Here are 5 important points from the video:
    1. Some Muslims fall into the trap of romanticizing and overly fantasizing about their future spouse.
    2. This thinking can lead to disappointment and unhappiness.
    3. The greatest love story is between you and Allah.
    4. Focusing on your relationship with Allah is the key to true happiness and fulfillment.
    5. It is important to live your life and focus on your relationship with Allah, even if you are not married.

I had a similar reaction to the girls crying over the idea that love is a form of rizq (sustenance) and that some people may simply never experience it or get married in this life. To me, that’s just Islamic common sense. I’m 31, unmarried, and have never had a man show interest in me or ask for my hand in marriage. I’ve never dated, I have a master’s degree, I consider myself attractive and well-put-together, and I’m committed to my deen. Yet, I’m still without a husband. Of course, marriage is rizq from Allah. Just live your life-if you find someone worth marrying, that’s wonderful. If not, that’s fine too.

I've come to the same conclusion. If we are not married, that is our test, just as is everything else in our life. Are we going to be miserable over something we don't have or are we going to focus on and be grateful for what we have? Are we going to be hopeless or are we going to prove our belief in the akhira and our commitment to jannah by being patient and hopeful that in Jannah we are guaranteed a spouse to be with forever with no separation or pain. Are we going to despair for being single or are we going to see that this means we have no distractions? There is nothing to come between us and Allah. That we came into this world by ourself and we will leave this world by our self. That we came from Allah and to him is our return. That, just as you said, all that matters in this life of ours is our relationship with Allah.

I do not know how i got here, I am not a muslim nor arab and in a long term relationship lol, but I am so thankful I found this. It is true that we tend to put so much value on a significant other we sometimes forget there's so much more to life. I notice myself to be always pretty stressed trying to keep track of how my relationship is going, instead of looking at myself or the other people around me, someone or something else that doesn't have to do with my partner, and it's so bad to put your significant other at the center of your life; with that comes pain and a lot of stress. It's hard to switch perspectives but it's a necessary process, years into it I feel so much lighter and accomplished. Im still not quite there yet, but this point of view makes it easier.
Aside from the relationship thing, it is very refreshing to hear a different point of view, someone with own criterion and not just following the general narrative, thanks for your content :)

That one way to live usually being married young. And then the red pillers online acting as though marriage is the end all be all, and is supposed to be one specific, structured, rule-driven way. Like even within marriages, people are gonna be different. Every marriage is unique as well. Practicing will actually help you get closer to Allah. Also if you believe the 5 pillars of Iman (5 pillars of faith) in Islam, you're already a Muslim at heart. And if you practice the other 5 pillars of Islam, 1. Praying 5 times a day 2. Giving Zakha (charity) each year. 3. Fasting Ramadan 4. Doing the pilgrimage to Macca (if you're physically and financially capable) 5. Search up the 5th one please and remind me what it is. Those pillars mean, practicing what's in your heart. meaning, reflecting your faith in your actions, and practice. Btw, you can start doing it gradually, like you if you feel like you need time, you can start with 1 prayer a day and then when you get used to that, you increase it gradually to 2 until you get used to it, then 3, then 4, then 5. But if you feel like you can start right away and pray all 5 then that's awesome!! May Allah bless you and makes it easier for you😊👍🏼
      AlhamduliAllah that He's guiding you

Hi Farah, I don't think so many people were surprised that love is a form of rizq. I think it just hit differently. I'm well aware that everything I get is from my Rabb, even when someone gives me a tissue to blow my nose. Like you said, it was like pointing out the obvious. And sometimes pointing out the obvious is what makes it hit harder. I know that my mum can leave this Dunya anyway, but when she says it, I shed a tear or two because it just hits different. I absolutely love the angle of your conversation because it's also a journey I've been on - learning to only hold on to Allah and not overly romanticize the things that might or might not come. But I just thought to drop my thoughts on the Omar Suleiman thing.

It has been a month since the break up and I don't know, media is all about love and I feel like it's constantly offering this sweet love that gives dopamine and I don't know it is true it is very overrated in an unhealthy way forgeting that taking care of yourself and taking care of the ones around you comes first. The second thing im taking from this video is what we upload in the internet will have a consequence with many or one individuals. When you spoke about that I thought "Well... People choose if they want to belive in something or not it's up on them" (Talking about everything) and then you came with "Thinking like that is a very western individual way of thinking, we are a community we should take care of the others" And DANG that hit! Cuz yeah modern society has been built to become individualists. But it doesnt really have to be like that.

Subhan Allah, that guy came to your house on ramadan one time and then you mentioned him in this video now people will make lots du'a in shaa Allah for him with rahma and maghfira
ربنا يرحمه ويغفر له ويدخله فسيح جناته ويلهم أهله الصبر والسلوان
It is really beautiful how Allah made this thing to happen so we would make du'a for him

I've been crying and overthinking for the past couple of hours about my future in general and your video just popped up and I managed to stop and listen to what u said... I must let u know that what you're doing here is important... You reminded me of my relationship with Allah, This relationship may not be in its best form but I'm grateful that I'm working on it and I'm grateful for u helping me fade all these unnecessary thoughts in the background and just focus on NOW and what's really important and so I thank u for that🙏 "And yes, I cried my eyes out at the end of your video, but it was relieving"

I cried when you said that the only true love is between you and Allah. I never been in a relationship and I was looking hard for the one yet you're video reminded me of the fact that I experienced the first time when I was sixteen.

33:50 this was so gold. Putting this out here so I can come back when I overly obsessed about my future husband to remind myself of the reason we are here in this dunya

Alhamdulillah, finally someone who raised the issue, who spoke about it. I am happy that I am not alone in this thinking even though I never doubted myself, I have been criticised and been given suggestions like "ChilllLlllll enjoy the life" lol. Apart from those couples who are displaying every move on social media, there are the hijabi's spinnign 360 to share what they're wearing. For me, I'd like to keep it private, instagram/socialmedia isnt life. I am single and struggling in the society who has become so numb to so many things. We are so far away from the fundamentals of Islam, I even feel Id probably be dying unmarried, which is fine because I wanna end up with good people who have higher goal so it’s nice or none. Getting a spouse with those strong beliefs is almost like a distant dream for me now.

I agree with the title so so much 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 I say : create the life you love before looking for the love of your life. Because then you won't be looking but finding. Haha. ❤️❤️❤️ Soulmate starts with SOUL. Find your SOUL before your SOULMATE.

I got dumped 2 days ago and i just gotta say. You're right lol, i needed to hear the fine line which is ti get a life. I feel like my life has revolved around my relationships and they have also shaped my personality. It sucks when it ends and then you have to figure out who you actually are now that you don't have that person as a crutch.

I applaud you for taking the Khadijah approach and encouraging other sisters to do the same. I applaud you for being vulnerable and sharing the “humbling” experience. And I am glad you concluded that the only real love story is between you and Allah. There is a romanticism epidemic in the modern world, we replace religion and devotion to God with love and devotion to another human being. This unreasonable expectation of love as our purpose in life & our only source of happiness has backfired on us, causing divorces to occur at an all-time high, infidelity to become rampant, and dating apps worsen this by making it easier for us to leave & move on to the next person after another, just to end up realizing all humans are imperfect and only God is.

Jazakallah Khair Sister, I really wanted to discuss this with my mom, because it was bothering me, I felt like I needed to get married and there is no sign of that happening anytime soon, I have just started my masters, so thankyou very much for addressing this❤

I'm not a Muslim and I have my own reasons not to be one, but your arguments were rational and solid.
Sometimes people should be reminded of common sense.
It's not a groundbreaking knowledge, though people still forget simple stuff.
    Thank you❤
