EDIT: Turns out the thing i saw was "Ivans Childhood" a black and white film about the war. Apparently signals switched between Cartoon Network and Turner Classic Movies.
2009 Cartoon Network glitch aired the opening to (1962's) Ivan's Childhood directed by Andrei Tarkovsky and Eduard Abalov a story about a child in the 2nd World War escaping a Nazi prison camp
As a young child in Canada, there was a glitch on the popular pre-school channel "Treehouse" where it cut from a cartoon of the "One-Legged Soldier" to a clip/full movie of Stephen King's "It".
I think I saw like one or two episodes of that show, but I've seen the characters a lot when then they crossover with Billy and Mandy, especially after Scar became their neighbor.
I actually remember that Corrupted Regular Show Episode. I didn't remember it was specifically the color scheme, I just remember something was very wrong with my viewing of that episode. Good times...
It was the episode of Muscle Man where he entered a body competition. I was very confused when I watched it on pirated websites where I could watch CN shows 7 months behind my country.
I happened to catch that viewing too. I was like " ... is my TV messed up? " and then I switched channels. Fine. Switch back? Saturated colors like a shitty creepypasta.
I remember when Comcast changed Cartoon Network's channel from 34 to 43 and then waking up to golf and got scared that that was the future of Cartoon Network
I'm kinda surprised Sheep in the Big City wasn't on here! That was a strange one. And an old favorite of mine, but seemingly no one remembers, Mike Lu and Og!
I remember both of those shows. Sheep In The Big City would've been a boring cartoon if it wasn't for the interesting villains and side characters. Just goes to show how clever of a writer Lauren Faust was!
Does anyone else remember Yin Yang Yo? Don't remember if it was Cartoon Network or not but i watched that show a lot when I was younger. EDIT: It was aired on Disney's Jetix. Thank you to everyone who informed me.
I remember Wulin warriors, my brother and I found it hilarious as kids. We wondered if there would be more, because it entertained us, also the voice of goku.
I specifically remember seeing one of those Thumb Movies one time right before Star Wars: The Clone Wars Premiered. I was like 7 years old and I told my dad there was this awesome new Star Wars TV show on Cartoon Network and we needed to see it. I wait all day for Cartoon Network to show it, then Thumb Wars came on and I remember my dad sighing and saying "well, I don't know what I expected"
Plum Tree I actually saw the premier of season 2 and 1 and they did not show that thumb wars. But I can say I thought thumb wars was kind've funny at the time and confused.
The topic of glitches on Cartoon Network wound up bringing up this one things I swear I experienced when I was watching the channel a number of years back. There was a time that I think CN was airing either an episode during the nighttime hours, or that there was a marathon episode going on, but there was a time they were airing an episode of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl at what had to have been sometime between 5 to 8PM (EST)--I don't remember the specific time, but I recall there was one scene that occurred with Team Rocket where Meowth was nonchalantly shrugging while he was saying one of his lines. It was probably one of CN's technical difficulty bumps that kicked in, but after the scene where Meowth was speaking the broadcast was quickly cut to this short 3 second red screen that just quickly featured a variety of characters erratically displaying on the screen, standing in what I'd assume was just generic poses or their promotional character art. (I know that FHfIF's Cheese and Dexter were some of the characters that the bump quickly switched through) tied with some cartoonish melody that used either some type of synth or a funky sound close to bubble popping or burping. It ended up doing that two times or so consecutively after the previous scene with Meowth replayed a couple times. It still kind of sets me off as a mystery that I at least want to see again to know I wasn't going crazy.
Why on earth is the Simpsons a world cup football match? This one wasn't really mislabelled. The football was either delayed and/or ran over time resulting in it running over the simpsons. So they just skipped it out in its entirity
BlueScarabGuy Because he didn't exactly get good until around the mid 2000's, but his notoriety of famous roles such as Goku and that blonde guy from the English dub of Tokyo Mew Mew helped keep his career alive.
Hunter Wilson To be fair, his performance in Wulin Warriors, from that tiny clip, doesn't sound AWFUL considering the material we're talking about. Moreso I was just shocked to hear his voice. I mean, let's not forget that Schemmel also voiced at least one of the Ninja Turtles in Turtles Forever. One of the ones based on the original comics, though I don't remember which, probably Raphael.
BlueScarabGuy Yeah, true, not to mention he probably didn't really try with Wulin Warriors given the show we are talking about. And Turtles Forever was great.
Hunter Wilson To be totally honest, I haven't actually SEEN Turtles Forever. But I know he's in there, I've looked up his voice credits. Not to mention that in one of the mobile games (I think Dark Knight Rises), he was BATMAN once. Lemme run that by you again. GOKU. WAS. BATMAN. Voice acting's a crazy industry.
BlueScarabGuy Probably used the same voice he used in Turtles Forever. They painted the comic as "dark and gritty" in the anniversary special. Raph (the 90's-2000's one) even made a joke on it.
I remember seeing the Tickle U block when I was living at my third house around 2007. Because I had school early in the morning (around 6 in the morning), I ended catching some of it now and again. On another note, I completely forgot Princess Natasha was a thing, but I always remembered that it looked strange when I watched it as a kid; always kinda figured it looked like I was watching cutscenes from a flash game. Also, I fondly remember the days of Grim & Evil, the wedgies, and Robot Jones.
Anyone remember Sheep in the big city? Even though it Was obscure and did not last long, it still is a holds a history for Cartoon Network since A) it was the first Cartoon Network show to premiere in the year 2000 and B) it was the first original Cartoon Network show that was 22 minutes long.
actually one of the first 3 games i ever got was for the GBA and one of them was Cartoon network speedway where he was a playable character i never new where the character came from due to getting the game in 2003 and being 5 years old
why do I have a terrible feeling that shows like 'Generator Rex' and 'Secret Saturdays' are going to fall into obscurity, despite them being amazing shows respectively?
LucarioTube Yes! I didn't know that it was called Hero 108, until one day I found out thanks to someone else's screenshot. I was a Boomerang kid, so it played early in the morning. I was only able to see a few episodes before it was permanently taken off the airing schedule, but that show is still engraved in my memory, especially that girl with pink hair that is her weapon.
My dad LOVED it. He caught it while getting ready for work cause I'd sleep with Cartoon Network on. We ended up recording it. Nobody else cared about it but us
OHHHH MYYYY S H I T. You're the FIRST PERSON I've EVER seen bring up the glitched-out premiere of 'Power Tower'! My brother and I saw that the night it premiered, and we've talked about it from time to time, but we never heard anyone else mention it. It was a bit like having a paranormal encounter no one can relate to or believe. Thanks for that! :D
I saw the glitched Power Tower. My Dad and I used to watch Adventure Time and Regular Show on every premiere. He was cooking. I remember saying "Daddy! Regular Show looks extremely weird!"
Spooky S'mores I remember that shit. I should've asked JG Quintel about that when I was at New York Comic Con a couple years back. Then again, the line was long as hell, so.
I actually liked it. I always thought of it as Gigantor 2005. Because that's basically what it was. Kid gets combat robot, kid uses combat robot to fight other combat robots. Though the fact that they had the evil scientist... What was his name, Kamikazi? Never sat well with me. It's a real shame Cartoon Network sent the show to the dead hours of school o'clock. Otherwise I'm sure the show would've been moderately successful during their decline.
I do. I live in the UK and we have CN (UK), which always aired Robotboy during the "night hours", basically what this is, is CN's European shows (Skatoony, Robotboy, Chop Socky Chooks) aired during the 9pm-12am slot, where from 12am, we get Cartoon Cartoons, Don't get your hopes up, it's just CN's typical programming at night. But the thing is, they used to have Cow and Chicken, Courage and Samurai Jack during these hours. They replaced them around April 2014, I think. But anyway, I thought Robotboy was alright, not a bad show, but wouldn't mind if it aired during the daytime hours.
I kinda liked them more in theory than I did in execution. I felt like they were trying to do more of those cool bumpers they did in the late 90s/early 2000s, but they didn't feel as ambitious.
Grim and Evil was honestly one of my absolutely favorite shows. I'm glad the characters got a second life in Billy and Mandy, but I miss the classic and Evil Con Carne alike
-Atomic Betty -Max Steel -Pecola -Krypto the Superdog -Pet Alien -Skunk Fu! -Sitting Ducks -Beast Wars: Transformers -Chop Socky Chooks -Class of 3000 -It's a Big Big World That's my brief list of obscure/semi- obscure cartoons I remember watching when I was a kid at some mental hospital.
Beast Wars wasn't obscure when I was a kid in elementary school. Maybe some of the "later" seasons that came up on fox or whatever network it sorta moved too and became a vastly different show.
You mean the Tarkovsky movie? I havent seen it yet but thats interesting to me since Andrei Rublev is one of my top 3 favorite movies along with Seven Samurai and Fritz Langs M.
I remember they had a voice sequencer like Microsoft Sam to begin with, but then ended up switching it to a distorted voice actor. I was sad when I heard the change.
Grim and Evil was my shit. I thought it was funny when General Skarr moved next door to Billy on Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. A real obscure one would be Underfist, the spinoff of Billy and Mandy. I think Cartoon Network only aired it once or twice. I was so excited for it but it was never shown or mentioned again. Toon Heads and Cartoon Cartoon Fridays are a real flashback for me. ;-; I miss CCF. I remember them sometimes showing Toon Heads during their movie blocks when the movie ended early and they needed to fill the rest of the time with something.
It was only ever on at stupid hours of the night, so I remember I only saw it on days I was sick. Fun fact: Its made by the same company behind Wallace and Gromit/Chicken Run
My mom and I used to watch Toon Heads together. Toon Heads talked about the production of the cartoons and my mon would tell me about growing up in the 60's and 70's and watching them on tv. It was a cool thing we did together and it's probably one of the things that got me interested in animation.
Kazahaya Kudo I never got to see cartoon heads main reason because I had to go to sleep for school the next day but it fascinated me I was never so lucky to watch it but I did get to see the chuck Jones show remember that.
10:44 Eddy: Don't we air Scooby Doo enough? Now you gotta take over Cartoon Cartoon Fridays? Oh trust me Eddy, you don't know even the half of what they did to Scooby Doo in the future.......
I watched a modern scooby doo the other day with my friend (I never normally watch TV anymore) and it was closer to adventure time and regular show than anything else I've seen. It's much less serious than it used to be
Just you know watch the animated scooby doo movies, yes even the very recent WWE one's they are really good since they follow the originals very closely when compared to mystery incorporated and what's family guy scooby doo? which both left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
Kind of a bummer how everyone instantly dismissed Be Cool Scooby doo, It actually had decent humor a lot of the time. It was by no means the worst scooby doo incarnation. I'm looking at you green day intro scooby doo. Or maybe the 13 ghosts of scooby doo.
I remember "Wedgies" so vividly because it was when I first started feeling like CN was going do the drain. I'm just amazed he didn't include _Gatchaman_ or _El Cabong_ .
Not a single show, but does anyone remember an old programming block on CN called "Invaded"? The bumpers had aliens that "took over the network" for like a month, and each week a new episode if a different show would air involving the same aliens, like Fosters', Camp Lazlo, My Gym Partners a Monkey (underrated show BTW) and Ed Edd and Eddy I think?
I remember it mainly for the whole connecting universes thing, which was pretty cool, but also because the FHFIF episode had Eduardo stoned on laughing gas and just saying funny shit, not giving a fuck about the alien shit happening.
Kitteh yeah, they were all stealing cheese, and blue thought the aliens wanted cheese the imaginary friend, Samson thought these Canadians were aliens, only to find out there were aliens and Canadian cheese thieves; jimmy thought the aliens were going to rip the colvesac (spelling) out of the ground and fly away, Adam and jake made friends with this really annoying platypus that sounded like iago the perrit who turned into an alien, and billy and Mandy find out the aliens were trying to use the cheese to complete the moon, as the full moon would allow them transform into super strong werewolf monsters, and I remember two add ons, one where the aliens wanted brain juice and they abducted all the stupid people from their shows, and the other after the aliens fixed the moon it shows the KND on the moon base and one of them says "do you guys smell cheese" and they all look at number 2
That's the first thing i thought. I did just a quick look up on google on both shows. WordGirl was created by Dorothea Gillim, developed by Dorothea Gillim and Jack D. Ferraiolo, but directed by David SanAngelo and Steve Young. All i could see on Princess Natasha was the voice actors and it's creator; Larry Schwarz. So i looked on his bio and it turns out he was the producer for Wulin Warriors for Cartoonnetwork which was on this top 10 video lol. So i guess he didn't work on WordGirl?
I honestly wanted to hear more about "What ever happened to Robot Jones?" because I always remember the show itself (specifically the episode where he keeps solving Rubix Cubes in seconds, but when the school holds a rubix solving competition, the 2 bully characters swaps 2 stickers on Jones' cube to make it impossible to solve), but I always forget the name of the show!
RebelTaxi I remember a surprising amount of these, actually. Is it weird that in my head "Sheep in the Big City" and "Whatever Happened to Robot Jones?" are a pair? They must have aired at the same time or something.
Pan, if you want to check out some of the russian cartoons soyuzmultfilm have their own channel (search for союзмультфильм on youtube) , or just search for the list of their longer films because i'm not sure that you can find every single one of their films on their channel. Also i doubt CN would air russian cartoons, it was possibly czech or polish or from that region. Hope you can find that mysterious foreign film
I remember or witness almost every single on of these obscure forgotten Cartoons except the Moxy Show (which I found online researching Cartoon Network's earlier shows, but I never or even remember Cartoonstitute or the glitches. But I may remember a lost episode of Ed Edd n Eddy which aired in 2004 I found it out later by a lost episode video and I thought it was one of my nightmares I used to have when I was a kid.
Oh man! You continue to amaze me with how many obscure cartoons you're able to showcase on your videos! A lot of these cartoons I haven't even heard of, except for "Evil Con Carne," "Whatever Happened to Robot Jones" and "Toon Heads."
I remember my Cartoon Network in the Portland area did a really weird broadcast glitch sometime in 2008 or 2009 where it played a half hour or so of those cartoon shorts they would play in commercials breaks and all the titles and graphics were missing. It would also show bumpers for random shows that never aired at that time.
Spooky/weird broadcast glitches are my favorite thing. Though the rare times I've seen any they were small, or scared the everloving crap out of me lol
Look up Duel Masters. It was literally Yu Gi Oh Abridged before Yu Gi Oh abridged existed. A gag dub of a yu gi oh-esque show. The opening makes fun of spikey hair for shonen anime characters, the show woud frequently make pop culture references, make fun of the plot of the original Japanese show's predictable plot, etc. But yeah, gag dubs are a thing like the ones already mentioned.
yes!!! Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi was a huge favorite of mine! i had the game boy game and everything. do you know what channel it was aired on?? cause i have no idea
Every single morning my TV guide says CN is airing The Amazing World Of Gumball but when I check it's always just Teen Titans Go and I just switch to Spongebob
I remember stumbling upon one of those thumb movies on TH-cam when I was younger and I remember being so weirded out and entranced by them at the same time. It was an odd experience.
I want to say that I REALLY love Pan's Videos. He goes into so much research and it is truly awesome, reminds me of the work I do for my newspaper. He even goes into quotes said in videos and articles, It is just so awesome.
I would love to see a video comparing how Cartoon Network works in other countries besides America and see what other blocks different places had and different shows that aired
luke ashbrooke In Latin America they air pretty much the same shows of the moment, except they air more action cartoons (Teen Titans, Megas XLR8, Ben 10, etc. kept rerunning after their cancellation ), there's no Adult Swim or Toonami (they STILL air Dragon Ball Z Kai and the uncensored 90's DBZ movies every night, though), there has never been live action shows on LA CN (2009 was literally only Ben 10 reruns. They didn't premier anything and barely changed the schedule) and right now there's slightly less Teen Titans Go!
Well I haven't checked in a while (I don't really watch TV anymore especially since I started secondary school) but in Ireland Cartoon Network still do clog up the schedule with Teen Titans Go on weekdays for a couple hours until around 5 or 6. Then we'd have 2 episodes of the Amazing World of Gumball and after that they would premier any new episodes they had (mostly on Fridays). On Saturdays and Sundays in the early afternoon we would be treated with hours of Adventure Time or Regular Show (or both!) until we get more Teen Titans Go. I don't know whether I'm right or not but if I'm wrong please tell me! ^_^
I remember [adult swim] being a seperate channel than CN in france seeing as CN's schedule near the night is still normal cartoons and when you look its still CN all day.
Looked into it. Turns out the two cartoons didn't have a connection outside of flash that I'm aware of, but what is neat is that Princess Natasha was made by the same people (Animation Collective) that made the Wulin Warriors (and Kappa Mikey if you'd believe it). Meanwhile the studio behind Word Girl (Soup2Nuts) had their hand in some cartoon network shorts in Fridays and Sunday Pants as well as being the ones that made Assy McGee and Home Movies. The same people that made a vocabulary show that I watched as a youngster were the same ones responsible for a cartoon about a talking ass. Unfortunately both studios are shut down now but interesting connections nonetheless
I actually experienced a different glitch/air-time error when watching CN. 2005, I was 12. I would stay up past my bed time to watch Adult Swim. And I remember being awake when Adult Swim ended and it went back to CN. Camp Lazlo was on and I was about to go to bed, but I hadn't seen the episode when it aired, so I stayed up to watch it. Half way through the show the TV gets interrupted by one of those tests that local stations do for weather alerts and shit. But when the test ended, the show that came back wasn't Camp Lazlo. It was an old 80's show from France about a girl in a wheelchair. It was on for like, 15 seconds before it went back to Camp Lazlo. I thought I was dreaming. So glad to know I'm not the only person who's experienced this.
I just looked that up, and yeah! That's it! But why would that even accidentally air on CN? Do you think it was an error with the cable provider and not CN themselves? Or did CN have that show available? And if so, why in French? Why wouldn't they dub it? Why did it only play for 15 seconds in the middle of an episode when Camp Lazlo should have been on? So many questions...
I think some cable channels share the same station that another channel might be using, if it's also owned by the same company. Perhaps whoever was manning the controls at the time accidentally sent the incorrect signal to the channel. Not sure what channel would air that, though. Public access?
Similar to the color and title error, I was watching CN when all of a sudden a commercial for birth control aired. It featured couple getting undressed and making out, and the tagline was something like "Why should you miss out?" The big twist? This was immediately after I got back from school at around 2:30 PM.
Atomic Robo Tesla no it's an adult swim special called unedited footage of a bear it's really a trick the show starts as film of a bear then it turns into a really strange video of a woman running over a clone of herself and calling herself it's just strange and they only air it at around 3am or so
13:46 This needs a reboot as a podcastish block programming on HBO Max. You are perfect one of the contenders to be the interchangeable hosts for this.
Lowkey though, "Why do we all have British accents when we're in outer space and there is no britain?" was one of the most savage CN quotes I've heard in my life.
I don't get it, personally. Those were upper-class British accents, so it would make sense that an English speaking upper class would develop similar accents. In Canon, it's a Corusant accent BTW.
I live in LatinAmerica. Once when i was like 11 i woked up as i usually do and turned on the TV while i put clothes on. At that hour they usually showed Looney Tunes shorts, but they were showing "H2O: Just Add Water", it was so weird, A live action show in CN? But eh, i left it there because background noise. But after the commercial break, they showed Looney Tunes instead, they didn't even let the episode end.
A production of the Irish studio Cartoon Saloon, who now make Oscar-nominated movies and a beautiful show about puffins narrated by Roy from The I.T. Crowd.
I remember watching Grim and Evil when it first premiered. The two heads attempting to do their most evil laugh. The crudeness of the animation (it looked terrible compared to grim adventures of b&m). And I loved both Grim and Evil. I wish they worked on both.
Damn, I miss _O Canada_, and I haven't thought about _Toon Heads_ in ages! Yes, _Toon Heads_ needs to come back, if not on Cartoon Network then on Boomerang. There is at least one notable thing about _What Ever Happened to Robot Jones?_: At some point, his voice was redubbed. His voice was originally a stock speech synthesizer like the kind used by Stephen Hawkings. For whatever reason, it was redubbed with some random kid. _Wulin Warriors_ is the only thing I never saw. Too bad it got maimed worse than a 4Kids anime.
Truth he told, Robot Jones is one the most influential cartoons growing up... And the only show I believe would actually BENEFIT from being brought back today. Imagine an 80s robots in MODERN High School, all his friends grown up and all his software abysmally outdated.
The show was cancelled with the creator wanting to do a lot more with the premise than he was allowed to do. If given his way, the show would have been darker and even harsher. By that alone, the show has more potential to be brought back and be successful by trying different thing for the reboot. That and few fans would be pissed that a reboot of this show "changed" things from the original.
Disappointed you didnt get into Robot Jones. I have a distinct memory of an episode in which he's showering in the boy's locker room at school and electrocutes everyone.
theeredhippopotamus not off the top of my head, but I'm going to look more into this show myself. I love the animation and how it's reminiscent of older shows like School House Rock
I remember an episode that revolved around Robot Jones not being sure which bathroom to use, being a robot, and the eventual solution was that he just used a mechanical closet or something.
I loved it as a child, I still remember a weird joke. The Sheep gets caught and then the narrator proclaims. Well, fortunately, the sheep escaped during the advert break or something.
8:39 and there is "Teena sometimes" from kick buttowski. (I remember they passed two episodes of that show here in Argentina. I got to watch both, but then it dissapeared magically)
#3 feels not that obscure at all. Grim & Evil aired for a looong time before the shows split, I still remember how the theme song goes despite not having seen it in like 15 years. #7 is the only other one I remember but that one was only around for a short while so, fair enough :P
The only 2 I do remember -16:40 mentioning the wedgie shorts(some of the shorts but I don't think all of them). -18:45 him talking about the error color scheme in a regular show episode broadcast.
EDIT: Turns out the thing i saw was "Ivans Childhood" a black and white film about the war. Apparently signals switched between Cartoon Network and Turner Classic Movies.
RebelTaxi cool
RebelTaxi I think you saw an obscure broadcast hijacking.

This is getting interesting

Speaking of those "Thumb" movies, does anyone remember Thumb Wrestling Federation?
Angel Flash yes
yeah, i used to be obsessed with that when i was younger.
I wasted so much time on the game, I remember the black skull guy being the boss
Angel Flash a better version of those thumb movies
i remember playing the game for every day after school
-i think i even drew humanized versions of the characters but those papers are long gone-
2009 Cartoon Network glitch aired the opening to (1962's) Ivan's Childhood directed by Andrei Tarkovsky and Eduard Abalov a story about a child in the 2nd World War escaping a Nazi prison camp
+Old Kid Yes, it's that ! en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivan%27s_Childhood
My god you are right!
Well fuck that's pretty dark. Wonder how that got on CN.
TCM, another channel owned by Turner Broadcasting, owns the rights to broadcasting the movie iirc, they probably switched the signals
Upvote so RT sees
Dude I thought this thumb shit was some crazy dream and people looked at me like I was crazy when I tried explaining Star Wars with thumbs
Nah, I loved the thumb collection!
Nicholas Yost I loved it too. I was just so sad that nobody knew what I was talking about lol
shit bro this is like finding out all your fever dreams were real
hue genex ikr
yes!
That is so damn accurate
yep
This is the first ever "obscure/forgotten cartoons" list where I actually forgot/never heard of any of the cartoons. Props to you!
Well, besides the "Wedgies". But other than that, I had no clue!
I remembered what ever happened to robot jones, grim and evil, wulin warriors, what a cartoon show, toon heads, and sunday pants
TheHeavenlyBuddy it was pretty good I only knew a few
TheHeavenlyBuddy same
I feel like I got robbed of a Robot Jones segment for the sake of a joke
Me too. Pan should do a review or at least a proper analyzes on the cartoon.
He has is previous vids, he already repeats himself enough as it is.
Big T. Larrity I watch Rebel all the time and he's never mentioned Robot Jones
Same.
Didn't some incident happen involving it?
Turns out that the people who made Kappa Mikey made Wulin Warriors.
I seriously wish i was lying about this.
they also made princess natasha
That makes me want to watch it now

As a young child in Canada, there was a glitch on the popular pre-school channel "Treehouse" where it cut from a cartoon of the "One-Legged Soldier" to a clip/full movie of Stephen King's "It".
Maybe someone/you were sitting on the remote.

That moment when Scar from Wulin Warriors is voiced by Sean Schemmel (Voice of Goku)
I caught that and had to rewind it
He was also Gonard on Kappa Mikey, which like another comment here stated, was created by the guys who created Wulin Warriors.
yeah thats the only thing I remember about it, bad show bad idea
K a k a r o t .
Hell no. The bastardization of Fili feels like what Harvey Weinstein and 4Kids would do!
until now ive spent years of my life believing i somehow just IMAGINED grim and evil.
I felt the same with Wulin Warriors until I looked it up a few months ago

I believe they also showed some Flapjack wedgies shortly before it first aired.
I actually remember that Corrupted Regular Show Episode. I didn't remember it was specifically the color scheme, I just remember something was very wrong with my viewing of that episode.
Good times...
Yeah I remember that too. I just thought it was something for that episode
Same here. I was watching it with my brother and we tried to fix the TV only to find out that it was a glitch.
I remember
I remember when Comcast changed Cartoon Network's channel from 34 to 43 and then waking up to golf and got scared that that was the future of Cartoon Network
theklooney it's always been channel 42 for me with Comcast, always throws me off when I watch TV on other services
theklooney cartoon network is 32 and 128 for optimum
for me it was 51 for the longest time
theklooney it was 61 when I returned from my Myrtle Beach trip in August 2009. PAH! I'm too smart for ya!
theklooney I remember when they changed it from 42 to 88 and I was sad lol. Dunno why, but I was pretty young

Hey Pan Pizza, I found the 2009 cartoon you where talking about its actually Russian and it's called Ivan's Childhood.
This?
www.criterion.com/films/830-ivan-s-childhood
It's not a cartoon at all.
Banana0042 well that's what he probably saw unless there is a animated adaptation
It matches the description rather well, but it raises the question of why a 1962 soviet Tarkovsky film was airing on CN of all things.
Banana0042 try to watch completely some parts are kind of disturbing for kids its weird they would air something like this
@Banana0042 I think there was some kind of animated in it.
I'm kinda surprised Sheep in the Big City wasn't on here! That was a strange one.

@@Cyberbrickmaster1986 I always wondered about that show I remember seeing the sheep in the cn's kart racer for gba and wondering what the show was
Oh god Sheep in the Big City
I hated that show
Oh man. Sometimes I remember sheep in the big city and wonder if I just made it all up lmao
Does anyone else remember Yin Yang Yo? Don't remember if it was Cartoon Network or not but i watched that show a lot when I was younger.
EDIT:
It was aired on Disney's Jetix. Thank you to everyone who informed me.
Dylan Clark
That was Disney. It aired on their Jetix block along other shows.
Dylan Clark I DO.
yeah it was on jetix.. there was also that show with the kid and the robot monkeys
I think you're thinking of SUPER FIGHTING ROBOT MONKEY TEAM HYPER FORCE GO!
Dylan Clark oh shit a bunch of Jetix flashbacks just popped up! Thanks!
Wulin Warriors is basically "Pili: The Abridged Series"
The fact that this is so true pains me.
What makes it better is that they got notable Voice Actor and American's #1 Yeller himself, Sean Schemmel the voice of Goku from DBZ voicing Scar.
I was actually thinking the same thing during that segment
Except with more pizza.
10:53 you gotta love how Rebeltaxi has managed to get people to draw fetish art for him for free. I appreciate the hustle.
God i wish that were me
Yet when Nolan does it....
@@bungiecrimes7247 AYO 🤨📸📸
I remember Wulin warriors, my brother and I found it hilarious as kids. We wondered if there would be more, because it entertained us, also the voice of goku.
I specifically remember seeing one of those Thumb Movies one time right before Star Wars: The Clone Wars Premiered. I was like 7 years old and I told my dad there was this awesome new Star Wars TV show on Cartoon Network and we needed to see it. I wait all day for Cartoon Network to show it, then Thumb Wars came on and I remember my dad sighing and saying "well, I don't know what I expected"
Plum Tree I remember specifically that airing right before the awesome bounty hunter arch of the clone wars. Not season 1.
they must've aired it twice then
Plum Tree LOL
Plum Tree I actually saw the premier of season 2 and 1 and they did not show that thumb wars. But I can say I thought thumb wars was kind've funny at the time and confused.
Doug Dimmadone he said it in the video

Still happens all the time on my DirecTV
I feel like a Robot Jones review would be cool since we skipped over that one
Roxlyn166 Probably one in the works, hence why he didn't go into detail
XANApwns I hope so
Roxlyn166 if he does he should talk about the voice changing that one time
I actually like the podcast. He must have acknowledged it in the latest one. I'm not caught up.
Dear lord that "Scar" guy in Wulin Warriors is freaking Sean Schemmel. IT'S GOKU. WHY GOKU WHY
BlueScarabGuy
Because he didn't exactly get good until around the mid 2000's, but his notoriety of famous roles such as Goku and that blonde guy from the English dub of Tokyo Mew Mew helped keep his career alive.
BlueScarabGuy
Yeah, true, not to mention he probably didn't really try with Wulin Warriors given the show we are talking about.
BlueScarabGuy
Probably used the same voice he used in Turtles Forever.
Why would anyone build a sheep-powered laser cannon? I mean, really.
Professor Detective That's what made the show unique
I credit that show with helping to develop my sense of humor with how obsessed with wordplay its writing was.
actually one of the first 3 games i ever got was for the GBA and one of them was Cartoon network speedway where he was a playable character i never new where the character came from due to getting the game in 2003 and being 5 years old
I remember the pilot of that show was included in a Powerpuff Girls DVD that I owned,I kept re watching it everytime I put in the DVD.
why do I have a terrible feeling that shows like 'Generator Rex' and 'Secret Saturdays' are going to fall into obscurity, despite them being amazing shows respectively?
Gallifreyan Autobot the Warrior what about symbiotic titan?
That was a good show
Gallifreyan Autobot the Warrior i forget, how long did generator rex air for?
I freakin' loved Secret Saturdays though, that show was awesome.
I had to look these up because I didn't recoginze the names but I definitely remember watching these!!
Anyone else remember Hero 108?
LucarioTube Yes! I didn't know that it was called Hero 108, until one day I found out thanks to someone else's screenshot. I was a Boomerang kid, so it played early in the morning. I was only able to see a few episodes before it was permanently taken off the airing schedule, but that show is still engraved in my memory, especially that girl with pink hair that is her weapon.
My dad LOVED it. He caught it while getting ready for work cause I'd sleep with Cartoon Network on.
We ended up recording it.
Nobody else cared about it but us
Nice name and avi but yea, I have mixed memories of it airing on 4Kids lol
I REMEMBER THEY SOLD TOYS OF THAT SHOW AT TACO BELL HOLY SHIT
LucarioTube I do.
7:03 so thats what goku was up to before mecha frieza appeared
OHHHH MYYYY S H I T. You're the FIRST PERSON I've EVER seen bring up the glitched-out premiere of 'Power Tower'! My brother and I saw that the night it premiered, and we've talked about it from time to time, but we never heard anyone else mention it. It was a bit like having a paranormal encounter no one can relate to or believe. Thanks for that! :D
Yea I Remember That When I Was Heavy Into Cartoon Network
Spooky S'mores literally everyone talked about it tf
I saw the glitched Power Tower. My Dad and I used to watch Adventure Time and Regular Show on every premiere. He was cooking. I remember saying "Daddy! Regular Show looks extremely weird!"
Spooky S'mores I saw it too, it was weird.
Spooky S'mores I remember that shit. I should've asked JG Quintel about that when I was at New York Comic Con a couple years back. Then again, the line was long as hell, so.
Who remembers robot boy? I remember watching it when I was a kid and thinking "This is garbage", but never changing the channel.
It was so generic looking so I never watched it
Yeah, it was a euro show so it's not on this list
I actually liked it. I always thought of it as Gigantor 2005. Because that's basically what it was. Kid gets combat robot, kid uses combat robot to fight other combat robots.
Though the fact that they had the evil scientist... What was his name, Kamikazi? Never sat well with me. It's a real shame Cartoon Network sent the show to the dead hours of school o'clock. Otherwise I'm sure the show would've been moderately successful during their decline.
I didn't like it. I was on that American Dragon Jake Long Season 1 LIFE!
I adored those "Wedgies" shorts.
donk donk, donk donk, dongs, dongs, turn I remember watching "episodes" of Nacho Bear.
donk donk, donk donk, dongs, dongs, turn Nacho Bear was the shit

That's were flapjack came from
I kinda liked them more in theory than I did in execution. I felt like they were trying to do more of those cool bumpers they did in the late 90s/early 2000s, but they didn't feel as ambitious.
Grim and Evil was honestly one of my absolutely favorite shows. I'm glad the characters got a second life in Billy and Mandy, but I miss the classic and Evil Con Carne alike
and since I was so damn curious about Robot Jones...

-Pecola
-Krypto the Superdog
-Pet Alien
-Skunk Fu!
-Sitting Ducks
-Beast Wars: Transformers
-Chop Socky Chooks
-Class of 3000
-It's a Big Big World
That's my brief list of obscure/semi- obscure cartoons I remember watching when I was a kid at some mental hospital.
"Pet Alien"
Damn,nostalgia's hitting me hard.
Class of 3000... i never forgot the name. And only a fragment of the opening theme is in my head.
ATOMIC BETTY.
Beast Wars wasn't obscure when I was a kid in elementary school. Maybe some of the "later" seasons that came up on fox or whatever network it sorta moved too and became a vastly different show.
Robotomy. That's all.
So, who else is scrolling through the comments to see if someone has any info on that Russian cartoon?
That Guy...Brian now i'm looking up stories of strange cartoon glitches
He said he forgot to mention it was live action and Ivan's Childhood seems to be it.
multiple people say it was a movie called "Ivan's Childhood" and it seems legit
No more annoyingly long names what's Ivan's childhood
You mean the Tarkovsky movie? I havent seen it yet but thats interesting to me since Andrei Rublev is one of my top 3 favorite movies along with Seven Samurai and Fritz Langs M.
No Chop Socky Chooks? God that was weird, and if I recall got a toy deal with Carl's Jr
ywah i thought chop socky chooks would be in this
Cartoon Network still plays it late at night
Or at least did when I was 13
So 4 years ago

"...and that's all that needs to be said."

DarthThePyro the title was the joke fam people hardly remember it I barely do
kareem snowden It's still worth talking about I'd say. If anything the fact that it's so obscure makes it even better to talk about in this video
What Ever Happened to Robot Jones was my least favorite Cartoon Cartoon :(
I remember they had a voice sequencer like Microsoft Sam to begin with, but then ended up switching it to a distorted voice actor. I was sad when I heard the change.
DarthThePyro I know ;-; ;-;
I never forget Robot Jones, and I will always ask the question. The question of the century.
Sapphire Supernova I know it’s late but Underfist was only longer special for Billy and Mandy
Underfist airs every Halloween cause it’s a Halloween movie
Anyone else remember watching episodes of that anime BoBoBo-Bo-BoBoBo on CN back in like... 2007? It was my jam.

Super Starm
Eeyup. "Kung fu chickens"

yeah, i can remember it! all i can remember that it used to be on in the early hours of the morning
Super Starm yes that was some cheesy goodness. especially the villian, wasabi.
It was only ever on at stupid hours of the night, so I remember I only saw it on days I was sick. Fun fact: Its made by the same company behind Wallace and Gromit/Chicken Run

Ian Jones Quarty: I'm about to do whats called a pro gamer move [Literally puts Moxy in Crossover Nexus]
My mom and I used to watch Toon Heads together. Toon Heads talked about the production of the cartoons and my mon would tell me about growing up in the 60's and 70's and watching them on tv. It was a cool thing we did together and it's probably one of the things that got me interested in animation.
Kazahaya Kudo I loved watching that and the trivia involved.
It's much less serious than it used to be
Just you know watch the animated scooby doo movies, yes even the very recent WWE one's they are really good since they follow the originals very closely when compared to mystery incorporated and what's family guy scooby doo? which both left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
they predicted Teen titans go
(frowns as he looks at teen titans go)
Kind of a bummer how everyone instantly dismissed Be Cool Scooby doo, It actually had decent humor a lot of the time. It was by no means the worst scooby doo incarnation. I'm looking at you green day intro scooby doo. Or maybe the 13 ghosts of scooby doo.
Once upon a time, Cartoon Network aired the full intro to the Amazing World of Gumball.
From what I know in Mexico it's all the time
Haven't checked CN since 2014-2015 so I don't know if they keep doing that
Goku14635 the theme song airs fully on at least three episodes.
or Toonami airing the full intro to Jojo that pissed me off when I started watching Toonami
That happens whenever they air The Procrastinators, and a few others.
It randomly happens every once in a while, I saw it yesterday where, just like Matthew said, it showed up on The Procrastinators.
I remember "Wedgies" so vividly because it was when I first started feeling like CN was going do the drain.
I'm just amazed he didn't include _Gatchaman_ or _El Cabong_ .
One is anime, the other is a old cartoon.
You should do a video about the old Jetix block.
Jetix was so good
gododoof Why did it had to go?
I remember watching goosebumps on Jetix and watching Ying Yang Yo....
I remember Jetix airing stuff like Shaman King or Oban Star racer. Good times.
Anyone remember Super Monkey Team Hyperforce Go?
Not a single show, but does anyone remember an old programming block on CN called "Invaded"? The bumpers had aliens that "took over the network" for like a month, and each week a new episode if a different show would air involving the same aliens, like Fosters', Camp Lazlo, My Gym Partners a Monkey (underrated show BTW) and Ed Edd and Eddy I think?
I remember that. Kind of obscured though.
I remember it mainly for the whole connecting universes thing, which was pretty cool, but also because the FHFIF episode had Eduardo stoned on laughing gas and just saying funny shit, not giving a fuck about the alien shit happening.
I remember that. I think there was a compilation video of the bumpers a while back on here.
Yes! Finally someone else brought this up! Invaded blew my mind as a kid.
Robot Jones deserves its own review.
Also, Sitting Ducks.
Pecola was on there too.
Jay E don't you mean Duck Sitters?
2:09 Until surprisingly the crossover episode with Ok K.O.
Same thing with Tickle u and robot Jones.
Did the same person who made Word girl make princess Natasha? the art styles are really similar
Tailterrier27 lol same
The pacing is also really similar to the original WordGirl shorts.
Thats wut i said
This show ran for a while but does anybody remember the mr.men show?

Cyeana Martinez YES! Ugh, why did boomerang have to rebrand!? now I'll never see it again!
Cyeana Martinez I LOVED that show!
Endless Static same

Anybody remember Hero 108
i do
Yes, unfortunately
yea
so that was the name... i don't know why but i loved that cartoon
all i remember is that i hated it for some reason
So what you're saying is, Cartoon Network is the reason for the existence of abridged series!
I'll fist fight the first sly person to disagree with me
Look up Duel Masters. But yeah, gag dubs are a thing like the ones already mentioned.
that marionette show looked fucking hilarious
+Letter RObo oh my god that sounds amazing and here I thought it was just a Yu-Gi-Oh knockoff
Would you believe me if I said Scar was Ukog, but Ukog's name is spelled backwards and is actually Goku?
okay thank you for confirming the russian movie/ tom and jerry switch. i thought i was tired high when it happend
"...a star wars parody."
Sweet that has never been done before to death.
An example of a star wars parody is spaceballs. I actually like that movie
When I was a kid my mom thought that the stomach from Evil Con Carne was a penis and didn't let me watch that show after that
An odd-looking penis. Then again it was also an odd-looking stomach, but as a penis it would be even more unusual.
Does anyone remember Hero: 108 or Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi? (I know they're not American cartoons)
Shibe Inu I loved Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi! The blue haired one was my first girl crush
yes!!! Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi was a huge favorite of mine! i had the game boy game and everything. do you know what channel it was aired on?? cause i have no idea
Shibe Inu hero 108 was my childhood.
Yes I have a recorded episode of Hero:108 on my old dvr
They were on American channels though
Every single morning my TV guide says CN is airing The Amazing World Of Gumball but when I check it's always just Teen Titans Go and I just switch to Spongebob
sAME-
You get that glitch too?
Channel baiting
I remember stumbling upon one of those thumb movies on TH-cam when I was younger and I remember being so weirded out and entranced by them at the same time. It was an odd experience.
I want to say that I REALLY love Pan's Videos. He goes into so much research and it is truly awesome, reminds me of the work I do for my newspaper. He even goes into quotes said in videos and articles, It is just so awesome.
Am I the only one who thinks the guy from Motorcity looks like Murdoc from Gorillaz?
TheUndeadGamer Nope, I was paying half attention and I thought for a moment that I just witnessed Murdoc slashing a bus with a scythe.
Shiny Wurmple That needs to be in the next part of Gorillaz.
The guy who design the Gorillaz was also working on the show.
Guciom You mean Jamie "Loves Charlie Brown as a superhero" Hewlett?
yep I was thinking the exact same thing i even said to myself, 'is that Murdoc as a superhero?' because that alone sounds awesome
LA CN did had live action shows, i remember Level up, and a Mexican sitcom called "la CQ" but they didn't last long
Well I haven't checked in a while (I don't really watch TV anymore especially since I started secondary school) but in Ireland Cartoon Network still do clog up the schedule with Teen Titans Go on weekdays for a couple hours until around 5 or 6. ^_^
In Argentina we had toonami and adult swim for a while, it was cool.
I remember [adult swim] being a seperate channel than CN in france seeing as CN's schedule near the night is still normal cartoons and when you look its still CN all day.
Why does Princess Natasha look EXACTLY like Word Girl??
Because of the art style?
@@mariajimenafigueroa8311 yeah it really gives me WordGirl vibes
prolly made by the same creator
Grace Zacher cause of the flash animation
I think I remember seeing it too but I don't know I don't remeber it very clearly
Sounds like you're talking about Clementine.
Interesting.
Similar to the color and title error, I was watching CN when all of a sudden a commercial for birth control aired. It featured couple getting undressed and making out, and the tagline was something like "Why should you miss out?"
The big twist? This was immediately after I got back from school at around 2:30 PM.
You mean in the commercial break or in the middle of a program?
Deanna Mittleman dude does anyone remember unedited footage of a bear
Cody Cooper Doing what?
I swear I remember that happening....
Atomic Robo Tesla no it's an adult swim special called unedited footage of a bear it's really a trick the show starts as film of a bear then it turns into a really strange video of a woman running over a clone of herself and calling herself it's just strange and they only air it at around 3am or so
*Raises hand* I remember Grim and Evil and Robot Jones.
Scott The Dick Problem is they drop in and out of them constantly throughout the first movie.
Zebitas Martinex I'm pretty sure that was a nick show probely a signal interruption
I guess your TV provider swapped the feeds. DIRECTV did the same thing with Cartoon Network (East Coast) and USA Network around 2011-2012
Does anyone remember Skunk fu? I think it was on Cartoon Network, but i'm unsure. It was about this Skunk and other animals who did Kung fu...
I do
+William Proto i do know. cw cartoons (kids wb) do get sent to cartoon network
Yes
A production of the Irish studio Cartoon Saloon, who now make Oscar-nominated movies and a beautiful show about puffins narrated by Roy from The I.T. Crowd.
Yes
Duuuude, I loved Nacho Bear! He made me want Doritos every time I watched! 😍😂
Same
11:14 I’m here now because Best Buy are no longer selling films on physical media. 😭
Sad, but true. th-cam.com/users/shortsLLr2z9YD-mw
Does anyone remember Chop Socky Chooks? I randomly remembered it the other day but haven't seen anyone mention it
SpacedOutSketcher dude it aires every day at around 1am alongside with robot boy where i live and i actually like it
Nikola Kraev well, good for you
YES. I've been looking everywhere for someone to mention it. I'm surprised it didn't even make this list.
I used to love that as a little kid, but tried to watch it as an adult and couldn't get through two minutes.
Disappointed you didnt get into Robot Jones. I have a distinct memory of an episode in which he's showering in the boy's locker room at school and electrocutes everyone.
There was an episode like that except the electrocution part. He was scared of getting rust.
*I AN THE BIGGEST ROBOT JONES NERD*
Judging by how much people mentioned Robot Jones in the comments i'm not so sure it's that obscure.
theeredhippopotamus not off the top of my head, but I'm going to look more into this show myself. I love the animation and how it's reminiscent of older shows like School House Rock
I remember an episode that revolved around Robot Jones not being sure which bathroom to use, being a robot, and the eventual solution was that he just used a mechanical closet or something.
I forgot all about Robot Jones!
Who remembers Sheep in the Big City?
me, and it sucked.
I remember it as well it haven't seen it since it was on air
I loved it as a child, I still remember a weird joke. The Sheep gets caught and then the narrator proclaims. Well, fortunately, the sheep escaped during the advert break or something.
CheeseTank12 ✋💖
It was actually one of my favorites as a kid which is a pretty rare opinion.
8:39 and there is "Teena sometimes" from kick buttowski. (I remember they passed two episodes of that show here in Argentina. I got to watch both, but then it dissapeared magically)
5:43 That ultimate nipple twist made me laugh just as hard as the first time I saw it on TV
Evil Con Carne and Billy & Mandy were my childhood.
Blue Nova 360 degrees of chest pain
Pan just curved a creepy pasta
Gamingxpenguins ?
#3 feels not that obscure at all. Grim & Evil aired for a looong time before the shows split, I still remember how the theme song goes despite not having seen it in like 15 years. #7 is the only other one I remember but that one was only around for a short while so, fair enough :P
The only 2 I do remember
-16:40 mentioning the wedgie shorts(some of the shorts but I don't think all of them).
-18:45 him talking about the error color scheme in a regular show episode broadcast.
