  • Hi Guys, today I’ll show you How to Make Crispy Dosas. These Dosas are tasty and crispy, perfect for breakfast or anytime of day. LINK to Lodge Griddle: amzn.to/2JXgzYe
    LINK to Lodge Pizza Pan: amzn.to/2JS5DLH
    Batter Video: • How to Make Dosa and I...
    Sambar Video: • Instant Pot Mini Samba...
    Dosas are traditionally served with sambar and coconut chutney. I’ll put up my favorite white coconut chutney recipe soon. The sambar video is already up and I’ll put a link below if you want to see it. I find that you get the crispiest dosas with cast iron griddles and I’ve put a link below if you want to try out a similar griddle to the one I used in this video.
    I hope you found this video helpful. Subscribe and I’ll see you next time. Thanks for watching :)

    Thanks so much for showing how to use oil on the margins, great trick! Just as a side note: I found that if I place dosas in the refrigerator for a day or two and then reheat them (can break into pieces) in the small roasting oven they become as crispy as hell. Sometimes I like them better this way than fresh. So nice with dahl soup! Thanks for your posting!

    Lol, the number of comments trying to correct the pronunciation. Dosha or Dosa- does it really matter ? End of the day it's down to personal preference and personally as a malayali myself when I hear people say Dosa instead of Dosha it doesn't bother me at all. I guess people would rather comment on that instead of appreciating your video. Thank you for this quick tutorial- much appreciated!

    • @AnitaCooks
      @AnitaCooks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, the tawa should be hot and have a light coating of oil. Use a light hand when spreading batter, if you use too much pressure, the ladle will pick up some of the cooked batter. Make smaller dosas first and use medium heat to practice. Hope that helps.

    Thanks for the video! I bought the lodge griddle/tawa, and used a decent amount of oil with it, but the dosas were firmly stuck on it- I made around 3, before moving to a different pan LOL. Do you think it could be a problem with my batter that makes it stick? It was my second batch, and is definitely not as smooth or well fermented as most people's... and is missing a few ingredients hahah. Anyways, I love the video and am sorry to see so many rude comments 😬

      Make sure that your pan/griddle is properly seasoned too.. Once in a day, apply the gingelly oil on the pan and heat it up.. And also make sure that you seaaoned it back as mentioned abovr after cooking n washing the vessel. If you continuously do this for couple of days, it does magic..

    Do we need iron tawa instead of non stick tawa to make it crispy?
    I have dosa mix. How to add the ingredients to make the batter?

      iron tawa makes dosa sticky to tawa.. so it would bhi gd to use nonstick tawa instead of iron tawa

      Also, adjust the heat of pan, it shouldnt be super high.. Make sure you apply oil before adding batter.
