I was married for the past 4 years and felt on top of the world, I made it the most important part of my identity. Allah has taken it from me and now I’m humbled, single again, and realizing there’s much more to life.

Nuh عليه السلام had a disbelieving wife who was destroyed with people and so did Lut عليه السلام. Everything is rizq. You don't really have control over your life to dictate the best way or most "important" thing to do. What is actually the most important is to worship Allah in whatever situation you are in and with whatever rizq you are given.
Everything she said was facts. But some of us don’t have a warm family 🥺 it’s isolating even during eid everyone gets to be with their family. The older I get the more obsessed I get with it but she is right I should pour all that energy into bettering my relationship with Allah

I've come to the same conclusion. If we are not married, that is our test, just as is everything else in our life. Are we going to be miserable over something we don't have or are we going to focus on and be grateful for what we have? Are we going to be hopeless or are we going to prove our belief in the akhira and our commitment to jannah by being patient and hopeful that in Jannah we are guaranteed a spouse to be with forever with no separation or pain. Are we going to despair for being single or are we going to see that this means we have no distractions? There is nothing to come between us and Allah. That we came into this world by ourself and we will leave this world by our self. That we came from Allah and to him is our return. That, just as you said, all that matters in this life of ours is our relationship with Allah.
Exactly, "people live different lives", everyone is unique, male and female. I'm tired of our brothers and sisters acting as though there's only one way to live (outside of Islam). That one way to live usually being married young. And then the red pillers online acting as though marriage is the end all be all, and is supposed to be one specific, structured, rule-driven way. Like even within marriages, people are gonna be different. Every marriage is unique as well. When we keep daydreaming about marriage, we focus on the opposite gender way more, and loose touch with ourselves and Allah, it's not healthy.
And also at the end of the day these things are rizq they are not under your control for you to impose a specific path in life for everyone and say if not this way then you missed out. Our duty is to worship Allah under any situation with whatever provisions he has given us. If we are blessed with marriage we must worship Allah by giving our spouses their rights. If we have kids we must do likewise. If we are not married, we fear Allah and worship Allah with regards to the many other blessings He has given us. Alhamdullilah.

This is one of those videos I‘ll keep having to come back to to give me that reminder. Unfortunately, I do slip up sometimes and let these couples get to me.😭 I don‘t even have time for thinking about relationships but I feel like it‘s an escape mechanism sometimes. This video sums it up perfectly. Marriage can be very beautiful but it is not the most important thing in life. Working on myself, my goals and my relationship with Allah is already so fulfilling. More people should speak about this topic. It‘s okay to strive for a good marriage but it is not all there is to life.

Apart from that it is always good to reduce time on social media in general and focus more on real life ❤️

I went to an islamic boarding school and the number of couples is insane. One time I studied in an empty classroom and then FOUR couples came, they were sucking up IN FRONT OF ME, I was losing it so bad I had to leave in anger. Unfortunately I am too cowardly to confront or criticize my friends. As much as I try to keep the people I chose as friends as someone who wouldn't influence me to sin, dating is just that normalized to the point it is genuinely rare to have never dated. Everytime someone gets surprised with the fact that I’ve never once dated, my heart breaks lmao the bar is LOW. I hate the haram police and I’m against them but maybe we DO need to shame these people. The least you could do is have some dignity and stop dating in public

Salam sis, this is a really beautiful video and so many things resonated with me, just like many.
However coming to the imam sulaiman "rizq" comment: i think you kinda answered the question yourself.... This generation is SO different 500 years ago let alone 1400 years ago. Social media has made it worse for us and when the rizq lecture came out, it gave a lightbulb moment for many people. No one associates rizq in anything apart from money. Thats just how it is. Just because you had clarity about it much sooner than others, doesnt mean the reminders should stop.
This is not to have a go at you honestly. Its just a small reminder that every single one of us are on different journeys in understanding the deen.

Aswrwb Sister, this is something I’ve been continuously thinking about. I was just crying to my mom about never finding someone. I know I want to marry and have children yet the idea of never attaining that has been on my mind. But living in a world that sits on the extremes with some people saying you should never get married and men are the devil and what not and the other side saying you must be married by this age or your ‘expired’. It’s so heavy thinking about my future and what it’s turning out to be. But my point being is that it’s hard in this day and age to just accept how your life is going and to trust the process that Allah has written out for you. (Sorry long rant).

I think the reason why people were dumb founded at the statement that love is a form of rizq is because we have been conditioned to believe that there is someone for everyone by default, i.e. "and we created you in pairs" as in, it's just Allah's timing, you just have to be patient, your person is out there, just make dua etc etc, whereas what the sheikh said suggests that hey actually no, it's not actually like that, its not that everyone has someone for them, its actually rizq meaning some people will have someone for them and some won't and so that's why everyone was running around like headless chickens lol
