Just subscribed matey. Ya vids are class mara. Me and our lass laid in bed watching them and we loving them. Well done and keep the content coming buddy. 👍😁👌👏🤗😋
Thanks very much, I’m glad you’re enjoying them. I really enjoy making them. Spring is coming! I can’t wait for the weather to settle so I can get out a bit more often!
Well lad just joined and love the fishing 👌, could you possibly so a video on your kayak set up, equipment & lures you use? Mad to jet out for Pollock myself now but want to see what other people are using 👍
Thanks Tom, I occasionally take one for the plate if it’s deep hooked but hardly ever if I’m honest. I fish that often it would be all I ate! I like releasing them to get bigger 👍
Class video, as always. I fish up there regular on the boat and never catch as many fish as that. Don't know if it's the noise off the engine or what but you definitely get more in the yak. Where do you get your black minnows from? I'm looking online for different colours but can't find any.
Hi William, glad you enjoyed it! I get mine mainly from eBay, most of the shops that have them in stock have them on eBay as well anyway. I think braid makes a big difference and keeping the lure in the bottom 2 metres of water, for the cod and wrasse anyway.
Chris what spinning rod and weight class is that... Was out at Newbiggin on the weekend and jigging with a boat rod is a kill for a 7 hour session.. Cheers mate 👍
Hi John, all of the lures in this vid are 25g Finish Black Minnows in various colours, I particularly like the pink and the blue glow, though I think that's just a confidence thing!
@@onthedropfishing Thank you, once I can get back to Whitby I will try them there for the cod coalfish and pollack - have to say my confidence colour is orange !
@@onthedropfishing thank you mate any idea when can i try and fish with lures? Is it better to wait till summer or can i try it during the winter and where about in Newcastle is the best place to try it?
@@TopLadgames You need to find deep water really from the shore so rock edges. Further north towards Craster way maybe. You could pick. bass up from the beaches around cambois or possibly Whitley Bay. 👍 you’ll have more success from the shore in the summer though.
Cracking video again, you should do a video on your setup..... For my benefit in the spring when my yak will be on the water
Thank you, it’s definitely on my to do list!

Hi mate, it’s an 8-12lb (6ft) rovex integra gold with a 3000 size reel and 14lb braid 👍

@@joncampbell3641 Let me know how you get on Jon 👍
Hi mate, what was that spikey fish approximately 12 mins into the vid please?
Hi Alex, It's a scorpion fish known locally as a "granny fish" sharp spines but otherwise harmless.👍
@@onthedropfishing Thank you.
@@onthedropfishing So there the same fish that you see in rock pools - that was probably a record breaking fish then haha
What kayak are you using, thinking about getting one.
I'm using a Galaxy Sturgeon, I really like it, not too expensive either you get a lot of bang for your buck!
can i request the video evidence please :) another great vid.
Ha ha yes of course!
@@onthedropfishing same for me if possible chearssss 👍
Can you shore fish with them lures? Basically sick of paying for baits and cough nothing with it. Would enjoy lire fishing more fun
You can yes, I’ve had cod, pollock, coley, mackerel, wrasse etc. Very popular with bass anglers as well.
