And without exception everyone who fell for any of those pranks believed that this “just happened to them” when they’re the ones microwaving, drilling and drowning their phones on the internet’s say-so.
Putting the phone in the microwave is almost just as bad as spending money on an Iphone.
I’d call this a lesson in durability testing and idiot proofing. I had to got out of my way to make unbreakable programs in high school. Enter a NUMBER, idiot presses “a” then hits enter, you have to created an error message telling the user they entered an incompatible value, and reset the program prompt for them to try again.
The same type of people that will snob you if you own an Android device, everybody.

There's a reason I, a android user thought I was superior to the Apple fanboys growing up. Literally so far I've had 3 smartphones in my 26 years of living, and only 1 of them fully doesn't work
I remember hearing the headphone jack one, I figured it was trye because Apple had just started selling their wireless airpod things, so I figured they'd just taken the old internal materials and put them in new cases that just didn't have a hole leading into it.
Of course I never tried it because back then I was still sticking to my old flipphone, hell I didn't "upgrade" to a smartphone until 2020 when my job required me to have an app for Covid check in beurocrocy.
no wonder the wave charge failed. everyone put the phone with the screen facing up.
the screen must be facing down. that way the battery can properly absorb the energy
