    I’ve ran amsoil in my snowmobiles, atvs, my last three trucks and have never had a engine failed or any main parts since I started using it 18 years ago. I will be running it in my diesel I just bought when it’s time for it’s next oil change. I highly recommend it. Plus you get longer intervals.

      I started using Amsoil in my motorcycle, then atvs, and now all my vehicles. It is amazing what it does for Goldwing and Harley motorcycles. I noticed that it seems my rzr runs cooler and when the fan kicks in it seems to run less.

    Many manufacturers are installing Synthetic oils from the factory. I run synthetic in all the oils for many reasons. Better protection, better cold flow, longer duty cycles and better heat deflection. Also in many circumstances you can run a lighter weight oil and achieve better performance and better efficiency.

    I see so many people that have problems keeping manifolds on their pickups. 275k on my 15 powerstroke, I always let it idle a few minutes before shutting it off, especially after it has been pulling a load, which nowadays is all it does.

      Bingo!
      Let it warm up before putting the truck under load, and after load let it cool down before shutting off.

    I've used full synthetic in all my vehicles for years. I live and drive in extreme environments though.... desert heat and mountain driving are my norms.

    2021 3500 Cummins with 50k miles, pulls a gooseneck horse trailer from time to time. Only issue we've had was one time the particulate filter was full and it wouldn't go into regen. Finally did after 30 miles. So synthetic over semi synthetic? Running T5 10w30 from the dealer but may switch to T6 5w-40. Thanks. Love your videos and info much appreciated here sir.

    Nice video. I have a 2019 F350 6.7 and I run ROtella T4 10w 30 conventional oil with no issues. Have been considering switching to the T5 or T6 synthetic. Either way I change oil every 5000 miles and truck seems happy. BTW I do pull trailers and truck does work. Good luck and keep videos coming 👍👍👍

    Thanks for the info- I have a HD 2500 but nothing heavy to tow so I’m dying to hook up a decent load to it. Seems very strange to ask a friend- “hey can I tow your trailer for the weekend”? Gotta have a truck before you have the trailer tho!

    You re missing the point of running synthetic oil. At a microscopic level synthetic oil looks and acts like smooth ball bearings (yes they are actually round and stay that way). That is so it doesn’t scratch and wear parts as quickly. Conventional oil is NOT round but instead jagged and odd shaped (think kidney stone if you are unlucky enough to get them). It wears and scratches (wear is nothing but many small scratches over a period of time) all your parts. So as well as being designed to shed accumulated heat faster it extends the life of your equipment. You only seemed to care about the cooling properties.

    synethic changed often is teh best. but also most expensive. syn changed every 5,000-7,500 miles will NEVER have an oil issue. but that hoping you dont have other issues. otherwise you spent money that you never got a return on.

    @pd Hey brother got a weird question I don’t tow anything yet but wanna get a diesel for when we eventually get a trailer. I do lots of short trips around town 5-10 miles any reason you wouldn’t recommend getting a diesel 2500 ram for that? Replacing a Tacoma

    • @wizard_of_poz4413
      @wizard_of_poz4413 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The only issue you'll have with a turbodiesel doing that is that if you don't do at least a longish trip every now and then it'll plug the dpf.
      Do with that info however you wish just so long as you don't get a 6.4 hemi or any other gas HD because then you're just a disappointment to your folks

      A ram 6.7 is not meant to only go to the grocery store and back, you do more harm than good unless you tow a 10,000 lb trailer to the store.

    I have a question. I have a 2021 ram 2500, and I did the first dealer oil change. But now I’m gonna do the next oil change myself. I always run schaeffers in my older diesel. Question is would it be ok to change the 21 over to schaeffers at the next oil change, roughly 9,000 miles. I had the first oil change done at 2,500 and dealer put in whatever they run. Reason I’m asking is I’ve heard you wanna wait til at least 20,000 miles before switching to schaeffers. Thanks

    Amsoil and Schaefer’s are the only oils I believe to be a true synthetic. You don’t need a true synthetic until you do, and that’s when things run hot it will hold up and not break down.
