So, when i tried giving away my mbuna hybrids to local fish stores (some with incredibly beautiful colors), i was told by several people that hybrids were too hard to sell and that most people wanted F1 pure strains and not hybrids. One person even told me I was ruining the hobby. I finally was able to give them away, and so glad they all got new homes. I am keeping South American cichlids right now, but my next African cichlid tanks will be single species only with a high male to female population so that 1, I don’t have an all male tank anymore, 2 I will be able to easily give or sell pure strains of species easier. I’m definitely done with the all male haps/ peacocks tank for sure. I still love mbuna though...

There are hybrid fish all over. People who say its ruining the hobby dont have a clue how much hybridizing happens.

@@inventoryking ESPECIALLY in nature. North American Sunfish are a great example. Warmouths, rock bass, green sunfish and blue gill regularly cross. Many have caught and handled hybrids and don't even know. In sunfish many take on the behavior of one parentage over the other.

@Devon are You shore about that? I thought it could maybe be flowerhorn because of the pattern. Have not seen any parrot with all those spots. In my own opinion i realy do not like hybrids and I think all fish should be kept one male and at least one female. I also think that You need to have a lot of caves and hidingplaces when serveral males are kept together. But it's only my opinion, everyone can have their own.
Any way thank You for Your answer, it's nice to have people to exchange thoughs with.

@@hansandersson1155 yes. It can also be done with red mammon’s and people make other hybrids with flower horns as well, but “normal” red Texas is made with blood parrot.
