Great! Reminds me that you don't need much for a great beat. I also like to add delay on elements like Sax. And I like to use sample reduction / bit crusher for that 12bit / SP1200 sound. Timemachine and BitJuggler by Tonebooster are great plugins for that.
Your song sounds like one of those joints where the rapper would be talking about making it out of the ghetto or talking about the different ways folks survive in the hood or relaying some kind of introspection or such. Dopeness.
I usually get lost on youtube and go from soul playlists to more playlist to channels that upload old vinyls or stuff in other languages too. Whosampled.com is also a good place to see what kind of records and artists have been sampled before. From there you can find instrumentalists and discover their discographies, or see who they played music with, and you discover more and more stuff to sample
its just a wav file but if you want to make it yourself, play a kick drum and then a reversed kick fast over and over, this is whats happening when scratching the vinyl forwards and backwards
Damn boi your Englisch is komplett akzentfrei. When I saw the deutsche Schrift in your Ableton I was like "neee digga der ist deutsch und spricht nicht wie ein Blecheimer Englisch UND baut geile Beats?! Feier ich!"
Hey man amazing beat super chill yeah you really hit that 90s vibe! What Tech are you using to make this on? I’m looking to get started, you’ve inspired me. Thanks
Good video, in my opinion i also mentioned some plugins too give more this analog sound like simulators of SP1200 (there are both i think and very cheap) and also the decimort 2 for the sax is a very good idea (i recomen the preset Hass filter).
This was an absolute blast to watch! The whole process is so interesting! Btw what software do you use to produce these fire beats man!? I’ve got the same midi keyboard as your one in the video but I really don’t have a great software (Soundtrap)
This is absolutely fantastic man, huge props to you 🙏 Btw I was wondering, where did you find that record scratch sound? I hear it everywhere but don't know how to make/find it.
If you want to make it yourself play a kick and then the same kick in reverse over and over back and forth, thats what a dj does when scratching the record
There are quite a few free plugins that can give you that sound. Any general "lo-fi" plugin will have various scratchy record sounds/noise. "Vinyl" by iZotope or "Origin" by Cymatics are great choices that I've used myself.
one of the few accurately 90s sounding tutorials. great job
Appreciate that
I hate when videos say 90s hip hop tutorial and the shit just sounds like modern day boom bap
Yes exactly. It's just the small details@@musicbyjmt376
Agreed, great job Fabi

ableton gang !!!!
Great video and explanation as you progressed through the beat. Earned a sub from me.
It is important that both the samples were hq right? Otherwise the beat would sound much worse

✨✨✨
gutes Ding, hast mal Lust in Kontakt zu kommen. selber am beats bauen. lG
Insta 👍
if you really into sampling, get an mpc. you'll have a much faster workflow. making boom bap beats in a daw is just weird
i do weird things
@@FabiODNmusicme to bro😄
Man sell a kidney and get a MPC 2000 or something! It’ll sharpen your skills even more bro! You produce good beats bro!
