Looks pretty similar to the previous generation to me. Maybe I need to see it person but my initial reaction is more ultra conservative, more of the status quote Honda.
I am leaning towards the new Kia Sportage instead. More cutting edge, aggressive design inside and our and more HP and space. Honda may have their traditional reputation but I think they are playing it too safe and falling behind.

Being a Honda CR-V owner, I expected major changes in 2023 redesigned model but it’s disappointing.
    - no Panoramic sunroof.
    - Infotainment system is small.
    - Expected heated seats at the back (Nissan rogue, has).
    - no auto-dimming side mirrors (which helps a lot for drivers during the night’s).
    - no digital middle mirror (Rav 4 has)
    - NO Heads on Display.

Honda has produced some of the best sports/sporty cars and bikes ever made (NSX, S2000, ITR, NR750, etc.). And it has won the most racing accolades and awards of all automakers (in F1, F2, F3, IndyCar, CART, MotoGP, autocross, SuperSports Motorcycles, Motocross, Super Rally, etc.). It is the most successful in motorsports in the history of all automakers (not Porsche nor Ferrari). It has dominated in the super bikes racing for decades (easily dominating Ducati and all other bike makers). It is the only one to make airplanes, and the Hondajet is the best-in-class. It is the most prolific engine maker in the world. And you're not a fan? 🤣
Compared to Honda's motorsports history, most automakers look like newbs (which include Toyota, BMW, Mercedes, GM, Ford, and most other Japanese, American, and European automakers). They all look like newbs compared to the history of Honda's motorsports. 😏

I've owned Hondas all my life but finally switched to the Toyota RAV4 Prime. This is the best car I've ever owned. It has 302hp, instant torque in EV mode, 42 miles rated EV range (I currently get 56 miles) and 600 miles per tank. I drive in EV mode 90% of the time and don't even like using the ICE in hybrid mode. Honda needs to make a PHEV version of the CRV.

Its a dust and finger print magnet plus you can't really just feel around and know where your at until you look down because of the capacitive touch buttons that everyone seems to think are a good idea. The hybrid drive system also has 226 hp and 258 for torque. All for 34k... We bought a new 5th generation 2017 CRV in December 2016 and it's been a great car. Still love the 2017, but might be enticed to upgrade to a hybrid based on what we've seen here. Can't wait to see how the 6th generation stacks up to the 2017. Had a 2006 Pilot and a 2010 Acord Coupe as well as a 1986 Acura Legend (first year of production) so definitely hooked on Honda's quality and performance. Thanks for a great review!
