Just finished a rewatch of the whole series, saw that episode a few days ago and remember that line well.
Never seen Frasier but when I saw that actor had died my first thought was "oh no babish is gonna be sad"
It's a great show about two very cultured and high class gentlemen trying to put up with their blue collar father.
Good thing the whole series is on Netflix and hasn't disappeared yet.
It's on netflix. Watch it. It is one of the funniest shows ever. Plus you get to see the development of the internet and cellphone in real time.

Martin really was the grounding force for Niles and Frasier’s fancy absurdity. I loved the episode where he beat Frasier at chess and it drove Frasier crazy. And when Niles told the waitress to call it a cookie, not biscotti, and then Martin corrected her. And when he took them to the steak house that cut off their ties. I loved that show.

Make Martin's microwaved fish w/ ketchup!
My favorite food moment from this show is when Martin tricks Frasier into cooking dinner for him. Frasier is leaving to go out and Martin says something like, "Oh don't worry about me. I'll just put some ketchup on the fish and microwave it." Frasier finds this idea so horrifying that he changes his plans and stays in to cook a proper meal, as Martin expected he would.
Andrew Byers I’m sorry to quibble, but it’s Niles that’s tricked into cooking dinner after Martin bets Frasier that he can trick Niles.

He made Chilean Sea Bass for Jurassic Park, so the only thing of note is an aggressive Zinfandel.

I just finished watching frasier a few weeks ago and cried when I heard he passed as he was my favorite character the whole time. I've been dying for this episode, thank you so much for making it.
Making a Mole sauce with smoked pears, smoked peppers and a generous helping of vinegar and light brown sugar produces an excellent chocolate BBQ sauce for beef short ribs, pulled pork or a chicken pickin'. I'm sure it would be great for chip dippin' too.
D Hawthorne that's a BBQ sauce, but a chocolate mole sauce has cacao in it also.
My point, exactly. Adding BBQ ingredients on top of any Mole recipe makes a great chocolate BBQ.
He usually tries to improve upon the idea and this was my suggestion.

The Ballantine was a beautiful touch on this tribute... I can't say how many times I've watched this episode, and how much it just made me smile/laugh during this dark period of my life. Thank you, Mr. Rea. (Bonus points for you for mentioning Frasier's musical theater history in the description!)

I wonder, is he Jewish? Or maybe just a preference? I know I prefer sea salt and Himalayan pink salt to most other kinds of salt.
tshred666 it's easier to pinch and sprinkle than regular fine salt, that's his reason for using it iirc
Yeah, coarse sea salt kinda works, but you can't have the same kind of control for pinching you would get with Kosher salt. I swear by it myself, except for incorporating salt into stuff like eggs (which I only do at the last moment anyways). Then, ground sea salt works for that.

I have an idea.
Remember how you played mad libs in that one video where the group got to pick the ingredients to a recipe and you had to make it work? You should do that again but with us, you can give us a template and we can comment with a list of ingredients filling out the template and the comment with the most likes gets chosen. I think that would be really cool fun and unique and would add more viewer interaction :)

This was my favorite show my dad owns the whole series on DVD and I've got to say my favorite episode must be hungry heart solely because of the line "it took three cranes to lift you"
I love Fraiser! Every single day at work, my boyfriends dad puts this on for lunch and we laugh at all the jokes and enjoy it and it adds some laughter and heart into our days, we love it and thank you for making it! (Forgot to mention I work with my boyfriends family owned business)
seeing this just makes me want to watch frasier again, i was far too young to appreciate it when it came out. oh well, off to amazon i go.
