I think them getting a demon jackal is a movie in and of himself. Like, where the fuck did you get that thing from? Hahaha

I would have made the scene where the father lost part of his brain more realistic with the roof workers panicking and coming to his aid
I will have included Mrs blaylock as the caregiver to Sciana and had her play a Minor role.
I would have made the scene where a beasts hand come out of the vagina a dream sequence rather than reality
I would have had Margaret give birth to a jackal and inside the jackal is Damien only
I would have shown the devil in a non CGI form during the impregnation scene.
I would not have let Margaret or her sister live and have the alternative scene with the twin sister exist. Because this would not explain the antichrist exist with a twin sister, aunt and mother that is aware of his existence and have them live the rest of their days in an isolated house. Oh and how did father Brennan find them.
The reasoning for the antichrist birth should be about Armageddon not to scare people back to church considering the purpose of the antichrist which is to wreak hell on Earth.

That's a question I asked myself. It left me asking myself so my questions like, is this thing supposed to be the Jackal, where did it come from, did the cultists capture it or did they summon it from Hell?
If this is supposed to be the actual Jackal found in the grave, it certainly didn't look like what is in the original film as it looks too much like a demon rather than a dog.

Nice work here, you mentioned everyone dies in the car accident except Margret . Although it’s not shown after the accident Father Brennan survives as well, he appears in the last scene and also in The Omen where we witness his fate. The first scene in the movie has such a beautiful call back concerning this.
He's unconscious. It didn't mean he was dead.
The jackal part is still a mystery to me but the movie itself was enjoyable and it grabbed your attention, great overview btw!

Look at the whole history of animals throughout the Omen series.
Then Damian didn't born exactly on the 6th day at the 6 hour of the 6th month because when Damien was born he was taken to the hospital and when they switched the babies the clock says 6 6 6
I took it as the beginning of the antichrist's reign on earth by deception.

In the original, the jackal was the MOTHER.
There are no "possessed animals" in the Omen series.

I think they should make this film, The Omen, The Omen: Damien (which was the sequel to the first film) canon and then the studio should remake the third film with Dan Stevens as the Damien in his early 40's trying to capture the world with his power and greed. Then at the end; Margarita, Carlita and the girl (who'll be a grown up) will stop Damien from winning the battle.
Highly doubtful as not only would that be ridiculous to have Margarita be the hero to stop Damien, there is also the fact that any threat to Damien's existence would be instantly eliminated by satanic forces or one of Damien's followers.
That would be great casting having Dan Stevens play Damien. He's very charismatic, but can be scary in the same time, (The Guest).
If they redo Omen 3 and Omen 4, together in one movie, that would be ok for me. Both had good concepts, but the executions were flawed. I could see the twin being the nun in the omen 4.
If they did this; woke Hollywood, would be salivating. They'd hijack the storyline and a grown up Damien would wear a Maga hat.
Don't change the timeline
I'm an OG Omen 1976 fan, and any sequel would have to take place after the end of The Final Conflict, since Damien came and went without ever knowing his mother or sibling. That would have to set in 2004 or so since Damien was 33 when he died.
The best thing about this film is the way they retcon the church into it. This feels like something the church would absolutely try to do if they could

but what makes the Omen 3rilogy SO TERREFYING , BIZARRE and CREEPY is the Fact that Damien's Mother was a Jackal.
if they Would've followed at least with that Weird concept the Movie would had been more sinister and shocking.

@user-he3op5pi6i Truth ... the corporate Disney studios clearly don't know or understand the role the Antichrist plays. He is supposed to usher in Armageddon. That's in the Book of Revelations. Also, there are clear political ties in the Bible, which the original movie picks up on, since Damien is adopted by a diplomatic family.
There’s actually 4 omen films. The fourth one deals with a nun and female antichrist. 💡
Some people were threatening to boycott the movie because they assumed there wasn't even going to be a jackal but some sort of ritual where Margaret just falls pregnant with the Antichrist, so i'm happy that the jackal was still represented in the movie. It's supernatural anyway, just pretend the jackal was female lol

With Damien now having a twin sister they need to remake the sequels ignoring the events of Omen 2 and 3 since no mention of her is made in these films. By the way....you mentioned father Brennan in a potential sequel to the first film (1976) which is impossible since he dies in that one!!!
All the sequels could be left alone and have movies that focus on them hiding from the evil sec of the church, while the evil sec is fighting among the true satanists. Also the twin storyline could be used to add to part 4, or remake it. Honestly, Omen 4 was a tv movie that had a good idea, but needed a better budget and director.

In their determination to take a snipe at the church in the same way Dan Brown did; they've left lore mistakes. The Jackal could have been seen a demon & as a Jackal using demonic fake visions, the multiple babies thing is stupid, as the wall paintings in the 2nd Omen predicts Damien specifically..
Yet again, they've looked to milk another franchise. Twin sister is just Star Wars rubbish.
Exactly. I completely forgot about the mural prophesying Damien's rise in Omen 2 as it shows that The Omen movies were about Damien and not some characters that never existed in the original movies.
The makers of this prequel could have just focused on Satanists preparing to bring forth the antichrist but no, they went full Star Wars with the ending and gave us a twin sister known as Layla which does sound a bit like the name Leia.
If people enjoyed the prequel, that's fine but I will never like this movie because of how they screwed up the ending.
I think it adds to the lore nicely. It never takes away from Damien being the antichrist, but adds more, by showing that he chooses to follow the path place in front of him. There's elements presented in the Omen 2 with that and could be explored more in other films.

Nice breakdown dude, I saw it opening night and really liked it. I think it’s one of the best horror prequels I’ve ever seen, maybe the best.
Wouldn’t make sense to have anymore films with these girls as the omen trilogy spans 31 years to the point where Damien grows up and eventually his demise.
All they have to do is discount them. Eliminate them from canon. I don't think there's official word that they're necessarily going to include them.

In the original "Omen", Damien was BORN OF A JACKAL. This movie is no prequel. It's corporate Disney crap, and a ripoff of Rosemary's Baby.
And the fourth omen film. I still enjoyed it. Not great, nothing special but the last 45 minutes was solid

1. Is the jackal the father of Damien, or the father of Margaret? I thought Margaret and Carlita were the only survivors of that evil conception.
2. How does Paolo fit into this? Is he actually Damien’s father?

Ok get this …… at the end they were playing with the baby and Margaret said give it to mommy. The baby handed the toy to Carlita!!!! 🤯 I don’t think Damion has a twin. Just my thoughts. Cause what was Carlita even doing down there. And the crazy nun drew one baby!!!
Didn’t mind the ending but it did seem a little tacked on & standard so it stuck out. Did not ruin the movie in my opinion. I thought it was brilliant & definitely disturbing & thought provoking
The inconsistencies are many in this movie. So how is it a true prequel to the original Omen? The jackal was the mother in the original, in this it's the father. Another inconsistency is two babies are born. Damien never had a sister. Father Brennan never mentioned he had a 666 birthmark in this movie, but in the original he does.

i was thinking it can be retconned in that they just buried the bones of the jackal in the mothers place to throw off anybody who would try to figure out what happened to the “mother of the baby?” when finding out she wasnt dead? i like the idea of the jackal being the father WAY more.

First half hour is tedious and they altered cannon. It’s worth watching but shouldn’t be attached to the Omen. Instead it’s own loose interpretation of Revelations or whatever
Oh I wasn't sure I had thought that's what this is about but also could have been a remake of it or something this is way better prequel rather than up to now I've always thought that rosemarys baby was a prequel unofficially like that shows where the baby came from obviously one thing was the jackal thing missing but how that one ends obviously either she kept the baby or even if she did or didn't they'd be like we have to give the baby to this family of diplomats so he can have access to the government or after they dye he can go to the president family
I really enjoyed the movie and agree I didn't like.the ending. I felt it didn't fit into the original Omen movie due to there being potentially 4 people with the 666 mark. I would have preferred if they just all died in the fire and Damien only one left.
They're already working on a sequel since before this was released. So far it's called "The Jackal", but that could be a fake out title. Same director.
Hope it's interesting cuz I know an option how could do jackal and like own idea but I'll see as movie gives

Not a bad movie at all..up until the marvel like cinematic universe "anti Christs" assembled ending...had it finished during a certain scene.. brilliant.. instead it just outstayed it's welcome with the main character surviving along with the other two spice girls.. they didn't have the ball's to leave her die a memorable death after such a great performance,i mean I really felt for her up until Nicky Fury arrived to assemble the team

The files they took showed all the attempts they had made to have kids with the mark, marget and carlita were 2 successful ones, seems like they always attempted in June on the 6 at the 6th hr. Hope that helped you
Jackal had them then jackal had Damien with own daughter. Carlita is not Margaret's sister if you go by looks

When the twin was revealed, I thought of omen 4 and she could be used to be Delia's mother.
They could do a sequel to this or even two sequels that would not at all change the events of the original movies. Margaret and family go to London and watch Damien from afar but also sometimes hiding in plain sight. Events could happen that in no way alter original movies. Margaret and er daughter could be observing Damien and mrs. Baylor at the park. The little girl feel a connection to him

I would like to see a power play between the false church and the true satanists, for control over Damien. For example, why the nanny kill herself to be replaced by Mrs. Baylock? Maybe, they weren't from the same organization.
@@ladisneyprincesse It wouldn''t really work. Inventing a twin sister for Damien has really been done to make sure that future sequels have them interacting with each other. Omen 2 and 3 need to be ignored and alternative sequels (common in horror films thesedays) made!

I loved this film and plant see it again at the end of the month. I am so happy that involved the jackal!!!! I tell you watching this with the impregnatiin scene and the followers there it did not disappoint to match up how I imagined it would be. Even the events are a little different if you read the book you get a dark creepy feel about that event. This movie delivered in giving that creepy ambience.
Book verse and movie are diff due to last two books diff than last movies

It was well directed, but the story sucked and broke cannon. The story would have been better if they had stuck to the events in the original. The mother was a jackal and father the devil. Also, the whole conspiracy thing was stupid.

I saw the movie last night. It was absolutely horrible. It was way too long, the story progression was extremely slow. The acting was bad ( I blame the script).the movie was extremely boring.
