I just snatched the deal of a life time for one of these. Usually they go for like $200-400 and I got mine from a novice fish seller for $15. I basically robbed him. I was so happy when he actually agreed to sell it dirt cheap to me

I tired to mate a Green Texas(female) w/Red Texas(male). Slow death to the Red Texas, The Green Texas puck All the scales off Red... had to separate. Will try again, in 6months

I bought a cheap red texan im in australia.its a mix red devil x green texan.am raising in colour pigment australian freeze dried blood worm fingers crossed.was wondering how long till it peels.is prob 6 months old.my huge Oscars dont even mess with it.so is in 6 foot tank eats heaps.good work man and thanks for info ur a pioneer in RT.respect too u.
Great video,i recently started following your group on FB,i wanted to try to start breeding for Red Texas,first do u think breeding a Carpentis X Green Texas would be a good starting point for getting a male to start the breeding process?I heard that a “Thai Green Texas” might be a cross of both?Also is there a particular line of Green Texas male that u should start with?Like a F1 from a certain region?Also for the female blood parrot,should it be any blood parrot or a more orange/red one?

Hey bro, yeah most will be infertile. There is small percent chance to have fertile but its low.
@@yourfishkeeperfriend8884 so basically parrots are useless as their offsprings can’t reproduce right..? Why do people still cross with parrots as there is no meaning to spend time breeding it..?& how did parrot end up with the infertile gene..?
My male texas is with my parrot now:) i already had a parrot x convict :) also made beautiful fish:)
Breed the parrott convict hybrids with your texas then back to a blood parrott then you could keep breeding it against the texas. Get an amazing fish.

Interesting. Got one for 18.00. Someone traded it in. Local store didn't know what it was. I guess the top size will vary. I think it is a female? No hump; and about 8 inches. Nice looking fish to me, anyway. Hopeing she will make a good wet pet.

They are both faders yes. They are different genetic make up. GB are flowehorn. Red texas are not

My male texas and female midas had babies and only one of them has faded so far. Hes about 2 inches Pretty sure hes a male. I have 5 of them tho
