With this video I was introduced to The Warning. To see a childish little Ale with bass and keyboard and giving lectures so self-confidently in her second language... wow! Then there's Pau, who, like the Muppet character "Animal", thrashes the drums, sings on top of it and plays over the break of a stick so professionally...damn! Dani is the big sister, who you expect more for that reason alone, but still knows how to shine through her singing and her guitar solos. If you've seen that, you know you've just seen rock stars of the future.
Exactly this performance made me warned more than 4 years ago… and now I hear them in our German rock radios and tomorrow will see them live in concert, another sold out show of their recent Euro tour! What a development! Thanks for your reaction, greetings from Germany 👍⚡️🤘
This was the performance that hooked many of us to The Warning. My thoughts were: can you imagine as teenagers, going to a foreign country, speaking in a 2nd language, and playing 3 original songs? So brave.
Ditto! After dinner one evening 3 years ago, we were watching a video for an English rock band called Marisa and the Moths. My son-in-law wanted to show me a video by an all sisters group The song was called "Choke". I really liked it but then the algorhythm played "Survive" followed by "Dust to Dust". I was hooked.
Heard them do a reaction and Pau said she was embarenced about that stick break lol Ale just said its not as bad as snapping the guitar strap as that happened to her in show after this

Every time I see this (and it's been quite a few) it makes me think about what this must have meant for their parents. Now that I've been upgraded from grandfather to great grandfather myself, it just touches my heart to consider what a wonderful journey it's been for their mom and their dad and how they're still maintaining that family connection even with the way they're finally starting to get the attention they've deserved for so long.

Unmendable written, if I am not mistaken, as message to music industry executives sort of like Narcissista is to critics in Mexico. A big, polite, middle finger. Oh and remember these youngsters are not speaking in their home language. Awesome sauce, respect!

I think TedX 2017 was that final bit of proof that these sisters had all the talent and passion to make it big. If anyone had doubts about them, this performance put those doubts to rest.

This is the performance that hooked me (and many others) on The Warning! So much Talent, Poise and Intelligence at such a young age, Rockstars from the start!
I always like this performance because it shows so much of The Warning's level back in 2017 -- songwriting, public speaking, performing, stage presence. And I point to their talking points whenever people fear The Warning is/will go pop or sell out -- they didn't do it as an independent band as teenagers, sure as $h!t not doing it now. Last fun bit: Pau coining the phrase "You Have Been Warned!" because that is so Pau!
Hey Red! This is the performance that hooked may of us in TWA! I was just watching TEDx Talks on TH-cam 5 years ago and ran across this. I was Dumbfounded! I had the watch Survive like 5 more times in a row to believe what I was seeing and hearing! Not a day has gone by since, that I do not listen to TW! Future Legends!
In the 2016 TEDx presentation the girls talk about the negativity they received for forming the band, and they also talk about the making of their first album. A lot of people dismiss the first presentation and only talk/recommend this one but the first one is also very important and you can also see the tremendous improvement from one year to the next not to mention Ale's growth spurt.
Never gets old watching reactors do this performance. I could see you were moved by it. I still get moved by it dozens of times later. Seeing Pau out of breath in that first interview segment is always funny. 🙂 Seeing her stick break only to land on the cymbal and then be sent flying later also never gets old. Little Ale on the keyboards, wise beyond her years. Classic and a must-watch for all fans of The Warning.
Survive, the song that hooked millions, the song that spoke to so many who had broken hearts..Survive, the song that is still is mainstay on TW tours. Still one of the best outros in rock and roll!
This was their second TEDx TALK performance. I've always felt that for the sake of seeing their growth, progress and evolution, one should watch the 2016 TEDx first, then the 2017 TEDx performance. Hopefully you can react to the first one with us, I think you'll luv it as well. 👊❤⚡️
Pau’s death stare right off the bat 😳. And you see why she broke a drumstick at timestamp 17:10 where a piece flew off to the right to land on a cymbal, and launched to the back at 17:48. I sometimes wonder if Pau channels Keith Moon. Pretty sure that’s Papa in the close up of the dark-haired gentleman, but could be wrong. If it is, he sure looks proud. You’re absolutely right about their heart, soul, personality and stage presence, even at these young ages (16, 14, and 12 according to the original video). And already an album published! Amazing.
I just can’t get that gigantic smile off my face every time I watch these ladies. This is what got me hooked to The Warning. That’s the first time I ever seen a standing ovation at a Ted X talk
You and Victorycast are fire reacting to The Warning, we can see in you both how we became TW fans too. This video was the one hooked me up the DPA. Cheers from Mexico!
Survive is still being played in their set list today on their European tour! It has stood the test of time even with all the other great songs they have written since!!!🔥😊⚡️
Nice job, love, your tears held out longer than mine did! Every time I see these girls play at this age, my heart swells as I try to imagine the strength, courage and determination they needed to overcome all obstacles in the path to where they are today… KICKING doors open, and tearing down stereotypes! TW4EVR ⚡️❤️⚡️
This is the video that got me sprung. I love me some the warning readings from the rock ‘n’ roll, Papaw from Memphis Tennessee love your work. Did do a great job.
Five days to go before I see them live, all being well! I do hope they keep _Survive_ in the set, it's one of my favourites. The way Pau handles the broken stick is just so professional, even at 14. I guess she'd already had a lot of practice...
Now you can see why _Survive_ is a fan favorite that they often play even to this day in concerts, even though the tune is pushing ten years old at this point... ⚡🤘⚡
Also, your comments on bands who are friendly to reactors as opposed to others - that has a lot to do with who owns the rights to the music, and how zealously they "guard their IP". One of the reasons _The Warning_ "negotiated" with Lava for seven months was their insistence that they retain all IP rights to their own music, which has historically been very nearly unheard of in the industry (although this is changing as the industry changes). Because they are the owners, they can insist that legitimate reactors not get blocked - though sometimes this takes a bit of time to correct, especially with new releases. Many other groups, especially those that have been around a while, are literally powerless by contract to prevent the legal rights-holders from doing whatever they want to do WRT reactors or whomever.
Hello redheadedneighbor. This particular video dragged quite a bunch of The Warning Army in...including me. Beside the awesome music it's also their personalities. It is a deeper dive into the history and world of Dany, Pau & Ale. They were already great songsmiths and live performers back then. And only got better and better. In addition - from my point of view - they teach what rock or even music in general is supposed to be. Last weekend I travelled in total around 1100 km to experience them live twice. What they bring to the stage is...elite (...stealing from your AS reaction 😁). Rocking hard (& loud), but keeping it happy and family-like. Thank you very much for the great reaction. Get a comfy room in the rabbit hole, because now you've been warned...by Pau herself. 😁🤘 Subbed.
Saludos.
I was recommended this video in my TH-cam feed while watching classic rock reactions during 2020 lockdown. Was blown away and immediately shared it with friends and family, “do you see this? I mean it, are you seeing what I’m seeing?” We talked about it for days and then I was lost in the rabbit hole. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It’s obvious that we love it.😊
😮 💦 The O for sure😂 I never get tired of that performance. Survive is always the best but you gotta the various version of When I’m Alone especially Dany solo at Teatro💪🏼❤️🤟🏼
The shock and amazement from watching the first TEDx presentation to this one is ten times more powerful if you were lucky to watch them in the proper order instead of going backwards.
These girls are so impressive, they made it on my spotify, and I don't have many from these days on my spotify. Them and Nightwish, and The Warning has quite a future ahead of them. Pau beats that drum like it owes her money.
Thanks for reacting to this, very enjoyable watch before heading off to work. The drum kit versus 14 year old Pau was never a contest! Still amazes me how well aware and level headed they were even at those young ages. If I could travel back in time and show my lazy, obnoxious teenage self one video it would probably be this TedX talk. 😝Only two more days and then I finally get to experience them live myself!
I saw this one early on after discovering what was at the time their newish videos Choke and Evolve, and this really solidified the idea that these ladies have a special presence and charisma that stands out from everyone else. No turning back, I’d support them no matter what.
This was so incredible to get to know these young ladies through this video the fact they were doing it in their second language on top of everything else was stunning. I got to this later in my journey down the rabbit hole and was so impressed with these young ladies poise and intelligence. Thanks for checking this out if you're like me you'll watch DPA with a better understanding of them after this and appreciate them even more. 🔥⚡
I have watched this at least 15 times, now. It NEVER gets old. They played with unusual intensity and passion. They killed a couple of Pau songs with a Dany song in between. Pau breaks a stick. It lands on a cymbal. She grabs another one and keeps going. A few bars later, she launches the broken piece into the offstage darkness when she plays that cymbal. It's hard not to understand why when you hear that the song is about a broken friendship. Someone didn't understand why Pau had to leave a party to go to band practice and said some demeaning and hurtful things to her. They all spoke with maturity, wisdom, and conviction, here - especially little Ale, who was 12 at this time. I'm sure a lot of folks there were doubters, but if they are paying attention today, they have to be proud.
I never knew you had three beautiful talented daughters but how you love these girls you remind me of a loving beautiful mom ❤❤❤Red you have the most tender beautiful heart and soul of anyone I have ever met ❤ #thewarningband #redheadedneighbor #bestreactor #beautifulcountrygirl #redsarmy #youmakemesmile
At the end of Survive I was shouting at the screen for you not to close your eyes and miss Paulina's insane drumming LOL! Another thing to notice on rewatch is that P. has her drumsticks in her back pocket during her a-cappella section and pulls them out at EXACTLY the correct moment to begin her bombardment. She's something else…
And that is where . . You Have Been Warned . Started . . If you watch after Paus stick breaks ,the tip ends up on a symbol ans a cpl of bars later you can see the tip fly as she hits the crash . . Its ok to cry . . I spend alot of time watching reactors and The Warning videos . Interviews and vlogs and rarely do i not shed a tear . . Their talent and who they are as people just washes over a person and ready or not ,theyl get ya . Great reaction . Till next time take care . Bye from New Zealand 💐🤟🇳🇿twa
Major hints in this performance that Dany was on track to become a great vocalist! And you made me misty-eyed when you started to tear up. They are role-model citizens of the world!!!
FYI The Warning will be in JAPAN on June 12th to open for BANDMAID and as some of us know, the 2 great bands are big fans of each other and managed to meet back stage at the AFTERSHOCK festival in 2022. I can't wait to see if Bandmaid gets to introduce them to the Japanese crowd and give hugs and cheers to each other after the performances. It is shaping up to be a must see event in Japan and the videos on TH-cam when they get released to the world, will get big view numbers. What a dream team concert for the fans and promoters to be part of.
These girls, besides being so talented, are very endearing. Most of the music that I listen to, of course I like it, but I don't have the same connection with the artists as I do these three young ladies. Great reaction RHN
all three of these songs are off the 2017 album _"XXI Century Blood"_ , an album about how they see the world with their GenZ POV and things they want to change in it... i don't recall seeing anything from DPA/TW about what inspired *Unmendable* ... some of us think it had to do with their negotiations with numerous labels that they turned down... *When I'm Alone* is Dany's song written when they were at Berklee Music College in 2015... she wrote it while very homesick and needing a song to turn in for a class assignment... Pau and Ale joining with only their instruments is very fitting for the feelings the song is conveying... *Survive* is obviously about a relationship going/gone bad... some think of a boy/girl relationship but it could be about any relationship... especially a relationship where partyA is telling partyB that partyB won't make it without partyA in their lives... to me, this sounds very much like it was inspired from the failed negotiations with those labels "that wanted to change them for the wrong reasons"... i can see those label people trying to get them to sign by trying to scare them with words like that... TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
Aloha RHN, Just to be clear: the drum stick breaks at 17:09, of your reaction video(not the original), and the splinter flies off right to land on Pau's crash with the holes, what some people don't realize is that splinter remains on the edge of that cymbal, at 17:16 Pau drops the cracked stick and reaches for a new one all the while keeping time on her high hat, and finally at 17:48, she hits that holy crash and the splinter goes flying off into history!! #APDVillaReality
I first discovered them doing Metallica cover (Sandman) when they were kids, like 10 years ago. I thought they were just generic like those typical young bands covering rock/metal bands that popped out everywhere during that period of time. And then they lost from my radar until 2 years ago. I am really happy that they grew into their own and making their own music and actually known by many because of that.
Nice reaction ❤:

Watching Unmendable and Survive reminds me of Pau's Digital Tour Bus interview talking about her gear when she said "I crash a lot".
👍 I've seen this many, many times. It never gets old.
😁🤘 Subbed.
I can see why!
It’s obvious that we love it.😊
Thank you for this discovery ❤
I realy love this girls ♥♥♥
😮 💦 The O for sure😂 I never get tired of that performance. Survive is always the best but you gotta the various version of When I’m Alone especially Dany solo at Teatro💪🏼❤️🤟🏼
Someone once said that "Pau beats the drums like they owe her money"🤣. It's hard to disagree. Pau is a fully charged human battery🥁🔥
As a 65 yr old when I watched this my brain was trying too keep up with what my eyes and ears were looking at. Amazing at this age.
Ya.. This performance of Survive get's me every time!! What a heartfelt Goovin' Jam. ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Great reaction Red! Yep, I went down that rabbit hole after this one also. They are special, I just don't how else to say it, peace.
I saw this one early on after discovering what was at the time their newish videos Choke and Evolve, and this really solidified the idea that these ladies have a special presence and charisma that stands out from everyone else. No turning back, I’d support them no matter what.
They still play survive, been playing it all over Europe last couple weeks.
Hi neighbor, Great pick for The Warning reaction. Yeah from Guadalajara Mexico!
It’s always nice to see this performance again since this was my introduction to The Warning over 5 years ago. ❤❤❤
This video is how I found them, when I was looking through TEDx videos…! 🔥🤘#NumberlyGarfs
I’ll be seeing them over here at a festival in the uk in july can’t wait 🤘👏
Classic and always inspirational. ❤
#REDARMY ❤❤❤
At the end of Survive I was shouting at the screen for you not to close your eyes and miss Paulina's insane drumming LOL! Another thing to notice on rewatch is that P. has her drumsticks in her back pocket during her a-cappella section and pulls them out at EXACTLY the correct moment to begin her bombardment. She's something else…
I just love that powerhouse!
@@redheadedneighbor Paulina the petite powerhouse!
@@redheadedneighbor The nuclear Pau-plant
Pau was angry when she wrote that last song. Makes you wonder if she’s gotten over it. Until you see drumsticks splinter and fly off like shrapnel!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Such a great story! Thanks!
Thanks mate 👍 ❤❤❤
Thanks Red! I’ll be sending more nuggets!
These girls, besides being so talented, are very endearing. Most of the music that I listen to, of course I like it, but I don't have the same connection with the artists as I do these
three young ladies. Great reaction RHN
I love watching this performance. Especially Pau just beating the ever-loving hell out of those drums.
THANK YOU!!!
I am so glad you reacted to this presentation!
Hermosa reacción de las diosas del rock. Gracias por todo tu amor 💗. Saludos
Hi Now you have to do the one from 2016. These girls are awesome. This is Dany's song
all three of these songs are off the 2017 album _"XXI Century Blood"_ , an album about how they see the world with their GenZ POV and things they want to change in it...
i don't recall seeing anything from DPA/TW about what inspired *Unmendable* ... some of us think it had to do with their negotiations with numerous labels that they turned down...
If you have not yet, I highly recommend seeing them live. They are amazing
