Bikes and Quads used to be allowed on the beach, banned as the few, with no restraint, ruined it for everyone else. Wonderful camera work by Monica, such a beautiful part of the world that I made many memories from when I was younger.

I like your choice of music - every piece is just right for the accompanying visual. As someone who will be returning to biking shortly, after an extended break, your two-wheeled adventures are filling me with ideas for where to go when I finally get out again. I’m going to buy a 350 Royal Enfield, but it’ll probably be a Bullet, rather than a Classic. What I WILL have to do though is subscribe to the channel and watch more later - otherwise my Saturday morning will vanish and I will have accomplished none of the things I need to do!

A bit late to the party but I loved this one. This is my home. The opening shot was just up the road from Bennar Beach, Black Rock Sands is an institution for young drivers to spend their evenings driving. And then going to T H Roberts coffee shop and eating Meg’s cake and talking to Sam (Meg’s grandson) about his bike. Love it.
By the way, go to Black Rock out of season and there’s nobody manning the booth to tell you that you can’t ride your bike 😜

Ahh what memories. Used to spend all our holidays in at Green Acres Caravan site at Black Rock Sands, Morfa Bychan, back in the 70’s. Love North Wales. That was Criccieth Castle you saw in the background on the beach. You should have gone there (if time permitted). As a holiday treat we would go there for fish and chips and home made Cadwaladers ice cream! Not sure if they’re still there? First drove my parents car on that beach - an old Triumph Herald... well steered it sitting on my dad’s lap, as I couldn’t reach the pedals. Thanks for bringing back those joyous times Freddie and Monika.

For the final Welsh video that I filmed yesterday, I did a 450+ mile day. The Enfield did it with ease, and I was comfortable all day. Monika says it’s the second most comfortable bike she’s ever been on (just behind my Bonneville with the King and Queen seat).

Freddie, you inspired me to do my first ever (I’m 63) ‘mini’ (1 day) bike ‘tour’ around Snowdonia today, on my Triumph Speedmaster 1200 (2018). I loved every minute. Sitting ‘on’ a bike offers much better views than ‘in’ a car. I even liked the average speed cameras as they meant I was much less likely to get blasted by a ‘crotch rocket’. Keep up the good work as you are making people’s lives better, not ‘just’ making (excellently crafted) videos.

Fuck the schools and Hospitals they dont need the cash but we do to pay our wages its a total joke it honestly is.. As a Welshman all I can say is sorry !!!!!!!!!but please come back because we need every one of you and we are not all ass holes as a lot of folk think we are just like you trying to survive with Morons at the helm !!!!!!!!!!!Rant Over !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry it is not their reasoning is safety and saving lives what a load of bollocks that is how many deaths in 2022 and 2023 in 30 zones ?????NIL !!!!!!!!!!! I moved from southern england to north wales 20 years ago for all the reasons you mention. In good weather the ducati comes out, bad weather the himalayan hits the green lanes. Hiking good also. Honestly believe i am in biking nirvana. Still within good proximity of civilisation and manchester airport. My brother recently moved from Denver Colorado to Harlech as fell in love with the coastline and mountains and has just planted out a vineyard looking out to sea. If you are back in wales in 4 years time ill arrange a private tour. Perfect climate for grapes apparently. Cali moto app helps keep you away from busy roads and average speed camera zones. My business has offices in conwy, liverpool and chester but conwy has the nicest people / clients. Never had an issue with the welsh, most genuine lovely people. Blackrock sands , our favorite beach, we're there in two weeks for a long weekend for our wedding anniversary, and going on our bikes, love the place, must say it hasn't always been like that you used to be able to ride on the beach, we've been going there for over thirty years, if you go in the winter months it's quiet and you can ride on the beach.
You could be cheeky and go back in the evening when he's gone but ride respectfully, as no doubt you would! 😉

That train is on the Cambrian Coast line, probably the most scenic in Britain. It will have started its journey at Pwllheli on the Lleyn Peninsula, and travelled along the coast via Porthmadog. It will then go on down the coast through Barmouth to Machynlleth where it turns inland on the Mid Wales line to Shrewsbury, terminating at Birmingham New St. I have travelled on it many times and it never fails to thrill with such magnificent scenery.

Freddie, your only scratching the surface of wales, you really need to visit Tenby and more of West Wales coast, you'll be gobsmacked as well as the massive reservoirs we have such as Elan Valley. These are two places you must visit. I'd be happy to guide you around Elan valley and the Pembrokeshire coasts.

Black Rock Sands. The castle you pointed out is Cricketh Castle, and about 30 mins away from there is the cottage I used to stay at with about 10 friends I associated with at our now defunct local rock bar in Chesterfield. Sorely miss those days and it's nice to see the area again, even if only in via video 🙂

Oh, if you want to see more of Wales I can recommend Betws y coed and Beddgelert for a nice little sightseeing visit. Further afield, there's Beumarris Castle on Anglesey and the old Jail next to it. Let us all know how you get on 😊

Amazing. I love the stone house. I saw a chimney and what looked like a fireplace. Would that be common in an animal shelter. Or maybe it was a little bit of both. Those riding lanes and beaches are incredible.

Love the channel mate always worth a viewing great little trip.
    West coast is great .
    Most telling thing ?
When you looked outside the cafe and couldn't say what the other bike was.
Enfields? As obvious and unique as Harleys.
    But with bigger sales.
Off myself tomorrow for a short 3 day trip to test my load out and new tent before next years long tour.......on?
Yup a 350 classic Red and Chrome .
"But you can't tour on small bikes they are too slow"
Shout the big bore bike riders.
Yea . sure what ever you say. Bye.
    Always makes me laugh .
    Happy riding

Fantastic video Freddie & Monika - you mention the Elan Valley (ee-lan) a favourite spot of mine where my great-nan grew up. Wales is fantastic for riding, and Elan is certainly my favourite place for it. The road from Aberystwyth to Elan via Devil's bridge is definitely worth checking out, and if you're ever out that way, the Irfon valley and devil's staircase is a beautiful ride.

The Welsh pronunciation of Elan is as Freddie said it.

I would say Monica is partially right, What the building is is an old small holding, probably around 400 years old, many were too small to be viable after world war one, and became storage sheds for bigger farms in the area. If you noticed the fire place was in the gable end wall when you looked through the window.

You really reached the point I think, where there's no need to have a huge horse bike but just 20 cv and enjoy what comes. Thanks for doing this, it really entertains me a lot. And I wish RE will sponsor you cause you brought to me this bike and I fell in love with it. Bye! 👍🏼
