I have been searching for days to find a layout of the campsites before we make a reservation for next month, and I am SOOO incredibly thankful for this walkthrough! The photos available on the park's flickr album don't show the same perspective of where things are, and how close they are together. You just saved me so much time! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!
Thanks for taking the time to walk through the campground in such detail! According to the park's website, the campground will be closed starting in Sept of 2024 through Feb 2026, so hopefully they will be improving the situation. VA has such good state parks, it will be great to see this one get some love!
We are heading here at the end of June and very much appreciated the tour. It helped us decide on what site we might get for our trip! Much appreciate you!
Delmar and I did a nice hike in the park back in 2017 which was before my TH-cam days. It's an awesome place to visit! Well I have once again got all caught up on your video's. Have a great week.
Hi Karen and Shanon. Thank you for a long distance walking tour in the camp ground. I wonder how the renting fee differ among all lots. As you mentioned.. the asphalt condition is not the best, some water damaged, size, location and levelness... Once it dries and warmer, it will be beautiful forest to camp in. There will be filled with families in the summer, I reckon. How was Fairy Stone State Park named after??? I may have asked you before. 1) what kind of hiking trail app do you use? 2) what walking sticks do you recommend? Thank you always so much for a lot of information and tips. I have been off grid for my BD and now i am back home. It is about time for hiking in NC..a lot warmer nowadays..it was 80s yesterday. Nice to see you two doing well. Cross fingers this comment will not disappear....
Hi there! If memory serves correct - the sites were all priced about the same. We have heard that they are addressing some of the "problem" areas later this year - which is great to hear! We use Alltrails and My Hiking Project to find trails - We use Black Diamond, Leki, Foxelli and Obuy Trekking poles on our hikes! Thanks for watching!

No worries Jim - we are VERY behind in our viewing as well!
It looks a very interesting place!
It a VERY unique area!
This will certainly be valuable for someone planning on camping there!
That is our goal! We always like to see a visual if possible of locations we are considering!

You would think as much as they charge get into the Firestone park and swim there at the swimming place they can fix that place up better
It sounds like there is some closures expected to do some improvements at the end of the year! It is a beautiful area!
