    You are so cute. Glad you got your license. I've heard from my friends in Germany that it is very costly to get a license, so thanks for the details. In the US no school classes are required which could explain why there are so many bad drivers in the US. Many high schools provide driving classes as part of the curriculum. And private lessons are much less expensive than what you paid in Germany. There is a requirement that a learner log 65 hours of actual driving expereince before taking the test, but it is on the honor system, so you write down how many hours you drove. The cost is less than $50US just for the license here in Pennsylvania where I live, but each state is different in the US. My daughter, who lives in B-W, exchanged her Pennsylvania Driver's License for a German one, and she had to give them her old one to get the new one. In the US there are no different classes of licenses, so they gave her the unrestricted German License.

      Oh thank you very much! 😊 That's so interesting, how you do it in the US, thanks for the information! 65 hours sound a lot. I think I drove like 20-30 hours before the exam 😅 glad that she was able to convert it so easily in Germany.

    I love to do practical stuf at plant or company as mechanical engg. I have doubts that i am planning to coming germany for my master in mechanical so which is better ( TU or Applied science UNi.) for after study my job chances are hire like sure? What are the major city that i choose for my master that best for me as mexhanical background? Is job market is good or not for job wise in getmany as a mech.?

    • @Hannah_Ozz
      @Hannah_Ozz 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It depends on what you are looking for. As I went to a TU, I think it is better in terms of research, learning more in depth about certain things and educational offerings. But if you want more time with professors, doing practical things etc applied science uni would be a more suitable option for you. Getting hired is never for sure to be honest but getting a masters degree and learning the language in the country would surely increase your chances ;) Any of the TU9 in Germany would be a good fit but you can also search for specific topics, like industry preferance, offerings in the curriculum, expenses in the city etc but I am obviously biased for TUM :D I'd say so yes, eventhough I am not doing things that are directly related to mechanical engineering any more, there are a lot of job opportunities for engineers in Germany in general. Hope this helps! :)

And this video is like my brain imagination in reality form. Loved this video too much ❤️. I have request can you make videos about how to know which public university would be good to study for computer science in masters with no or low tution fees. Because many people say that in Germany ranking of qs or any index that ranks universities that doesn't matter much so I am confused that how to select universities and how to know that they are even worth it or not. Currently pursuing my bachelor's but I am preparing early so that I can manage everything on time and learning German as well so that at the time I arrive in Germany I have b2 or C1 level German proficiency. I wanna ask it is really possible for someone from South Asian countries India for example to get German citizenship in 3 years or it's a gimmick if we exclude the fact of waiting time. And if yes what a achievement or things we have to do , I am coming here for masters in engineering in public University,c1 level of German proficiency may be c2 after 2-3 years. No criminal record,no social security opted from state all boxes checked.

      The new law will be in effect starting for this year which will make it possible to get the German citizenship within 3 or 5 years depending on the conditions of the applicant. It was 6 or 8 years before that law. People with "besondere Integrationsleistungen" (special integration qualifications) can get it in 3 years. These qualifications would rougly include good language skills, voluntary activities or very good perfomance at school or work. They do not have a specific definition for that.

      very cool! I respect the caffeine quitting and trying new things! I really want to know though because I have attended college here in the states and I know European schools may not be as party heavy as we are. But it’s slightly overblown because a lot of schools aren’t as party heavy or you have to be in a clique. In fact a lot of students end up going to the bars and stuff and that’s the partying not just house, frat or dorm parties. I want to see the difference and commonalities. Also want to live in Germany in coming years so always interested in learning more

      @@Hannah_Ozzaweee! But I want to know I am curious. One reason I want to move to Europe soon is I am big on culture and knowing people and meeting people. My friend group here in the states is like super diverse. Friends with probably people from over 20 countries. Like actually good friends.

      Yes, there is a change in the law, which will be in effect in the next months. I will be possible to get the citizenship in 3 or 5 years depending on your qualification. I can do a detailed video about it in the future ;)

    but then there are a lot of layoffs in the field of CS/IT because of AI. now there is AI that can code. but then when you want that AI to be in form of a robot or in vehicles mechanical engineering comes into play doesnt it? Im in my final year of high school and i plan on taking mechanical engineering mainly because it is the heart of engineering , it is a wide course like i can to mechanical engineering then later do specialization in automobile / robotics / energy industry right? please help me out over here cuz i think there is a scope for this course but please help me out over here

      I don’t think the layoffs are connected to the rise of AI. I think that AI still has a long way to go until it can fully replace a software engineer. It might be helpful for accomplishing simple coding tasks or some small refactoring, but when some complexity is introduced AI might not deliver the best solution, or apply the best practices. About taking Mechanical Engineering, In my humble opinion, it’s more about what you like more and ready to take. If you are really into that stuff it would probably be the right decision. Also it’s one step away from CS and you can always study ML so you won’t be replaceable. Getting different opinions and doing some research will surely help you decide. Good luck.

      I also don't think that the layoffs are connected with the AI. In my opinion, they are mostly related to overhiring due to Covid and not enough expansions in the businesses due to recession. AI can code but it takes an experienced software engineer to get the right prompts, understand the differences in the code and do the necessary debugging. I think that studying a subject is a personal decision you should make based on what you want in your future. If you are interested in machine parts go for it, you would like the studies. I know a lot of friends from mechanical engineering doing similar things to what we have studied and they enjoy their job. I also know a lot of mechanical engineers who work in tech. I am also glad that I studied mechanical engineering because I have an understanding of different engineering subjects in general. I just wouldn't do it again because my work is mostly around software related topics and sometimes I really wish that I focused more on the software side. Even in the automobile / robotics / energy industry, while there are a few people making the actualy hardware design, there are a lot more people working on the software components. At the end of the day, you could do similar things with both studies. It really depends on what you find interesting to begin with. As long as you enjoy what you do and get good at it, you would find great opportunities 😉 I wish you all the best with your decision and good luck! :)
