Gonna check mine out. Thanks for being the first person out here with this content! Had some codes recently on my 23’ AT4 with my infotainment system but it got fixed with a update. The only downside to these new trucks are the flaws they have so early.
Hope it’s not cut ! And yeah that goes for any first year vehicle , the ota update and this was my only problem so far !

On your vid @10:27, I'd suggest bending all of that edge of the heat shield edge back toward the spare so there would not be any sharp edge that could do anymore damage.

I literally got a check engine light this weekend on my 23 at4 and it went away today 😂 crazy seemed like quite a few others got check engine lights this week lol
So iv heard from many people … mine was a actual cut in the harness tho 😭😭😂

I removed the heat shield removed the tire and mounted it in the Bed with an AEV wheel tire mount.
I want a rear tire swing out for the camping table and more room in my bed ! Or els I would do that option !
oh mine is a 2021 zr2 with a lift and diff drop and chevys performance ball spline half shafts

You guys have some great places to go wheeling out there but stay safe. In the Superstition Mountains, the folks would be found w/all their belongings exc their heads, right? Don't go wheelin alone too close to that mountain & try to always have a buddy. Be safe, live.

Fingers crossed for your electric gremlins, I presume you've pushed your fuses in, right? & checked your battery voltage since the codes started popping? Also watch dash gauge voltage as you're riding, I think it oughta be a bit over 14, just watch everything/try to keep it out of the dealer's. Don't even let them do that 1st free oil change. In fact, change it early yourself, I did my 1st at 200 miles & will do the 2nd soon. Get the metal out/protect the investment.
I have a gmc X & it's at about 4000 miles now, 2 months maybe & mine's been fine so far, no codes, nothing glitchin, yet. Mrs & I tow our bicycles w/it, get groceries (lol) so far mostly, a couple dirt roads to cycle the xfer case & lockers. We gen3ers gotta all stick together so keep comin back & thanks again..
The 3rd gen has been awesome to me ! I hope to chat with you on the trail sometime! I believe I fixed it no codes since I removed that heat shield👍 and iv heard some Horror stories about superstitions mountain we always bring a buddy ! Thanks for the comment I appreciate it !

I've been holding off aiming to break the thing in first & oc now we got winter so I might not really have a bunch of fun like you guys till spring24. Sometimes if your gas cap doesn’t seal after you fill up, it could cause a check engine light. So just push it in and let it reseal.
This was for a cut harness from my abs in the rear 😬
What exhaust setup does your buddy run? It sounds better than anything else I’ve heard so far
He talks about it in the vid, I believe it’s just a muffler delete and high flow resonator !
I don't know for sure but I think GM already released a bulletin about this issue. Fix was to reposition the wire loom with zip ties I think.

I have a 33 inch spare under mine but I actually moved my heat shield so now I will go check it just in case . oh I got a new computer and it had me showing as some dam number thing so when I realized it I went to try to get my old name and said some 1 else had it LOL well I had it dam it but it wont let me move it from bing to chrome so I had to add numbers to my name I aint good at this computer crap.I always look forward to you videos

My check engine light has been turning on and off over the last few weeks after a trip to black rock but I checked the heat shield and there’s about 3 inches between it and the wiring yours was rubbing against. I’m going to try on star next and see what they say.

I don’t wheel mine, and I got an engine code once over a month ago. Disconnected the negative terminal for a couple minutes, and reconnected it and the engine code hasn’t come back since. Might just be a glitch. But if you do the battery reset and it comes back then you for sure have a legit code.
Oh yeah iv heard these things befor iv never had a issues I figured out what was wrong at the end of the video it wasn’t a software issue sadly :/ buttttt we got it taken care of !
Doesn't take much to short a wire. Cat skin or spiral wrap will give a little more protection. With that G80 rear you do not want that spare on the rear axle or you will grenade it

I have a 2023 Colorado ZR2 Desert Boss. I got the same error code at 400 miles on the odometer. They have been trouble shooting it for 3 weeks now. I am supposedly getting it back this week.
I said fuck no to 3 weeks Lmao I hope they sorted you out all good ! Was it traction control, abs, cel and , collision assist lights ?

I’m having a problem with my fuel door opening, I push at the bottom and it won’t open, I had to take my glasses off and use one of the arms and my shirt to not scratch my paint and pry it open ,,have you had this problem!

Trail boss definitely has a more plush ride than the z71 and wider track on the trailboss helps a lot ! I’m just waiting on aftermarket suspension!
Thanks that was my test drive impression too. Might have to look at. Canyon at4 . Like the ride on the trail boss, but like the extra features of the z71.

Heard about this from others too...First mod for me is taking that tire and shield off LOL. Spare can stay in the garage if and when I ever need it.

my Colorado zr2 is the desert sand and barely shows dirt you have to go threw some black nasty stuff to show
