  • This video shows you where to locate and remove a water pump from a Fiat Punto. This requires removal and replacement of the timing belt. Make sure you research all aspects of this job, before undertaking it, as engine failure can occur if done incorrectly. Check out the end screens, for additional strip down help.

    How do you time up a 2008 1.4 16v t-jet engine?

      You’ll need to match the timing marks at tdc. You may need a locking tool to lock in the crankshaft for perfect timing. Consult a haynes manual if not sure. Thanks for watching.👍

      @@drivewaydiyer6504 thanks, I know I need to match the timing marks, I wondered where they are and where they need to line up with, I'll make a tool to lock it off. It's not mine, I'm doing it for someone else. Somehow the crankshaft pulley centre bolt had come undone (I'm guessing the last person that did a cambelt change hadn't tightened it properly?) And the engine just stopped, it turned over but bottom pulley wasn't turning, I think it had moved around the toothed belt at least one tooth, maybe two. I just need to know where it times up so I can get all marks at the correct place. Would be grateful for the knowledge if you can help. 👍😉

      @Steve Mackay thanks for the info, was 7 months ago now though lol 👍

      @Steve Mackay I hope not, it was a total arse of a job, had to take the whole front of the car off just to get to any of the bolts for the turbo etc, so you could get the timing plug in place at the front, stupid design, the engine was toast after all that anyway, so had to fit another in it.

      Samay Kanda I think it’s a similar set up, coolant pump will be integral to the timing belt. Double check though.

    Hello, I have a problem with a fiat 2, 1,2 2000 year old, it was blowing the hoses, so I replaced the head gasket and it is blowing them again, and I have no heating, what could be the problem

    • @davor312
      @davor312 ปีที่แล้ว

      Is it possible that the pump is bad, or that the small cooler is clogged

    • @drivewaydiyer6504
      @drivewaydiyer6504  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@davor312 has the system be completely bled. Have you flushed the system? Maybe a blockage. Check thermostat. If still a problem, check the pump. Did you check it when doing the head gasket? Was it a major overheat? Could there be more engine damage?

      @@drivewaydiyer6504 the thermostat is new, the water pump has not been looked at

      If you’re happy with everything you’ve done, the water pump could have been you’re issue. I’d check it before anything else.
