The usual thanks, Dylane. This has shone a lot of light on one the last "beginner" topics I was struggling to get lodged into memory. Also, your book "French Short Stories" is simply brilliant! It's exactly the kind of fun resource I needed to keep me learning French now the module has finished at university. Given my eagerness to learn this language this channel has easily been my best TH-cam discovery in the past year, thank you!!
Thank you so much for this video. I know I'm pretty late watching this but it was really helpful! I have my french exam in a few days, I'll update you on how it went. I struggle with these so much but your videos truly improved my grades. Merci beaucoup, Dylane ❤
Fantastic video, for a difficult subject. I think (as probably do a lot of people) I struggle with understanding when to use a reflexive verb and when not to. Sometimes it makes sense, I'm "doing something to myself", example washing myself. That makes sense. But the brushing my teeth one just doesn't. It seems like I should simply be able to say "je brosse mes dents". Reflexive verbs is definitely going to take me some time.
On utilise les réflexive verbs dans la même manière en espagnol, c'est une vraiment facile leçon pour moi, donc je ne peux pas me plaindre ! Après de compléter les tous exercices, Je vais écrire un paragraphe sur ma routine cotidienne.
Interesting video. Like many things in French, the grammar is the easier bit. Recognising reflexive verbs and reflexive constructions and their meanings is the part I find difficult. They appear in all sorts of places and it can be challenging to decode them.
I find that the passive form makes it harder as well "Cela s'apprend facilement" It looks like a reflexive verb but it's not! Practice Practice Practice :)
Why does the 'de' go before the 'moi' in the sentence 'Est-ce que tu te rappelles de moi?' and before the 'toi' in 'Non, je ne me rappelle pas de toi"? Amd have you made a video explaining where the 'de' goes? Also Thank you :).
