i'd love to breed the amazing looking hybrids but i can recognise that is probably beyond my scope. the amount of growing out and culling would probably wear me out to be honest.
however, i think one day i might get into breeding some straight up, naturally occurring species. something like cubans or carpintis would really appeal to me. less variation in the fry and less culling but also still the opportunity to selectively breed for my own personal preferred traits.

I have a female blood parrot that layed eggs recently with a male bp, but i know he's sterile, the eggs are infertile. I was wondering what I could get to breed with her that would produce good quality fish but without having to go through 3 generations to get. I was considering a green texas but as you explained, most of the fry turn out like trash

U fucking idiot...what can u breed it with? A fucking sevrum with another sevrum thats all dumb ass ..u can breed it with a shark but they won't hatch. Sevrum isnt even central American. How many sevrum hybrid do u see goofy fuck?

What's d difference between a red texas and a pearly red albino flowerhorn? They look pretty similar and have similar external traits
+Savio Rods They are totally different fish Both flowerhorn and red texas are made up of different combinations of fish. The traits do look similar T first glance but actually very different. I plan to make a video on it at some point

Had more than my share of terrible looking hybrids. I recently got a pearly thai King Kamfa, would I be better off breeding it with another King Kamfa if I decide to or have you had interesting luck with using another kind like Silk or fader?

I sell my mutts as unknown cichlid hybrid they make good feeders
the easiest fish to cross looking good are fish that are very similar. still lots of ugly fry but better odds

+jgottinc That depends. If you have a pair that produces a large amount of wuality fry then yoh can make more grooming and selling. If your just croasing too fish fish and sell the fry for $5-25 each depending on what they are you can make way more. selling 100 fry that for $20 each that you couldnt get $5 for when people see how they turn out is much in your favor.
People do the latter of the two often and I think its shady.
