    I fish just down the coast around Bridlington and flamborough head.
    I have a boat however loads of lads use kayaks around here.
    Target species, cod pollock, wrasse, bass and tope, yakkers go after the above too.

It’s just bolted to the bottom of the box and fits into the normal railblaza port on the side rail. I got about ten of them for a few quid. @onthedropfishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi mate, it’s basically an adapted water snake t24 salt so a well established motor. It’s been enough for me. I’ve been using it since September last year and it’s been great. It fits perfectly in the pedal drive. You won’t be bombing along but it’s just as fast as the 54lb on the supernova in my opinion. Hope that helps 👍🎣

    Could you recommended a rod holder and what reel your using. I started fishing on my kayak last summer and have caught some big pollock, my first and only wrasse, some souyan.it’s really annoying having to hold my rod in between my legs and it affects me rowing.

      Hi mate, what fittings do you have on there? Any railblaza ports or scotty mounts?

      @seumasmcguire9974 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@onthedropfishingMy kayak doesn’t have either of those, it only has a bit of rope tied to the bow. Are they stuff I would need to have.

    • @onthedropfishing
      @onthedropfishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah you’d need something to hold the rod holder if that makes sense. Look up “how to fit a railblaza star port to a kayak” here on TH-cam there’ll be loads of vids. However an alternative is, if you have a box or a crate strapped to your kayak you keep your gear in you can attach a rod holder to that. You can make one yourself out of drainpipe in that instance. Hope that helps 👍

      Probably start getting them end of May beginning of June on the kayak and they should be here in full strength by about end of that month 👍🎣

    Great video as per usual Chris, cheers. Really enjoy them so I've treated myself to a kayak to get out myself, can't resist any longer. Could I ask what dry suit you have? That and a fish finder is all I now need. Cheers mate, appreciate all the info you put out on here 😊

    Cracking vid Chris, can't beat a Sunday roast and "On the Drop" to finish off the weekend. Have you ever fished out from Boulmer beach? I was thinking of taking my first steps into kayak fishing from there but no idea if there's much action or not. Tight lines mate!

      Cheers Ryan I’m glad you enjoyed it mate. I haven’t fished from there and I don’t know anyone who has. A quick look on Navionics shows me that there’s some rough ground a few k north but that’s a bit much for your first trip maybe? Beadnell or Craster might be a better bet 👍🎣

    Hey Chris, how far do you go out and what depth normally?

    • @onthedropfishing
      @onthedropfishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on the venue really. At Beadnell I might be a mile and a half out in 20 metres of water, at St abbs I’ll be 50 metres out in 30 metres of water, over at port Logan I might be 20 metres of the cliffs in 10 metres or so. It really is different for each venue to be honest. It just depends where the good ground is. Hope that helps 👍🎣

    hi pal can i pick your brain again, i am looking a drysuit, i have ordered a few on line but i cant seem to get the right fit, i don't want to say where i ordered them from as might cause trouble, but paying £450 then being told to just cut the neck with scissors just didn't seem right, could you point me in right direction, david

    • @onthedropfishing
      @onthedropfishing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi David, I got my last two dry suits second hand so I don’t really have a recommendation for you. It’s not unusual for the neck to be too tight when new though. Some people stick a rugby ball in there overnight for a few days to ease it off a bit. If you look at the neck of some dry suits they have lines in them for cutting, though like you, I’m not sure I’d fancy that job myself. Hope that helps 👍🎣
