Could you say why? I'm a pre-producer (still gettin started that means :P ), but I read just about everywhere that "no DAW is better/worse then another DAW" (at least not when talking about the major ones). So why would some people still say a certain DAW is not good for a certain genre?
Love watching someone demonstrate their craft and skill level. I’ve always found sampling and watching someone compose a track from nothing very fascinating!!!!!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙌🥇 great work
dude.. I am lying in my bed and just full of awe !! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL BEAT !! its refreshing like a cold ice at the end of the day, knowing you have worked your ass off in the fields, the sun is setting, a soft breeze hitting you while you sip that ice tea.. damn love that beat...
Those drums hit hard bro. I need a producer that can do this for me. I don't need to hear another "chill hip hop beat" from youtube, I need that energy
To everyone out there wondering what happened to him! Dubs Banger is alive and well, for the first time ever he posted a video on his IG out from jail!! Looks like he gonna get out soon!! WE CAN NOT WAIT for you to come back brother! MUCH LOVE
Look how huge the mixing MACHINE is there! It looks like a MASSIVE old-skool calculator!!!! 😄 I'm gonna download this clip, convert it into an MP3 file, save and then use the tune as a ringtone for my SAMSUNG devices because IT'S GOOD! 🖒
Gangster! This is true hip hop man.Shout out to the Jazz Artists of the past, present, &future laying out the blueprints of hip hop. Keep up the good work my brother the world is starving for songwriters and producers you got talent my friend.
I have music in my head all day everyday that I would love to put into reality. But I have no idea how actually make a beat. I've played with Fruity Loops and other online beat making sites. But you just gave me major motivation to give it a go. This beat you made it tight. Reminds me a something Gangstar would rap on
Dope boom bap shit, great sequencing on the chops, that's whats up indeed. Also nice to see the classic hardware mpc's being represented. Thanks for the upload.
I remember when I was in highschool in the 90s this one man that used to leave passed away I believe he was a record producer or somenthing maybe a radio locutor back in the 70 when he died he left his house fool of oldies l.p. records I remember lots of high school kids whent inside the house to grab records I rember the house fool of lp records records from the 50s to the early 90s ! he had the best music of all times
Man you legendary. This ones of those videos I used to watch daily nonstop. I finally got an MPC and been practicing daily. Appreciate anyone dropping by the channel and checking out my videos!
Wow Bobby hutcherson is amazing , I sampled little bs poem on fl , it's called sacred tribal lofi beat on my channel I chopped the bass in the song added some effects and made a pattern, it's my old work so its decent
I used to have an akai mpc 2000xl best sampler quality-price but i feel i needed more options or edibility so i sold it. But i regret the sell nowadays. Keep it up man, great instrumental and very nice feeling of vinyl vibes!
Dope!! I'm looking to record beatmaking vids.. How are u getting the audio sooooo clean??? What's your setup? Thanks in advance keep that boom bap alive!!!
Symph Eeze i use a dslr camera the sony alpha a77 with a shogun condenser microphone. you can achieve the same a canon rebel or an eos just grab a mediocre microphone attachment and have it close to the speaker
Just a quick question: When you're listening to the song you're gonna sample, do you immediately make the melody in your head ? Or do you cut the samples, play with them a little until you find THE melody you like the most and then get that fire beat like you did on this video ? Keep up the good job you're amazing dude, a true inspiration !
@@iggypeters5564 thats because the person asked the question 3 years after it was posted! you expect him to go through all his comments on all his videos for year and years and years and years after he posts them? You asked a pointless question anyway. go make some music and figure out what works for you not him.
Actually was gonna pull some stuff off of tape, clear it as best/needed, and splice up some OLDEE samples.... Heinously sold 1210s when I quit but got slabs. Nightmare. Id be back to rex'in up in recycle on my old Evo MK 41 (midi... but big enough! 4oct?... One mod wheel, single pitch bender. I made some noise!) Stuff like this fires me up with old mates with studios/ LPs and more contentment i was striving for. Hell... Mid 30s... Ancient in 2015 but then, if it's GOOD? Ahhh man I can't shake that! Keep safe all.
Kholas little spot i use to sample from the vinyl to old tape decks. then form the tape deck into my mpc. ive gotten lazy and stoped doing it years bak. the sound off of tape and ther analogue just added that old school feleing to it. its also good for drums as well. i feel you on that one
There’s nothing more pleasing than a simple chop and bouncy drums like this. So simple yet amazing
your ear for samples is on another planet, amazing.
+zachary montgomery thanks homie
+Dubs Banger how you do this for fl studio?

+Nolove26 fl studio for hip hop? no please. WACK

When you're so old school you even make the metronome by your self.
i swear
Something about jazz samples that hits my heart. That is the main reason why im into making music!
I had that MPC. The great way about working like this is that all the sounds have been mastered and compressed as they were from a record.
That's how sampling should be always done. Creating something completely new from some old stuff. Not just copying the old track. Dope video and beat!
I'd say alittle of both choppi g is great but sometimes I take itas paying homage to the song cuz the .melodies are sick!
On. God.
Sampling is chops and loops. Should be done how you prefer.
Agreed indeed!
Fr use both, and know when to use them in the song
That drum track gave me four minutes and 46 seconds worth of goosebumps
Watching you work inspires alot of people.
+Odin thanks homie
+Odin Ouh yessss
Dope
That's how it was done. Not like today. I love the video
True
Dope beat out of a dope sample, keep up the good shit
ItsATrap thank you sir
What album did he get the drums from?
You just made D.J Premier proud!!
I know that feeling, when you making the drums and you get so into it that you start shaking the whole house
Some ol' Guru/Gangstarr type shit here, nice!
John Hancock for real! Definitely has that Preemo feel to it
Damn that shit just comes together like Peanut Butter and Jelly.

+LilBoneyBone Whats good man...its a small world....
I like the chopped sound of samples sounds more raw.
Sounds like something nas would use
Something premo would make
Yeah
Please can you tell me if he used pc or a laptop to make this beat? Or he just simply used an MPC, a turntable and a mixer?
he just simply used an MPC, a turntable and a mixer
mpc turntable and a mixer
Sample and drums are nicely layered. I dig this style. I usually get a similar boom bap feel in my beats.
"Hoooooooooooo, that's wassup!" Love this!
Dude you make by far the best old school lofi hip hop MPC videos on TH-cam. I say that after 2 years of watching these types of videos.
nothing lofi about this mans beats, this is straight boom bap
Those drums hit hard bro. I need a producer that can do this for me. I don't need to hear another "chill hip hop beat" from youtube, I need that energy
This is by far the best video for me. The first time i found this legend
Those drums were solid man
I like that you actually sample from vinyl. Vinyl just has a certain sound to it that digital lacks.
