I love that this gentleman talk about other health issues. From experience : Your teeth when you have a tooth/teeth infection and not treated can lead to ENDOCARDITIS. Which is an infection of the inner lining of the heart. Which caused two things, death (because usually not found in time) or emergency or intermediate valve replacement in your heart. So, when they say teeth issues can lead to heart issues is TRUE! This happened to me. I was in the nursing field working for a doctor. I had found out i had a small tooth infection (come to find out it was for about 8 months) One day I was out breath and a weird rash on my legs and torso. I showed my doctor, and she immediately grabbed me over to the hospital nursing desk and I had to have daily IV antibiotics for 10 weeks. But that saved my life. Turns out she knew immediately because her father died of it. So, people, lesson is taking care of your teeth, and if you have bad teeth take care of them. See your dentist to figure a plan, because they can lead to other health issues.

I just had a wisdom tooth removed as at 34 it had erupted enough to create a pocket that was uncleanable. During the time before the removal, I was constantly sick, often had fever, night sweats, bizarre dreams, waking up with a racing heart or struggling to sleep due to a racing heart. It was awful. The healing hasn't gone too well just yet, and yet I'm still better off. It's incredible how sick a dental problem can make you.

Appreciate you … you know I had no one to give me info and was lost for years with no where to turn .. I want to get my story and the information out so no one feels like I did .. it sucks to be embarrassed and sick and anxiety and fear … hoping you don’t break another tooth and not really understanding or knowing options

Do not go to a place that puts your permanent set in day 1. You don't have to live with gaps from healing. The acrylic temporaries are fine for 4 months. Look and feel like the final. Bit the final fits perfectly after healing.

It sounds as though you are getting "real implants" ( individually implanted teeth ).. These are "implant attached dentures"... A very different situation !! I have individual implants and it involved bone grafting, soft tissue grafting and time to heal. One tooth alone could cost $12, 000...
@@1953childstar My nephew had 4 implants to hold upper and lower dental plates in place. He had it done in India and had to live there for 6 months going through the whole process. It supposedly was a lot cheaper than having it done in the states. I think he said it cost over $50,000 to have it done.
@@airmanma Wow, I had no idea the "Implant attached dentures" were so expensive.. I know a wealthy attorney who had all his teeth implanted individually and it was nearly $300.000...

To me it felt like most just wanted me to sign and sit down and let them get to work and the process was lengthy and stressful and didn’t seem to have my best interest at hand . I didn't go to Nuvia but my experience getting implants has been pretty much the same as this guy. I also had several consultations before I decided on a dentist. The dentist I chose does EVERYTHING in-house. Because of that, it did bring the cost down. Don't get me wrong, it was still very expensive but I have NO regrets. I decided to see it as an investment into myself. At all of my consultations I asked how long these implants will last, I was told 45-50 years. I said, Great! I'll probably be dead by then lol So, if your thinking about it, I say go for it!

Loved this video, I had a full mouth extraction one year ago March 23. I have dentures now, but this is my goal. Hopefully the price will be a little better for me since I would only be getting the implants 🙏🏽.

when my baby teeth came out in the 60's my permanent teeth were a disaster, I had to wear braces for years because they were so messed up, when they took the braces off my teeth I had braces on too long and a bunch of them were rotten from having those braces on too long. so I dealt with that for decades during my prime adult years. about that time the anchored dentures started coming out. we decided that was what I needed and boy what a blessing they have been. to smile with out shame for the first time in decades. it's been a couple of years and no problems

Do they put the implants in while your under the same anaesthetic they use to remove the bad teeth or is 2 different procedures and how did they help with pain management for week after getting all your teeth pulled out?

@Therock097dmx, are you eligible for Medicaid? They've got great dental benefits now. Call Medicare and ask about Medicaid. That's how I got it. Also have a senior advocate who comes to the public library once a month. They're very helpful! Call your local library and ask. If they don't they should be able to lead you in the right direction as far as another library who has the advocate.
Unfortunately, Medicaid and Medicare don't cover dental implants, seeing them as cosmetic. 😔 However, we do offer monthly payment plans.

Well, my dentist of 5 years is doing mine, I finally said let’s do this! I was just going to to have regular dentures on the top and implants on the bottom until they took the mouth reading type X-ray it’s the one that is like a wand for better words and they go all around the inside of your mouth, they found out I have a bony ridge on the roof of my mouth which makes it very difficult for good suctioning of the dentures and the assistant said well we can remove it and I’m thinking I’m having a local, no way are you chiseling away at the roof of my mouth AND pulling my teeth! So I spoke to my Doc and he said the other alternative is to get the implants up top also and the roof of my mouth won’t need the suction. So that’s what I’m doing. But I’m terrified but I also trust him 100% it doesn’t hurt that my daughter is an assistant 😂 Oh and if I freak they have gas, I hope I don’t freak. 😬

What I wouldn't give to have had a place like that here and to be able to afford it.
Between a horrible dentist who damaged many of my teeth and several decades on medications that caused issues, I had to get all my top teeth pulled. And I still have a couple bottom teeth that I need to find a way to get fixed before I lose them, too.
My dad had promised to pay for everything. But then he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. We lost him 2 years ago.
I did get my dentures, but not the ones I was hoping for, which were similar to these. I ended up with snap in dentures, instead. But I'm also having to pay my mother back for them. Which is not easy because I'm disabled and on a fixed income. By the time I'm finished paying her back I'll have to start saving for my replacement dentures.
My teeth at least look better than the ones many people I know have, but they are still too big and uncomfortable.
I've always had mild TMJ, but I'm starting to think my teeth have made it worse. I am glad that I was able to get these, at least. Because during the healing time after my teeth were pulled, and then again after my implants I could only tolerate the full denture long enough to eat, but I was fighting my gag reflex constantly. As soon as I finished eating, I was pulling them out if I was home.
If I'd kept regular dentures I would never have been able to eat in front of anyone ever again.
Even with these much smaller snap ins I still have problems with eating, just nowhere near as bad as it was with my broken teeth or those huge dentures. My biggest issue is that I can't eat anything like sandwiches or burgers unless they are very thin. It's the size of these teeth because I didn't have an issue biting into things before my teeth were pulled. I had issues chewing, but not biting.
It's still an improvement over what I had before.
I'll still keep trying hard to get this loan from my mom paid and then my goal is to save every penny to work towards dentures like these. Maybe by then the nearest Nuvia won't be almost 4 hours away in Marietta, GA.
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to have these. I can finally smile and feel confident again. And for the most part it's a huge improvement. Just not an improvement in my TMJ. My migraines have gitten worse and harder to get rid of and I have an almost constant pain on the right side of my jaw. But for now I can live with it, it's a huge improvement over the constant toothaches and eating nothing but soft foods.
In the meantime, I'll just daydream about my future beautiful smile.

You should have 2 visits a few months apart. First visit temporary implants which dont come out..2nd visit they unscrew em and put in even more permenater-er-er ones.

I was awake, just got numbing shots for removal and bone grafts and more numbing shots to put implants in. It was no worse than having regular dental work done for years on end. No knockout meds, not put to sleep , nothing besides numbing shots. Worth it.

I think There should to be a small gap so your gums have blood flow . Honestly after 2 plus years I don’t even think about it
But the gap can store old food fragments causing bad smell right? Isn’t that gonna be a disadvantage?
No different than your born with teeth No as you normally have e a spring and it rinses out and then at home you brush and use water pick . Having rotten teeth gives you bad breath

Since I’ve been born with a cleft pallet, I don’t believe that I would be a candidate for this type of procedure. The dentists say that I would need crowns.

People with anxiety should know that besides local anesthetic, you can also have nitrous/oxigen cannula to help you relax, or conscious sedation ( where you are in a light sleep mode but still comply with commends when dentist talk with you to open wide, close mouth etc) and you can lastly opt for a full sedation ( where an anesthesiologist comes in when you’re implant surgery is scheduled and you’re knocked unconscious). But this will cost you extra out of your pocket.

I am not sure what “shakey” means ! I will say my teeth were broken and ground down due to me grinding my teeth . I had rotted teeth that broke off at any given time. I hope you find solution- Godspeed

What happens when you get little things between the gum and under the appliance, like Mrs.Dash or pepper or tiny food bits that get stuck. That’s gotta be painful?
Actually for me it’s not painful . I just take a drink when I am out in public and swish water between prosthetic and gum and it clears out . Great question btw

Yes I had went to many different places and one place 3 times all before going to Nuvia . Most places wanted me to be awake during the procedure 😮 Heck I already hated going to dentist lol of course my teeth never got better nor did they stay the same … they just kept getting worse

Smart question 🙂 I have to water floss and use dental super floss. I had it done in January. Best decision I made for myself despite reluctance from my wife due to cost. Once we had several heart to heart conversations before and after the procedure she finally understood my feelings and desire to look and feel normal again with a whole set of beautiful teeth that I was born with but neglected over the years. I am 61 years old and have no regrets.

My partner had his done this way in UK. I asked about the bone and waiting before fitting. They assured us this is the new way of doing it things have changed

I haven’t had teeth for 9 year’s the first time I tried to get implants I didn’t have enough credit to get a loan I built my credit score up and tried again and I was approved 🙏🏻🙏🏻 ) right now I have my implants in and on July 10th I’m going to get my teeth I can’t wait I’m tired of having a denture but the bottom denture won’t stay seated even though I put denture powder on them it’s because my bottom gum is lower then my top gum so the denture can’t sit on it properly. I wasn’t knocked out I had ton’s of shot’s in my mouth though they told me they couldn’t believe how calm I was they said most people can’t sit still when getting shot’s in their mouth I said there isn’t anything I can do about it so I have to accept that I’m going to get them. I can’t wait to get my teeth I haven’t been able to eat anything hard or even a little hard like Carrots or Cucumber’s or hot dog ( the inside come’s out because I can’t bite down hard enough to break it off so the inside just come’s out‼️ Lol unfortunately I will be paying for these teeth for a long time loan’s are not cheap there is the price of the teeth and then interest for the loan but I will finally have teeth I can’t wait to actually smile and not see a sunken in mouth 👍🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
