You really have to have a lot of patience, space, like challenges & experimenting, be dedicated & be able to cope well with disappointment, keep good records, be consistantly motivated & persistant. It ain't easy that's for sure but it's doable!

So the parrot fish have at least 3 different blood lines in right? So that means red texas could go 4 ways ? Or 5 if the parrot has 4 ? So most have a double dose of 1 fish at least ? Which means the majority will come out with the double dose of Gene's and a few will get a good mixture of all the fish together which is what u want but not knowing what your parrot holds u have no idea what u will get so red texas have at least 25% madas hence the fading ?

And no one uses blood parrots they are used to test fertility in male rt we use Kkp or mammon for breeding to a carpintis for best results .and within a two years you will have some fish to work with

Your right that carpintas and Mammon or KKP are often used. And that it takes a LONG TIME.
But your very wrong that "no one used BP", and they are "only used for testing".
Thank you for sharing your experience, we do appreciate it. But please keep in mind, im just sharing the facts that are spread across MANY breeders, not just your experiences.

“Throw them down the toilet”?? That’s harsh and really inhumane. How about you feed them to larger fish or humanly destroy them?

Your FishKeeper Friend i d been watching your videos. You give good information. I’ve been a hobbyist since I was 12. I’m now 42. So I’ve been doing this for a long time. I’ve had many spawns and the ugly fry always get fed to others or humanely destroyed. Never flushed down the toilet.

Your FishKeeper Friend also if you live in an area that remains warm all year round, if you flush fry down the toilet you could possibly be introducing invasives.

+GianniAzul3609 it was more a figure of speech brother, not an instruction book as to how one should dispose of fry. Personally I have a large bass tank with 18" bass that will do just fine. - Dan

Your FishKeeper Friend sorry. I took your comment too literally then. My bad.
