Quitting wasn't ease at the beginning but after a few months, I really got used to it.
What I did instead of social media in the past two years:
WhatsApp became my source of knowledge around friends. I invested in the depth of connection with people around me, not just checking some photos, sending emojis etc. I invested the time in myself and I prioritized learning. I used kindle instead of instagram and read 36 books. I wrote a lot.
I was a happier person in general without the constant distraction from the whole world.
Why am I back? There are positive aspects of it. I started teaching yoga again. I missed the beautiful community I have built before.
Am I back now? I don't know, we'll see 😉 subscribe, if you want to see what will happen next. I am also curious.
Really helpful! Im trying to figure out how I can replace that connection with people without socials
I only have TikTok and TH-cam
👍 That’s actually less than what people usually have! 😉
I had a wonderful time attending to ur yoga classes both in person and online. I kindda owe u for that good feeling I had afterwards. ❤
Thank you so much for joining! 🤗🙏Hope to see you again! 😊
Heyy thanks for sharing your journey with us ❤
And omg I can't imagine quitting even for a month and you managed to do it for 2 years. I really want to try at one point in my life to see how it will go. I think I would also start reading regularly again. Because I remember when I was in high school, I was a good reader but not much anymore...
Totally agree, now that I am back for the past two months I can't believe how I quit 2 years ago hahah. And my reading has declined in the meantime.. I think the stuggle with social media addiction is very real!
Social media is worse than doing cocaine.
I don't really know about cocaine but it is true that social media is very addictive
