near the final boss fights like even the retail disc will if the player had a Game Shark code active, but it shouldn't in theory. This isn't something I figured-out on my own, but I couldn't tell you the original source for this fix - too many years ago. I THINK it can also properly run, according to some notes I have, if you change the PSX clock speed under "Speed Hacks" in the "hidden menu" (Select + Triangle) to 70%. But, again, not tried.
I bought a USB already set up just plug it in and play kinda thing one problem I kept having was gamebox USB was breaking never did think an OTG adapter or the 2.0 4 port USB plastic hub that they all come with rather do the OTG people say the small plastic hubs don't work
everything worked except when I go into the autobleem screen and push select to go to the flash kernel app it doesn’t switch to apps it just stays the same. also when I go to setting it brings up the original ps classic settings instead of autobleem settings. all my games show up but those things wont show
Hi, bit late to the party .. Question. I've hacked mine with autobleem and gone through the whole process... if I was to do the same with another ps can I simply copy the files from my USB to a new formatted USB and have it work the same without going through the process ? Hope that makes sense

Amazing video, 1 question on multi-disc games.... how do you make sure the "cue file is properly formatted" "for both discs"
Thanks!
@@skellman42 got that message too and went black but after a while it went to the main screen, plugged the power out , added 1 game and tested it, and works
Does anyone know how to correctly add multi disc games? (FFIX for example)
Great video btw.
Is there also a way to play with 2 controllers? Or do u need to keep the usb in the console?
looking for this solution as well lol
Great tutorial! I may have to grab one of these at some point.
I strongly recommend SAMSUNG FIT Plus 128GB - 400 MB/s USB 3.1 Flash Drive (MUF-128AB/AM), it's small, fast and garenteed working on PSC
Fun fact, you can format a flash drive from the command prompt and you won't lose any data if you do it that way.
I believe somewhere else they said it was not.
Thank you for making this!
Can somebody recommend the best place to grab Roms? Ty !
Hey bud great video as always. Is updating a old version of autobleem as simple as dragging the new files into the old ones? I have an updated my version and quite a while So I wanted to make sure before I attempt Thanks so much!
Yep, drag and drop new version onto your USB and when it prompts you, replace all existing files
@@Restalgia thanks bro will do keep up the great work appreciate you ❤️
I'm using a SanDisk Cruz glider 128gb USB drive and it still can't read the PS1 classic, I did everything exactly and I just need help 😢
try a smaller USB drive in the front if you got it.
Yeah I’m surprised he didn’t show what the inside of his Games folder looked like lol. Did you figure it out?
@zanfear yeah I kept each game in it own folder with the bin cue files together
@@1972lesteryan Sounds good, thanks. For games with more than one disc, I'm guessing each disc had it's own folder rather than combining them into one folder?
@@zanfear yep
Awesome, thanks!
Hello, how can i make the game F1 2000 works on autobleem? The game just freeze after the "EA Sports" intro😢
Great video! Do we still need to flash the kernel if we're upgrading from 0.9?
Thanks for this great video.
Think I'll swap from Eris to autobleem. What power outputs for adapters are recommended? 5v 2a?
No less than a 2A.
For updating 0.9 to 1.0, is it fine to just copy all the 1.0 files and replace all the existing 0.9 files on USB?
And the Kernel was already installed by using 0.9. Is it no need to restore and re-install again?
Thanks 🙏🏼
Just simply replace all the old autobleem files just like before if you've installed the custom kernel
@@restautama Thanks a lot, mate.
hi, has anyone tried switching ps1 multi-disc games? did you manage to do this for the new games you downloaded?
Thx mate! It worked! ❤
Hi there @Restalgia, I am so glad you mentioned the hiatus Project Eris is on. I have a full setup with almost 200GB of games on a USB Drive all under Project Eris. Can you make a guide or point me to a guide on how to uninstall that and install AutoBleem?
As stated in the video, there is a link in the description to do that.
Yep, I have a link in the description on how to uninstall the PE kernel. 😁
OTG adapter on links is not being sold anymore. Is there similar alternative (with similar desing) which works for sure?
Dear sir, can you explain how to play Sega Saturn games?
This was a great tutorial! Thank you.
@@Restalgia thanks bud
Back again … If I use an external HD do I need to copy all the files from the usb drive I created to the external drive ? Just grabbed a new ps mini just needed a refresher
is there a site where i can download a zip folder of all the games?
Hey Restalgia, love the videos! Any idea why some games launched from the Autobleem launcher(without RA) causing the D-Pad to be disabled on the stock PSC controller? I am able to launch the games with RA and they work...but annoying so far. Running 1.0/Kernel not flashed currently.
Just a quick question, is it okay to install AutoBleem & add the games on the USB by using my Mac since I don't have Windows????
I personally have a build for both and bounce between them
not sure if i missed something, but it seems that even after flashing the kernel it boots normally unless the USB drive is plugged into slot 2
No mention of the .m3u file that has to be created to run multi disk PS! roms. Also, no mention of the Bios files also needed to run PS1 roms? Or have they changed things in Autobleem 1.0?
at 16.06 in the vid, how do you get the list of condole folders down the left hand side in RetroArch like Game Boy, GBA, GBC Mega Drive etc? thanks
Really useful tutorial thank you the only issue I had was some of the games metha data didn't load correctly there is no game image in the menu
Do you also need to take the power plug out when u want to shut it off?
Does this improve on the stock PlayStation 1 emulation you get on the classic outta the box?
Thanks for the video, I liked so much BleemSync/ Project Iris. Do you know why they're no updates suddenly for more than 2 years ( same for project lunar)? Thanks!!
quick question can i use wi-fi with this for retroachivement's?
Yes you can
If i dont install the kernel thing my ps classic will be able to boot to the official firmware if i remove the usb right?
Yep still good
@@Restalgia Ok, thanks. As far as save files go, reverting to the vanilla kernel will make all of the preinstalled games' save data go back to when I made the backup right? Like if I start playing FF7 after downloading Autobleem, then I revert to the vanilla kernel, my progress for FF7 will be lost, correct?
@@TLBidoof correct
Where do you download the games?
Does the bin/cue work on this if it's a single disc game? Or does it need to be PBP for single disc, and bin/cue for multi disc?
When I downloaded Autobleem 1.0.0 zip and extracted the zipped files, there was no roms or themes folders. Did I do something wrong?
Do I then have to copy the data from the stick to the hard drive with Auto Bleem and then connect the hard drive to the OTG?
I've purchased the exact same thumb drive as you and have followed the steps perfectly and it still wont work?
What Playstation games aren't compatible with the stock Playstation Classic emulator? Just the Light Gun titles, or...?
There was a bunch off the top of my head I think Parasite Eve 2, vandal hearts and wwf in your house
@@ChaoticHoly hmm interesting. I linked a compatibility list in the description and it says exactly what you said, so that's great!
@@Restalgia Thank you for the compatibility list!
I bought a USB already set up just plug it in and play kinda thing one problem I kept having was gamebox USB was breaking never did think an OTG adapter or the 2.0 4 port USB plastic hub that they all come with rather do the OTG people say the small plastic hubs don't work
How can I tell if a USB flash drive is low power? Will any 2.0 work?
everything worked except when I go into the autobleem screen and push select to go to the flash kernel app it doesn’t switch to apps it just stays the same. also when I go to setting it brings up the original ps classic settings instead of autobleem settings. all my games show up but those things wont show
When I download it, it didn't come with the any of the Retroarch cores, and it doesn't come with the cornel to over ride the system.
Hi, bit late to the party .. Question. I've hacked mine with autobleem and gone through the whole process... if I was to do the same with another ps can I simply copy the files from my USB to a new formatted USB and have it work the same without going through the process ? Hope that makes sense
Project eris or autobleem? 🤔
I have the old project eris and I like how it looks, but autobleem is updated and more reliable? Not sure...
I was able to mod my PlayStation Classic while missing the original controller, will I be able to do the same with Autobleem?
Thanks!!
Is it possible for PS2 games to be added.?
