This is a re-upload from Thursday, we had to fix a mistake.
Good thing we learned about Temporal Mechanics 101 from Prodigy so you could go back in time and fix that mistake. ⌛⏳
What was the mistake?
Oh good, i was getting deja vu. Like, I know these facts!
@@normalfamily8196 we'll never know, it was removed from the timeline.
@@robsquared2 It must have gotten eaten by something
Time to play “can you guess what got copyright flagged” like finding Waldo but here finding the thigng missing.
Remember when people used to make "fan-made" stuff and companies felt flattered as apposed to violated? They should be flattered if for no other reason then its free publicity.
But what do I know. I miss Blank VHS tapes, blank cassette tapes, TH-cam a decade ago.
@@iindium49 well those tapes could only hold so much information and they were very expensive which limited the ability for most people to use that media unless they had more money versus now you can access that information if you have no money so I would see that you’re not looking at it from any other perspective then what you feel you have lost instead of looking at what the world has gained.
Now almost everybody has the ability to save videos and such on platforms for free, which was not possible before because you also had to have a VHS which only wealthier families had
the Dauntless also had a Galaxy Class in the game Bridge Commander
4:40 "There's no sickbay."
7:07 "Some of the sickbay designs aboard the Dauntless..."
I feel to have a déjà vu with this video ... Oooohh, it's a re-upload
No, no, no, you're brilliant! Starship vids are always cool.
Do they actually NEED a Sick Bay? We already have Holographic Doctors. Why can't the Holodeck be used as a full feature Sick Bay if needed?
What happens in emergency situations when you have limited power?
You'd have no sickbay.
@@SturdivantRacing126 P much this, yeah. Holodecks need a ton of power, more so than sickbay
@@SturdivantRacing126 It has been established in a few situations that the holodecks have an independent power supply. That may not be always the case, though.
Sick Bay's just extra weight they don't need.
They need a physical sickbay because whether or not it has it's own power supply any little glitch can cause that to fail and suddenly everything in the room suddenly disappears. It's like asking why have a hull when forcefields exist?
What if Arturis is just a Spherebuilder from the 26th century trying to find ways to disrupt the timeline like they did in enterprise, and used a design that he had seen in the 26th century to lure Voyager towards it with knowledge that they would attempt to use the slipstream technology on it to, causing Voyager to crash onto the planet and never return to the Alpha Quadrant, leading Starfleet to a period of technological stagnation and allowing the Spherebuilders to overpower them in the 26th century. What if by Voyager surviving, Arturis ended up creating the very ship class he saw in the 26th century due to his failure.
He didn't look Tuterian, though.
Let me guess the Original got taken down due to copyright?
ah I thought I already saw it lol
Wonder what it was.
lol, you never know. Its easy to upload wrong information or critical information that was possibly missed. Trek Culture doesn't talk bad about CBS so they have CBS blessing. Ive notice that CBS flags AngryJoe way more for the same content that Trek Culture uses. Especially when it came to Picard. And AngryJoe has complained about being flagged for content that other users utilize too.
@@anthonygordon9483 What would you expect from someone that has "angry" in their name?
@@GabePuratekuta hopefully someone who is blunt and critical and doesnt care about company incentives.
Thought I had watched this earlier, but it didn't show that I had.
Loved it!!! 🤠👍
I wish there was an explination of the diferences in speed between the dauntless which would take 3 months to reach earth, and voyagers attempt at slipstream where it was seeming to take hours. Also a comparison of speed of slipstream, transwarp, and what whatever protostar used.
After the original series, before the animated series, (77?) I remember getting a book of Star Trek Ships, and one was (as near as I can recall... memory ) a three Nacelled Dreadnought. (The first I think.) I'd love to see a history of Nacelles: One, two, three, four, more(?), floating/unattached.
As always, thank you all so very much for the videos.
I thought TAS was around 72-73?
@@GabePuratekuta You're correct. In hindsight my guess was based on my trying to remember if I drove to the store, or had to get a ride. So it was probably well before 1977. (I did say "77?") Thank you for catching my err.
Are you referring to the Federation/Star League classes of ships? I don't know if those were ever canonized.
@@ruskiwaffle1991 could be, it was long ago, and I'm sure it probably wasn't "canonized.'
@@grahamcann1761 The Star Trek Star Fleet Technical Manual from 1975 had a listing for different ships including the Federation Class Dreadnought and various registry numbers. Perhaps that's the book you recall? I lost my book long ago, but you can find a pdf of it on the internet archive.
I thought I was having a stroke or something, I kept telling myself I had already seen this and was very confused until I saw it was a reupload. I'm glad I'm not completely crazy !
So was the reupload just to fix the Procyon 5 thing where in the original you showed a Promethius class? 4:21
Yep :)
Thanks.
One of my favorite ship designs
Prodigy was so unfulfilling that I fell asleep while I watched the first episode. A few days later I tried again and the show was removed from the streaming service I had. I did not feel like I missed out on much.
I like the back end and Nacelles of her ship and the front of his.
Admiral Janeway could have command USS ENTERPRISE-F be cool shawn❤
Dauntless is a really Trek name for a ship. I wonder what happened to the class by the time of Picard.
You would think Janeway's Dauntless would have been created with long voyages in mind. What I mean is, if it's slipstream drive was say destroyed or damaged beyond repair and all the crew had was say Voyagers warp 9.9 7 5 and you're stuck in the delta quadrant like voyager was, may be a while before you run in to another ship like it.
I get the impression the ship is meant to be like the Archangel class in Dan Simmon's Hyperion Cantos--a super fast stripped down utilitarian ship that can quickly reach distant places to deliver important messages or personnel before retreating again. The size and utility of the ship suggest its a fast scout or messenger rather than a ship people are meant to be on for long journeys.
It seems to me that the ship isn't designed to stick around long enough to be a target. We have ships in the real world built for speed that aren't designed for long journey's. Ships built for long journey's tend not to be fast. There are sacrifices that have to be made for speed or longevity.
Here's a funny thought: Janeway goes and salvages the original ship from the Borg.
Excelent!
Still waiting on that USS Pasteur video...
🖖
I swear I watched this episode the other day
Nodge = Abbreviation for Nodule, which oddly enough has the same number of letters. Still abbreviation given that its only one syllable compared to two.
No sickbay, then a scene in sickbay?
for sure prefer the new dauntless and i love a model of it from fanhome just hope a second party can get hands on them
The number of people who don't read the description astounds me.
Or the pinned comment either.
They must be gamers.
TH-cam doesn't exactly have descriptions extremely prominent. They aren't visible before clicking the video, they are collapsed when the video starts and the video itself is the main feature. I literally never ever read any TH-cam video description unless the video itself calls out that there is something there that i care about (like links to other videos or more context etc.) And even then 99% of the time the descriptions are littered with garbage like links to other social media sites, Patreon, hash tags, credits and other ways to donate.
ship spoilers should be a channel!!!
I wonder if the Federation turning it into a real design is insult or flattery to Arturis.
Is this a repost a video from earlier this week or am I prescient?
I read NCC-80486 🤷♂
It has a holodeck.... it has a sickbay ;)
Repost 😮
Oh bless your heart, have a lollipop 🍭
All the people saying "It has a Holodeck, it has a sickbay!", erm, have you guys actually ever watched a holodeck episode? You know, where something goes wrong and the holodeck becomes a deathtrap, or characters inside take over the ship, or programs going awry and trying to kill the characters? No? Well, there's your homework, I wouldn't trust a holodeck to be a sickbay... :P
At this point, I wouldn't trust it to be a source of entertainment, let alone a sickbay
Wounder you can Command USS Prostar in Star Trek Adventures.😅❤❤
Still trying to figure out what's going on at the back of the arrow head
Holodeck technology has probably advanced so far by this point that the ship wouldn’t necessarily need a physical sickbay.
You know what grinds my gears? Why didnt voyager make several slipstream jumps instead of a sustained flight?
In what I can remember, the benemite crystals at the heart of the slip stream drive were already starting the degrade. Perhaps they wouldn't have withstood several small jumps
Hi shawn ī read artcles from Prodgy Admiral Janeway almost command heroship USS ENTERPRISE-E but it was her idea Voyager-A she commanded USS PROMBŪTNES. I cant wait TimeAgent Wesley Crusher makes comeback.
The emperor's a time agent!?
I thought it was NCC 80085
Not so sure about the message on that shirt😢
Well, since "Andromeda" TV series was a Rodenberry show and was supposed to be the Ultimate End Product of Star Trek and the High Guard is what Starfleet morphed into. So the High Guard ships all traveled thru Slipstream was this meant to be the Beginning of Star Fleet becoming the High Guard?
I don’t want to think that anything which has to do with that narcissist sociopath Kevin Sorbo has any tangible connection to Star Trek. That man completely derailed everything Andromeda was building up just to make the show all about *himself!*
@@Popcultureguy3000 That and his Conservative ramblings on Twitter is I think why he hasn't had a job in over 20 years.
@@GabePuratekuta He’s just a narcissist no one wants to work with. It’s rare to find someone in the industry with an ego as big as the worst entertainment industry caricatures you could see on tv and movies.
@@Popcultureguy3000 True. The pro-Trump stuff on Twitter doesn't help things.

An arrowhead design so that it’s super aerodynamic in the vacuum of space. Ok….
Deja Vu
Disappointed that the lack of a view screen in the original fake Dauntless is never mentioned lol.
Whats the deal with the number 47 and star trek?
It’s prime number, appears a lot in trek shows
@@StarMandoForge there are a lot of prime numbers but specifically is special about the number 47 that they use it so often as Easter eggs in 90s trek is what I'm asking?
@@Soul-cry1 It was an in-joke that started in the writers room of TNG and they kept it going during the Berman-Era (DS9 didn't have it as much though). Prodigy and Lower Decks have paid homage to this in-joke very well!
Ah multiple bots with the same 🍑 pfp. Gotta love it.
The Fed version is hideous, the back section is just jarringly ugly. Theres no reason to not make a straight copy with the smooth curving back.
Yeah, I'm not watching this again.
Oh bless your heart, have a lollipop 🍭
I am
Spoiler alert, dude.
crucify me, but, probably one of the ugliest ships in modern Trek.
No thanks. I don't even have any nails.
I get reverse engineering for Starfleet purposes, but using a verrrrry similar ship design and exact bridge layout as the ship that tried to hand deliver you to the Borg....Stockholm syndrome much? lol
Starlets shape is horrible looking. They should have kept as close to the original as possible.
Agree i hate the new design
