    Any advice for those of us that aren't so good at woodwork etc for finding suitable weighted bo/tanbo?

      For bo, just find a length of iron or steel at a hardware or auto supply. Tanbo hojo undo can also be performed with a good heavy pair of sai or youth baseball bats.

      @@HiddenTeachings Ooh thanks for the info. Luckily I have Sai, just never used them as a stand in for Tanbo

      I do my tanbo kata with the heavy tanbo. You just can't do the switching from end to end
