- I wanted to help everyone understand why teeth turn various colors. There are some big differences between intrinsic (inside the tooth) and extrinsic (on the surface of the tooth) stains.

It's actually so upsetting, my oral hygiene is impeccable and I never drink coffee (if I do I rinse my mouth afterwards). My teeth are SO yellow, they look like a 50 year old chain smoker's🙄🙄🙄

My teeth are just naturally yellow, always have been. It’s a genetic thing, nobody in my family has white teeth. They look like I don’t brush them but I brush them really well twice a day, I never even have cavities or plaque either. When I was a kid I wanted nothing more than to one day get porcelain veneers on my teeth but I don’t really care anymore
me too! But its just on my dad's side so its hard to witness how pearly white my half sisters' teeth are lol
I do the same and my teeth are just naturally yellow. I still brush regularly though to avoid plack build up. It always used to bother me I felt like an outcast in alot of ways.
But I've just learned to live with my natural yellow teeth. Can't help the genetics that we're given.

@@achillesjoe1447 yeah if you have naturally yellow teeth I think you have to whiten them every once in a while. It's not permanent which sucks.
Decided I am getting a full set of veneers cant stand looking at my yellow teeth tried everything nothing really works .. tried the in office $1200 bleaching laser system it was the most horrific pain ever! and barely made a dent.. Thank you Doctor!

I was wondering if forsus appliances can fix a recessive chin?
And can you have them placed at the age of 15 or 16?
I'm basically asking if there are alternatives to fixing recessive chin/jaw with orthognatic surgery.
Hi Cherry. A forsus appliance typically works best for younger patients (9 to 12 years old). At the age of 15 or so you can still get some good lower jaw movement (and chin) with a forsus appliance so I would definitely try that if you are attempting to avoid surgery. You can also ask your orthodontist about a Herbst appliance. I like those a little more because if designed correctly they are less visible and tend to be slightly more comfortable. Hope that helps!

I tryed a dly whiting thing on TH-cam and they rub a lemon slice on the teeth and brushed it with toothpaste an i did it without knowing anything and know i have yellow teeth rather than before... Now i really i feel like scammed for a lifetime...

You can't typically brush your teeth white. You need to whiten them with a solution.

Because it’s like it’s too much water like it’s like way too much bubbles and stuff when I’m brushing so the toothpaste isn’t doing the work at it’s full potential it’s more so bubbles and water and even when I don’t wet my toothbrush it’s still like that. There was one time where it was barely any bubble it was mainly just the toothpaste like it’s supposed to be and my teeth and tongue were much better for that one day. Idk what I did. But then again the next day it went back to being all bubbly and stuff, idk what to do I’ve had this problem for 3 years now.

That may be tough to reverse until you are done with braces and then can whiten your teeth:(
