Pau said she would never play this song live. We were all standing outside the Pepsi Center that afternoon and thought we heard her practicing this at soundcheck. Most of our jaws dropped. All three of them had been suffering from the flu all week. Then as the show went along, they brought the piano out, and we realized that we were going to see something special. As one of the 8000-strong chorus in that room, I can tell you there was not a dry eye in the house. So emotional for everyone there. I have been watching live music of all kinds (rock, jazz, classical, opera) for more than 40 years. This performance is one of the absolute top memories for me. Watching your reaction brought me to tears again. What a journey.

I never cried to any song before 2020, when, at age 62, I cried at first listen to Angelina Jordan's "Million Miles". Then I learned of The Warning, who has made me cry many times. The love I have for this band, I get back 1000 times over from Dany, Pau and Ale. They are truly special young women whose talents are endless. I am a very proud patreon for both The Warning and Angelina.
Nightwish, 2020 Poet and The Pendulum gave me chills and tears. The Warning drain my tear ducts on a weekly basis. I am 10 years older than you, Andy, and it doesn't get any easier!
Angelina is also an incredible singer and young woman, she is so compassionate and full of empathy. I'm sure she would be great friends with Dany, Pau and Ale should they ever get the opportunity to meet up.
I don’t know specifically what this song is about, and frankly I don’t want to know, I know what it means to me. I’m 54 and I’ve struggled with crippling depression since I can remember, and I’ve never been able to describe it. Until now. This song is exactly how depression to the point of wanting to end it feels like, at least to me. Now, I’ve learned to cope in my later years, and I don’t feel it that deeply anymore, but I remember vividly how it felt. It’s horrible. I cried for an hour the first time I heard this, because I finally have the words, and it feels like a 54 year old weight has been lifted. Pau gifted that to me, whether she meant to or not. She’s a beautiful soul.
This was a bonus song on their last album when they needed another song to fill out the album. Pau brought them this song but stated she would never play it live as it is to emotional for her. Well, she did sing it at this concert which was the 10 year anniversary of The Warning. I do not think she will sing this again. I tear up every time I see this performance.
"Can't call for help, so I'll just call my name" - how hopelessly desperate is that? This 5'1" nuclear reactor behind the drums knows how to tug at our heartstrings with her pathos. Her soulful rendition of melancholic ballads she has been composing since she was 13 gets me everytime. Never thought I'll cry to a rock band before. But Pau has other ideas, of course.
I suspect her nearly falling apart at the end, crying so hard that she couldn’t even see the correct piano keys, and then outwardly crying after the last chord… was a combination not only of her feeling the emotion of the crowd and the love of everybody singing loudly, but also her emotions about … whatever it was… that she wrote this song about in the first place, and which caused her to originally state that she would never perform it live.
The courage it takes to be so vulnerable in front of so many people... amazing. This song breaks me every.single.time.. I almost didn't watch this because I knew it would happen again. When she breaks at the end I just want to give her a hug.
I do not watch this one very often. I am a 59 years old man and she makes me cry every time. It's like my daughter on stage and it simply breaks my heart but in a good way.
Still chokes a guy up watching this till this day. Pau lets herself be so vulnerable during this performance. I was watching via livestream and when I first heard Pau play the first notes of Breathe I jumped from my chair immediately.
It was very surprising to see Pau sing this song live! When the record company asked for another for the album, they came with this one recorded at home on their piano. Pau had Lava to add an addentum that they would never ask her to sing it live.
Thank you Red....got me again damnit....Pau may be the most kick ass drummer on the planet but also the sweetest, sincere young lady there is on the planet as well. Why do we all love these Ladies?? This is why! Have to go peel some more onions now...geeezzz 😥😥⚡⚡ And YES, this wonderful young lady wrote this song.
Never in my life I had experienced a night like that with any band. They are unique in the way you bond with them in a very deep, personal level. Their mere existence elevates the power of music beyond comprehension. Truly a miracle we are fortunate enough to witness in the making.
I am loving going on this The Warning journey with you! Breathe is one of the most heart wrenching songs I have ever heard, just Pau and a piano is all you need to kick you in the feels!
Pau wrote most of their early songs, at least she's written a good share of the lyrics and a lot of the music. She is a musical genius, actually all three of the sisters are musical geniuses.
Having a crowd sing your lyrics must be one of the ultimate thrills for an artist. Doubly so when it is obviously a song very personal to her. They haven't missed yet from what I've seen of them and I don't think they will.
Great reaction! You clearly "get it." Pau's piano playing style is quite often overlooked due to her skills on the kit but she bangs those keys like she pounds those drums. This is a high risk/high reward move and she kills it every time. Playing a song she vowed to never play live, on a real piano (not a digital keyboard), while sick to a crowd of 8000 in her home country....Just WOW!
Basically, all their songs start with Pau. So from day one she's been the sparkplug of their musical journey and success. In a way all of their songs are personal to Pau, but stop and consider for a moment. There she was performing one of her most personal songs in front of 8k people in this huge entertainment complex in her country's capital city. The Warning have been at it for 10 years since they were little girls and this event was a celebration of it all and there she was alone and a bit sick on that stage in the spotlight singing her heartfelt song with all those people loving it and loving her. Pau is a very passionate and emotional person. It's understandable that she was overcome with emotion and broke down. She had come so far and to be in that moment. Yeah. Extremely beautiful.
Dany did an acoustic version of When I'm Alone at this show, it's a personal song to Dany, just as Breathe is to Pau, and it's just Dany and her guitar. I think it would be worth a reaction.
Ugh, I simply can't watch this performance without breaking down. The passion & pain she showed while pushing herself to sing this live is awe-inspiring. Her talent (and that of her sisters) is completely on another level. Thanks for the great reaction!
I've seen them 3 times at small venues (200-600 people) but it amazes me that they can make an intimate connection with an audience of 8000. You should go back to their channel and watch the lyric video for this song. The ending lines are just oh oh oh, but Pau is too overcome on this stage, so the crowd takes over to finish.
Every time I see this somebody has to be chopping up onions. Watching them perform always makes me feel like a proud distant relative. Then Pau sings this…
Ey amiga. Great reaction Red, you're right, they are a special band. I've never seen a band love their fanbase as much as them, and we love them back. We are definitely a loyal army and we want to protect them. They are just great humans. BTW, Dany also has her moment singing When I'm Alone in front of their home town audience, it's also emotional.
Here we go.. Pau's making me a crybaby again.. Yes she wrote it...about someone she lost I think ..She said once, she would never play this live.. now we know why.. I love these young ladies so much. 🤘🎶✌️
Hello Red, beautiful kindred spirit that you are! Thank you, I have such appreciation for your reactions, particularly for The Warning.. You said they make your heart swell, and I LOVE that you are affected as we all are! I can’t watch this without tears, no matter how many times - in fact, this band brings me to tears every single day, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! These girls conjure in me a fierce, almost paternal protective instinct.. Guess that’s why we are The Warning Army.. ⚡️TW4EVR⚡️
Wow, i cry every time i hear this, i cied at the concert like a baby, crearly wasn't easy for Pau, but we all felt her at the concert i was mesmerized... One year before we were hit bye this song during the intermision @ the Metropolitan teather, but it was not the same at all, i have to Say "thank You for making me cry again, greetings from México!!!!
Pau wrote, recorded and produced this track as a bonus track for the ERROR album. She has said this is a very personal song for her but I have not heard any of the three actually say why. I have seen several people write something about the death of a friend but I have not heard any of the band say that. Dany commented during one of her midnight performances that one of her friends died. But I don't use Instagram and I know that Pau puts a lot of stuff on Instagram so...
So glad somebody, finally, recommended this version, the one with subtitles. It's also the best footage, so far. I hope The Warning had this show professionally shot, for release later. It was a concert for the ages. It's leaps above the Teatro Met. performance, which was a magical show, in it's own right.
I become more certain with each passing day that these young ladies will, without any doubt in my mind, reign supreme and dominate the world for as long as they find joy in what they do. They also will absolutely be recognized as the greatest and most influential power trio of all time. You say they are something special, I felt that the very first time I saw that Enter Sandman cover back in June of 2015. I have been enjoying your journey as you discover truly just how special they really are. LONG LIVE THE VILLARREAL SISTERS! LONG LIVE THE VILLARREAL SISTERS!
Hey Red! I've seen this a hundred times and I still cry. 8000 of their biggest fans singing every word with her. Pau described this song as a panic attack set to music and it is very personal to her. She couldn't finish the last part of the song because she was crying, so the audience did it for her. Special indeed!!!
This is a magical emotional moment of which I have not experienced in a live show setting before. Knowing the back story makes it even more special. 8000 fans showered Pau with love and respect by finishing the song for her what a beautiful display of support for a wonderful lady who gives so much to her fans amazing. Very nice reaction I appreciate you Red. The subtitles were a bonus that's the first time I got to see what she said in the beginning the fact they were all sick and performed so awesome is inspiring. I've seen the whole show from alitaaa who put a video out recently and it's is very good.
I didn´t know this song when I watched in this concert. Beign a fan of The Warning for a year or so, but I understand until that moment the unstoppable force they will become
I see people have already explained the emotion but you are correct. The emotion never fails with these 3 bad ass ladies. No one delivers like them and yes I cried again with you even tho I have seen these a ton already. I do enjoy your reactions!❤️
This old guy got a little disenfranchised during the mid to late eighties into the early two thousands, with the music that was coming out. Some of my favorite bands from the sixties and seventies had either disbanded, broken up, or had major personnel changes. Some put out new music, some good, some okay, and that were WTF? Then there were those that came up and lit the fire again. Disturbed, Volbeat, Buck Cherry, Godsmack, and Halestorm, to name a few. I caught these young ladies covering "Enter Sandman" in their basement studio, and I was hooked. Now, anytime I can find a live performance, music video from years ago to a new one, I'm there. I think they all contribute to the writing of their songs, I believe, could be wrong I was once a long time ago, Pau is the principle lyricist. That was cute, "I want to sing this", Sir Brian May of Queen early on hated when the crowd sang along. Freddie said "screw it, let them" and they started writing songs the audience could join in. I've watched performances from all over the world, Brazil, Japan and Ukraine to name a few and the crowd joined in in English.
Great reaction. This is literally a once in a lifetime performance. If you want more Pau, Decididas (Determined Women, a group promoting gender equality and fighting against violence toward women) gave her an award and she sang three songs at the piano for them. No subtitles. th-cam.com/video/NcK5vO6PAwQ/w-d-xo.html. Here is her accepting the award with subtitles. th-cam.com/video/UA5wX1NgXvU/w-d-xo.html
I've only ever seen this performance from the fan video of the show, but it brings me to tears every time. The raw emotion Pau displays and when she breaks down in the end breaks my heart, to display such vulnerability in public and to so many shows just how incredible they are, so humble open and almost one of the family. Pau has always been good at putting emotion into her songs but this was a whole other level, I'm glad she has her sisters and family with her to support her.
Thank You! You can see why Pau had said she would never do this live, you just witnessed some history, especialy if this remains the only time she ever dioes it.
Red, I agree with you totally that this was a performance for the ages. There are two momentous moments in which I have been emotionally touched in a big way by the warning. This certainly is one of them. I have watched this many times. I don't know how you got through it without breaking down although it was clear you were impacted as well. It is pretty universal amongst the fans and most reactors that this is a very special band. However, a reactor I saw recently took it a step further. He has watched hundreds of rock bands over a 35-year period and is somewhat of a critic. He takes it seriously and only a handful of bands meet his criteria. He made the statement that the Warning in his opinion is the best female rock band of his life. He also said that he has a top five of all rock bands he has followed through the decades. He stated that the Warning is now in that top five, on a level with Heart and Kiss. Some may disagree as they are very strong subjective statements. But it is clear the effect they are having on people that are following them. A combination of incredible talent and also magnetic personalities and down to earth nature. I have never followed hard rock before but I am following them. Peace and love.
@@redheadedneighborThanks. I agree with you on the classic rock element. I grew up listening to classic rock in the '70s so I'm quite in tune to that!
It's been many hours since you posted this video, and I've had it up all day without watching it. Not because I didn't want to see it , but because I knew what it would do to me and I tried to mentally prepare myself for it. I know this song, I've seen this performance of it, and I always tell myself that this time; this time I won't be reduced to tears. Well, maybe next time. 😭
It's a very emotional song, to think that she didn't want to sing it live because it was very personal and seeing the audience sing it that way made Pau burst into tears
Knocked out of the park once again 🔥⚡🔥⚡🔥⚡🔥 both the ladies and yourself. You're preaching to the choir when you say they're special 🎯🎯🎯 Great job Red ♥️🍒 I LOVE THIS BAND !! ✌️💖🎼

We all love "badass I take no prisoners Pau" but I for one love "sensitive and sweet Pau" even more. She, and her sisters, truly are gifts to the world. I wonder what the world did right to deserve such gifts, but still.
I believe Pau has said of this song, it's a panic attack set to music. I'm wondering if she suffers from sleep paralysis, something I've experienced. Google it if you want to know what it is. The begging myself to breathe line is exactly what it feels like.
"Can't call for help, so I'll just call my name." Its speaks for itself.
I am 53 and just cried at the end of this song. The Warning are a very special band.
She wrote this song as therapy to help her heal. A very close childhood friend had just passed on. She was deeply disturbed by her passing.

Whoa!!!
Written in honor of a friends sudden passing.
Crying time for me 😢😢😢😢pau!!!❤❤❤DPA all the way!!!!!
I've watched this video countless times and Pau's performance punches me in the feels EVERY single time.
⚡️TW4EVR⚡️
They are special, I had much pretty much given up on rock until these beautiful chicas saved the day. ❤❤❤
Tuvieron suerte los que lo precensiaron, difícilmente lo vuelva a cantar en vivo. ❤ Pau, hermosa.
Pau is the main song writer for the band
She writes most of their songs. She is so fierce and vulnerable at the same time. She wrote this as a 19 or 20 year old.
Hell You Call A Dream and Que Mas Quiere this Friday. The New Album: Keep Me Fed is being released June 28th
ABSOLUTELY beautiful live performance!!
Pau is an awesome drummer, singer, songwriter and person!
She conveys many emotions!
Viva The Warning!! ⚡⚡⚡
I told myself to never watch this again. Then I just had to see your reaction to Breathe. I'm a mess again.
Hugs. It’s a heartbreaking and heart warming song all at once. 💔
I've seen the whole show from alitaaa who put a video out recently and it's is very good.
i cry everytime!!! OMG!!! Love Pau!
Fantastic reaction, redheadedneighbor. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it
I didn´t know this song when I watched in this concert. Beign a fan of The Warning for a year or so, but I understand until that moment the unstoppable force they will become
Pau's always delivers a ballad with a lot of emotion. So the listener get emotional too (so do I)
I see people have already explained the emotion but you are correct.
Love this
Brings tears from a flood of emotions. That's all I am going to say about that.
You're doing a great job. You are cool beans.
Thank you kindly
Thank You! You can see why Pau had said she would never do this live, you just witnessed some history, especialy if this remains the only time she ever dioes it.
8001 people singing this song, all together !! :))
What a tribute to Pau. :))
To me, they are a breath of fresh air. They hold classic rock elements injected with their own style. It certainly pays off. What a joy, they are!
What is amazing about these girls is it doesn't matter what they play or where they play they always get love back.
😢 ❤TW⚡️
It's a very emotional song, to think that she didn't want to sing it live because it was very personal and seeing the audience sing it that way made Pau burst into tears
Love these musicians/entertainers
Knocked out of the park once again 🔥⚡🔥⚡🔥⚡🔥
both the ladies and yourself.
You're preaching to the choir when you say they're special 🎯🎯🎯
Great job Red ♥️🍒
I LOVE THIS BAND !!
✌️💖🎼
I love Your reaction !!!!
Me encanto tu reaccion ....
Thanks
Thank you so much!!
If this gets you, you should check out Dany doing her acoustic version if when im alone at thier 10th anniversary concert.
*Breathe*
when Pau plays Breathe i can't because i'm 😿😿😿
idk how she gained possession of my soul in addition to my heart...
i think we all know that when looking at a keyboard, any keyboard, through tear filled eyes, it is impossible to see the keys properly...
TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
💕
Red , I have a questions you ever go back and watch your own reactions? I asked because your reactions give me the same type of reactions you get from the artist.❤❤ There is nobody out there that happened to me but you. That is why you are the best at doing this by far❤❤ #eedheadedneighbor
I never watch my reactions.😊
Well trust me they're really fantastic and so are you
We all love "badass I take no prisoners Pau" but I for one love "sensitive and sweet Pau" even more. She, and her sisters, truly are gifts to the world. I wonder what the world did right to deserve such gifts, but still.
Excelente reaccion redhead, Also listen to the álbum version, it's a gem. Saludos desde Monterrey, Nuevo León, México.
I will!
stunning,, lost count of views but it tears me up each time,
Their lives have almost been Truman Show-esque--so much of their lives online for all to see. A fairytale come true for them.
Fairytale is just about right.
I needed a good cry.
Nice reaction Redehead, I was un that venue last octuber and I cry with Pau in that song😢
For your own pleasure, listen to the studio version of this song on the ERROR album. I can't put it on my play list, because I cry when I hear it.
I said it before, I seriously hope someone gave her a huge hug after that.
If this song comes on when I’m driving I have to make sure I’m not in heavy traffic because my vision is about to get all blurry 😭
Love this ❤
omg this was so emotional! 🥹 I love her! 🙏🤟💯
No goose bumps but she does make me cry every time I watch this one.
I believe Pau has said of this song, it's a panic attack set to music. I'm wondering if she suffers from sleep paralysis, something I've experienced. Google it if you want to know what it is. The begging myself to breathe line is exactly what it feels like.
That is perfectly worded
Pau is an Angel on earth!
She is perfect!
This is awesome!
So beautiful!
