Really Looking forward to this playthrough, it really helps me understand the concepts of this game. You def clear this games up better than the game does. Kudos

Just wanted to say, im a beginner too, and its faster to mine by hand or craft things yourself for tier 0 1 2 close to 3, you can start build a few machines to automate and while in between you can craft a part of them yourself, machines in begining are slow, takes more resources to build with lots of energy, you can try to automate a few things, then try to craft them, its somewhat faster doing it and u just dont have to wait while doing nothing

I disagree.. you can get automation started early.. free your time up to do other things. the game is all about automation and you want to start doing somas early as possible .. plus no one wants to sit there and wait at the screen crafting hundreds of items by hand. you can have 3 to 5 constructors going crafting things for you. I have been playing since update 3 or 4 and this is how I have always done it. but if your method works for you.. by all means keep doing your thing. but it's definitely not faster.

It ain't a lot of energy. Spend a few minutes picking up leaves and wood and the biogenerators are easy to maintain. Got two of 'em built onto the base.
As soon as you can create 3 storage chests a couple belts and an assembler, start automating.
