My grandfather got me into 60s-70s rock music, and when I found this video, I was so excited to show him. He said “I remember watching that man play before he wore glasses and had a mustache.” RIP Grandpa 1944-2019
victor zaror Certainly the young guy with the hair is no slouch on the guitar but I feel he is a bit in awe of that monster on the drums and Eric. Wow. Just wow. I know I am
Yes indeed, Doyle has quite the impressive resume. His dad was drummer Doyle Bramhall Sr., and he played with old blues legends like Lightning Hopkins. He was also a songwriter, and wrote with SRV. The Bramhalls and the Vaughans go way back.
No it does not. His solo here is nowhere near what he originally recorded. Why he won't break out an SG, Les Paul, or 335 for his Cream work is beyond me. There is no heaviness to this awesome song with his tone here. Exasperates me. I bought tickets for him in Berlin this month (5/22). I'm selling them if anyone's interested.
Was at this concert... When I went to the concession stand before the concert, the guy working said that he got to hear Eric sound check with an acoustic guitar... He said he was never a Clapton fan before, but that he would be from then on
clapton does not need all the fuz boxes and electronic tricks etc and man jordan hits them drums hard , its no wonder in 2021 that the stones asked him to tour with charlie watts out sick , great drumming by jordon sounds like baker
heard the original Cream Sunshiine of your love in 1967 SF and when I heard Clapton's lead I decided to learn how to play! His lead on Cream's Disraeli Gears 1967 LP, is can you say awesome?
In my opinion Steve Jordan at his best playing with Clapton and San Diego when they do motherless children the whole band is Rocky and you can see them smiling at each other
Goddamn! Eric was all charged up here and that's all because of the robust engine who drove this performance - Steve Jordan. What a great musician he is! Totally loved this!
Notice Steve's Cymbals changed, @ 0:04 and the Last "cymbal-smash" "Crash" @ 5:55 .... Force breaks alot often than realized...it held up! "Dont wanna break all-time Favs", Hard to believe the beating withstanding before failure...
After Ginger Baker, that guy is my favorite Clapton drummer
My grandfather got me into 60s-70s rock music, and when I found this video, I was so excited to show him. He said “I remember watching that man play before he wore glasses and had a mustache.”
RIP Grandpa 1944-2019
what a blessing to you -- i'am 62 grew up in the heyday of rock music
Steve Jordan is a monster playing drums, and with Clapton it's just amazing.
I thought that too, but he has been playing with Eric for years. Maybe that was not the day for him.
victor zaror Certainly the young guy with the hair is no slouch on the guitar but I feel he is a bit in awe of that monster on the drums and Eric. Wow. Just wow. I know I am
waiotahi52 - That is Doyle Bramhall II, texas blues royalty. Look him up. Quite an accomplished musician.
Yes indeed, Doyle has quite the impressive resume. His dad was drummer Doyle Bramhall Sr., and he played with old blues legends like Lightning Hopkins. He was also a songwriter, and wrote with SRV. The Bramhalls and the Vaughans go way back.
Praise to Steve Jordan👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
If decades had anthems this would be it for the 1960s.
Anyone listening in 2024?
Hell YAH ......
Today!!!!
everyday man
Cada 6 horas, como el ibuprofeno
Rock music perfection. Old man with grey hair and multifocal glasses showing the kids how it’s done. This song is timeless!
53 years and I'm still waitiing for a bad note from Eric Clapton !! LOL
What a great time to be alive, Steve Jordan and Clapton!
It's been over 40 years and this song sounds better than ever!
Insane
clapton's voice got way better in his old age
No it does not. His solo here is nowhere near what he originally recorded. Why he won't break out an SG, Les Paul, or 335 for his Cream work is beyond me. There is no heaviness to this awesome song with his tone here. Exasperates me.

@@bluesyace9564 Very true. I like this song on this Strat and rig set up - even better than Cream or 80s set up. And I liked his Soldano rig
Es ist unglaublich, was die Crossroads-Festivals mit den beteiligten Musikern anstellt
Was at this concert... When I went to the concession stand before the concert, the guy working said that he got to hear Eric sound check with an acoustic guitar... He said he was never a Clapton fan before, but that he would be from then on
"Old age and skill will always overcome youth and treachery" What a brilliant session, the drummer was terrific and Clapton's voice awesome.
Yeah, Steve Jordan on drums. One of the best!
clapton does not need all the fuz boxes and electronic tricks etc and man jordan hits them drums hard , its no wonder in 2021 that the stones asked him to tour with charlie watts out sick , great drumming by jordon sounds like baker
Love Doyle Bramhall too, where’s the love for him in the comments?
Came for Mr. Clapton, stayed for the drummer.
Spent 1 hour finding this song as I forgot the name - it was soooo worth it
Cause we are, really rocking ‼️ is that Jeff Beck, playing with Eric? Terrific sound & rhythm 🍭🧑🏻🎤👒
Steve Jordan is one the best there is, just locks in, stays within the song, doesn't overpower it, but his presence is felt
I’ve got chills watching this...saw Cream in 1969...it was phenomenal! And now to hear & see DBII is too much!

Elliot Portner well it’s not Blues actually. It’s psychedelic rock.
heard the original Cream Sunshiine of your love in 1967 SF and when I heard Clapton's lead I decided to learn how to play! His lead on Cream's Disraeli Gears 1967 LP, is can you say awesome?
Steve Jordan during the guitar solo with the constant kicks, incredible! Very Woodstock footage at that part. Great voice and playing Clapton!
Mr Clapton, forever
If you notice at the end of Clapton's solo you can see him mouth "Thank you". Amazing
Mr. Steve Jordan + Mr Eric Clapton

In my opinion Steve Jordan at his best playing with Clapton and San Diego when they do motherless children the whole band is Rocky and you can see them smiling at each other
