    I just picked mine up this morning. Not my first bike, but my first bike after a 25+ year break in riding.

      @@Tireguy90 Couldn't have asked for a better bike to get back on. Just shy of a thousand miles on it so far and the only thing I have done to it is add a set of Viking saddlebags to it. It's great in town and very capable of the highway.

    Just got it as my first bike. Loving it so far

    Nice one. Rode my '07 Shadow Spirit 40,000km around Australia and it literally just took it all in it's stride - dirt roads, 80mph roads, just got on and did it, amazing bike for what is totally suitable as a beginner's bike as well. Right with you about the tubes.

    I had a 2006 model as my first bike. I loved it so much!

    I began on an Aero. Instead of buying a small bike and outgrowing it, trying to sell it, maybe losing money, I still have it. It's just fine for a beginner IMO. I still enjoy riding it enough to keep it around.

    Honda makes cars, bikes, and lawnmowers. What more could ya want?

    Am I reading it wrong you only have just under 2 thousand subscribers ? Or is it almost 200k ? Because your video and sound are spot on. Plus this is a awesome review.

    Also, the total price is equivalent to the down payment on a Harley.

    I’ve been watching lots of Kawa Vulcan S videos (650) and its chain driven. This being 100cc more and shift drive….i want to ride them both or see a comparison.

      Check out my Kawasaki Vulcan S review. The Vulcan S does have a lot more torque and pull. It’s got the ninja 650 motor. You will definitely notice the Vulcan is faster.

    Thinking seriously about a Shadow Aero ABS. Does that come with cruise control or digital clock anything like that? Biggest mistake of my life I bought a new H-D Heritage Classic.

    • @tgmotorider.narratinglifeo3480
      @tgmotorider.narratinglifeo3480  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There are not too many frills on the Shadow, but it’s an excellent stalwart machine. I do not believe it has cruise control as an option. I think it does have a digital clock.

    Is this bike good for 6’5” beginner rider

    • @tgmotorider.narratinglifeo3480
      @tgmotorider.narratinglifeo3480  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That’s pretty tall, I think you’re gonna find foot pegs a little cramped no matter what bike you’re on. In terms of the engine performance and the weight of the bike it could be a good starting place.

  • @snatr
    @snatr 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Looks kinda squared off at the engine there as it appeared at the end of the video 🫤
    But @5:00 you mention the tubed tires. I've got spokes on my current bike and carry around a can of that slime to inject into the tube if I ever get a puncture. Not sure how it will work out as I've never had to use it. But I'm thinking it'd work and save me the trouble of inflating after plugging a hole 🤔

    • @tgmotorider.narratinglifeo3480
      @tgmotorider.narratinglifeo3480  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have plug-in air compressors that plug into a battery connector. And i keep a bacon strip kit in each bike. Just in case.

    • @snatr
      @snatr 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@tgmotorider.narratinglifeo3480 Yeah for tubeless. But I'm saying for tubed tires. If it worked, it might even be easier than repairing a tubeless tire because that stuff supposedly seals and inflates. Except I would most likely be replacing the tube as soon as I could. Meanwhile, you wouldn't really have to worry much about the plugged tire I'd think 🤔

    • @SVTBansheeman
      @SVTBansheeman 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The fix a flat slim is total crap and ususaly doesn't work.. Just have it towed. I used to hate dealing with tires that had that in it working at a service station.

    • @snatr

    @ricardopr54 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Can you switch those tube tires for tubeless ones?

    • @tgmotorider.narratinglifeo3480
      @tgmotorider.narratinglifeo3480  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You’d have to modify the rims. That type of spoked rims require inner tubes.

    • @ricardopr54
      @ricardopr54 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Do all spoked rims require inner tubes, like the ones some Harleys come with? If not, what kind of modifications will my rims require?

    • @tgmotorider.narratinglifeo3480
      @tgmotorider.narratinglifeo3480  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@ricardopr54 some spoked rims are tubeless, if the spokes are mounted on the outside perimeter of the rim. But if they are mounted on the inside internally of the rim, then they are usually inner tubes. My VFR 1200 X has spokes, but they are mounted to the outside of the rim. So my VFR is tubeless.
