A definite YES and I think that Royal Enfield have managed to create bikes that really have brought together the biking community, more than any other manufacturer, it’s the Enfield magic 😂 all the best Ian 👍

    Good morning Ian,
yes, it's good for mental health, of course. I have made the same experimente when I startet to bike again after pausing for 43 years! 2013 I lost my best friend to cancer, became solo again and lost my beloved dog after 19 (!) years.....
I decided to hop on a bike again to get rid of the negative spirit of that year and it worked. Next week I collect my RE Classic 350 gun metal grey from the dealership and with all of your positive input, your inspirational thoughts regarding this particular nice bike I am looking forward to even more fun and happyness 😊
Please try to continue your channel, show a bit more of the beautiful landscape you are living at and be assured there is a crowd out there waiting for your quiet, symphatical content of something we all do like very much: RIDING A NICE BIKE 🏍 and meet nice people on the streets 🍀

Starting at age 24- I've never been without a moto. Currently 70 1\2. Logging just shy of 400K and now enjoying slow and faster riding. Being blessed with an ex- wife, this would never have happened without her. LOL. The sights and memories will never fade. Your channel always brings me closer to friendship and commeradeity of the like minded community. 👍👍and God Bless. 5🏍🙋‍♂️

I'm now 64 and been riding since the early 1970s...and in my teens and twenties and a great circle of biking mates..but as time goes on you loose touch...I live 200 miles away from my home town now ..but in 2016 at yet another funeral we all decided to catch up on our bikes at least once a year..so they all come down and meet half way for a night of beers/whisky and a great catch up..the numbers get less but the inthusiasm..holds on...just got my classic 350..and love every mile..Good health and safe riding all..ps keep up the great vids ian

    Well said Ian. True gentleman.
I 2nd that the bike ids good for your health. I got Long term Crohn’s/arthritis.
Then took the bloody vaccine and severed severe pancreatitis, on a ventilator and place into a coma, that was 3 very long months in the hospital.
Long recovery time, left we very weak on my insides. Lost both parents😢.
But, getting the Royal Enfield was the best thing I have ever done. Ok, for few rides shook my insides to peices…..lol
Stretching ma wee leggies don’t help. Every tea Shop up Deeside someone stopped to chat.
Then going to Arbroath/ Fraserburgh etc, meeting fellow RE owners has been a joy. TH-camrs and group members have been so supportive and helpful.
So am looking forward to warmer runs out, with a huge smile, and meeting new found friends.
    Am defo no mechanic/fettler. Lol😊
Best wishes to you all. X

I've watched all your Royal Enfield related videos and feel, out of courtesy, after viewing this one, that now is a good time to give you the credit you deserve and thank you for your efforts. I love the pace and tone of your delivery, the subjects you cover and the way you make it feel like a one-to-one conversation. Travel-wise your Wild Atlantic Way trip meant a lot to me, especially around the Doolough area in Connemara. It is a very spiritual and historical place and brought back memories of being there in my teens in the 70s on my beloved Honda 175cc, a picture of which appears here too. I go back there every few years and find the same peace I did on my first visit. Please make sure you get to see it on a sunshine filled day, it will blow your mind. I am now only months away from my 70th birthday and have just completed the first 500 km on my month-old RE Bullet Classic 350. I'm looking forward to a few more years of riding accompanied by your very enjoyable videos. Take care and ride safe.

      Hi John
It’s great to hear that you’re enjoying my Classic 350 videos and hopefully they’re inspiring you to enjoy your Bulletin to the full.
In the very early 70’s my first ever new bike was a Honda CD175, absolutely loved that bike and traveled all over Scotland on it. I’m 70 now, but the wee Enfield takes me back to those early days exploring on the Honda. I never thought when I purchased this bike, that it would bring me so much joy, especially as it’s the slowest, simplest and cheapest of my three bikes. It’s also the one that’s responsible for the growth of this TH-cam channel, and all the fabulous feedback that I’ve received from so many viewers such as yourself.
Thank you for telling me your story, hopefully one day I’ll be back in Connemara on a sunny day and take in its full beauty.
Enjoy your Bullet and the many adventures you’ll have together.
      Cheers T.N.

Started in 1973 at 16. Got my car licence in 1975 and continued with all sortsof cars until 2006. As you say once biking is in your blood it never leaves you. Have been riding constantly since 06 and at 66 years of age that passion hasn't weakened. I have bought 7 new Royal Enfields in the last 4 years and currently have a Classic 350 in Halcyon Black and a Meteor 350 Supernova which I'm changing on March 1st for the new 350 Meteor Aurora. Biking is definitely good for your mental health, not only the camaraderie but the many friendships I've made particularly since the Covid lockdowns and Royal Enfield ownership. There is such a passion for these bikes. Even if I feel down I always go for a ride on one of the bikes and my Spirit is immediately lifted. My Car sits outside for the majority of the time as I much prefer the freedom of the bike and ride all year round. Great video by the way and a reminder to us all why we love our machines and the lifestyle that comes with it. The beauty of our Enfields is that they are so simple and prove that you don't need huge amounts of cash, speed or technology to enjoy yourself. For me the pure essence of motorcycling is fun on an Enfield 350. Look forward to your next Vlog, I enjoy them.🙂👍

I had a bit of a challenging 2023 and have struggled with a lot of things before that as well. I pick my Classic 350 up in March after coming to the conclusion that I need a therapy bike, not only for the riding but also because of the camaradarie amongst bikers. I've had a break of 9 years from bikes but the 350 speaks to something inside me that more modern styled and powered bikes don't, a throwback to simpler times when its not all about dressing as a power ranger and showing off about stats in the pub.

Afternoon Ian. Thanks for the mention. As you say, the “small” TH-cam community is brilliant. Always supportive, and uplifting. All brought about by our love of the Royal Enfield brand, especially the Classic 350 in our case. Like you, after 45+ years of motorcycling, and having owned over 45 bikes of all capacities, I never dreamed I would own a Royal Enfield. I had a Yamaha Tracer 900 in 2019, a fantastic bike, but it was soulless. I went in search of something else, and discovered the Interceptor 650, then I bought my Classic 350 as a winter bike, and found myself riding her more than the Interceptor, so sold that after 3 glorious years. Now, I just have the 350. A brilliant do it all bike, which is a real conversation starter wherever we stop. Even by people who aren’t into motorcycles. Thanks for your videos (which have a detrimental effect on my bank balance 😊), your advice and clear instructions are really helpful.

Hi Ian I'm sixty nine and have been riding motorcycles since I was seventeen, and don't know how I would adjust to life without a motorcycle , my wife and I met through motorcycles and she now has her own.
There's nothing better than to escape to the countryside to clear your head of the problems of today's world , and even more so on my Classic 350! Enfield have built some magic into this bike that plugs your mind into another place it's weird how it does it!
My wife loves it but on passing her test she's off to the dealers for a Hunter 350 as she prefers the more modern look .
Your channel along with the other Enfield vloggers provides great relaxing viewing, particularly when the weather is too miserable to enjoy a ride out, keep up your good work!

Hello Ian. I enjoy your channel particularly the 'how to' videos, as its always good to see before attempting! I started riding at 16 in 1976, a Honda SS50, I can still remember the reg number OOW 650 M. Lots of bikes over the years, including old British. A James 125, Bantams and a C15. I never had the workshop space or skills really, which is why I think I love the Classic 350 so much. Its the best of both worlds, modern, reliable yet still like a classic. Sorry I forgot my main comment after rambling! I agree with you about being good for you. I was sat in a hospital bed after a heart attack about 5 years ago. After selling my last bike a few years before I knew that you have to do the things you like while you can and two months later I had another bike! These days a potter around the New Forest on a sunny morning brings back all the fun of being young, and carefree! All the best, Steve

What I really love about these wee bikes is how it takes me back over 50 years to the kind of motorcycling I enjoyed in my youth. Pottering around the country lanes is pure bliss. But the wee bike can go much further, the longest run I had on it was 350 miles in one day. It was also one of the best ever days I’ve had on bikes.
Keep riding and enjoying your bike, a combination that will make you happy and healthy 👍

All of the British motorcycles l bought for $500 people laughed at me for buying now they are worth 7 X what I paid for them. I got each of them just because I liked them. I loved riding to work and pleasure riding on the weekends. I ride all the time as l am retired. Best pleasure l have.

I so wish that I’d held onto some of my bikes from the 70’s, they would be very valuable today. Hope you enjoyed the video 👍

I have problems with my health, 10 years ago I often rode a Harley Davidson motorbike, now I am 53 years old and a Harley feels heavy for me. Today I bought a Royal Enfield Classic 350, I hope my health can recover and be better by returning to riding a motorbike. I like it when your channel talks about riding a motorbike which is linked to health, especially mental health. Sorry if you don't mind, I want to ask how old are you now? Honestly, I'm more excited about watching this content. Thank you for helping cheer me up, have fun, enjoy life. 😃👍🙏❤🎉

It’s great to hear that you’re enjoying watching my videos, and especially, that I’m in a small way, helping you to get through a difficult time.
I’m 70 years old, and at various times in my life returning to bike riding has definitely been the best form of mental health therapy for me.
Enjoy your your Royal Enfield Classic 350, it’s a great bike. I had a Harley Davidson 20 years ago and I can honestly say that my little Classic 350 has given me 100 times more enjoyment than the Harley ever did.

I really enjoyed this video. I've been subscribed to your channel for a few months now. You have inspired me to resume motorcycling after nearly 50 years away from it. I took my first skills class (MSF Basic Skills) in January, renewed my California Class M1 motorcycle license a few weeks ago. Prior to that I completed Yamaha Champions School Champions Habits: The Core Corriculum along with their traffic skills online classes. I am planning to pick up my RE Classic 350 by the end of this month and begin to develop the riding skills that I never had when I owned my 3 previous motorcycles. By the way, I live in the central coast of California where I can basically ride year round. I'm looking forward to many more classes and skills training as well as making most of the modifications to my bike that you have done to date after the break-in period.

Like you, the first bike I rode on the road was a "C" reg Honda 50 (C100 model). It belonged to my mother. I had already been riding it around the garden for several years, before taking it on the road on my 16th birthday. Just a few weeks later I did 156 miles in a day, on 2 half gallons of petrol. 156 mpg. My all time record economy. I shall be 69 next week. Still enjoying my biking, now in the biker's paradise of the Costa Del Sol. Got a trip planned to Morocco in April with a few friends.
Is biking good for you? Of course it is. However, only if you keep it rubber side down.

Occasionally he would let me ride his C100, I just loved it. That was me hooked for a lifetime love of bikes, no regrets 👍

Hi Ian, I am just back from my 1st session of motorcycling therapy for 2024... A 2 hour test ride on the RE HUNTER 350. WOW, what a great bike.... and now I am sitting😢 here wishing I hadn't.
I have an immaculate low mileage 2010 Bonneville SE that I have just finished getting it just how I want it... my problem is I can only afford to run one bike. I feel
like I have started a love affair with the little RE Hunter... Seeing you and so many experience riders enjoying smaller cc bikes. Do I go for it and get a divorce ... or stay loyal to my Bonneville. I am sure that so many fellow bikers have faced this dilemma. At 63, I thought I would end my days riding the Bonneville through the pearly gates. Have you ridden the Hunter? If you have not, I highly recommend you do, and I would love to hear your opinion. I feel it's criminal to leave bikes unused a locked away for years.. seeing you enjoying your 350 RE classIc. If you could keep just one of your bikes, which one would it be. This is when motorcycling can be bad for your health ... lol 🤣

    • @tigerness5555
      @tigerness5555  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi FWM
I fully understand where you’re coming from, I’ve had similar dilemmas.
I love all my bikes for different reasons, but if I had to have only one.
The first to go would be the Tiger, it’s fast, comfortable, loaded with Tech and a brilliant touring bike. But as I get older (now 70) it’s a heavy big bike.)
The next part is very difficult.
I also have a beautiful, mint condition 2010 Bonneville SE as well as the Classic 350.
As much as I love the 350, I’ve always thought that I wouldn’t enjoy it as much if it was my only bike. I still love having the effortless power of the Bonneville, it’s a great bike to ride. So I recon the Classic 350 would have to go.
But, I really like the look of the new Himalayan. I’m sure Royal Enfield will bring out other models using that platform and engine so a more middle weight bike with decent power could potentially be very tempting.
As for your age your still young at 63, I’m just over 70 now 🤣
The last and only owner of my Bonneville sold it at 86 as it was getting too heavy for him, but he was still looking for a smaller lighter bike 🤣
I recon you might regret selling the Bonneville if it’s in such good condition and after you’ve put so much love into it.
I don’t go for test rides, just in case I’m tempted 🤣
