    I agree 100%. There is no time going through the "building trust & audience" process first. Don't sell yourself, sell the benefits and possible results of your course.

    Looks like I built an audience first😂. Let’s see if I can finally create another source of revenue besides ad rev. This video was brilliant.

    That was AWESOME. I was taught this method a few years back in an excellent course on how to create online courses, but your high-level explanation was even better.
    Only tweak I would make is to explain what 'evergreen' is, vs 'live'.

    Hi Gillian, I am new to your channel listening first time here.
    I completely agree with everything you said because I am a tertiary educator with 15 years experience. I haven’t created online courses to sell because of all the reasons you said.
    I find the method you are talking about makes more sense. Valuable information to know thank you.
    I want to add that for me it’s not just about the money. I want my customers to find value in my courses. I want my courses to transform their lives that’s what I did as a face to face teacher.
    Yes technology is what stops me. 😅

    Think about how we ourselves buy something. We are attracted to the item through either an advertisement or just because we know about it and what the item does for them. Not because of the brand but the brand does sometimes solidify the sale so it's not that the brand is not important but the person is going to buy the product if they want the product no matter where it comes from. I've written numerous articles about this and brand loyalty is just not as important as it used to be.

    I have a couple of questions. 1. Do you think it’s ok to be v low tech as in this video ie using a flip chart pad rather than complex graphics. 2. How do you know how much to charge for a course for maximum income. V cheap might attract lots of people as it’s a no-brainer and there’s no financial loss. More expensive might put people off. Many thanks.

    Watching this video has motivated me to make my first course. I'm a real estate investor and buy off market discounted properties every month, we average 50K a month net per flip. I never even thought about showing others how easy this is to do until now. Best of all this can be done even part time. I don't flip them I manage the projects. Interested in the course? Let me know I will have it ready Dec 2024. William Dauria

    You do not have to have a big audience or following before you launch a product. You just have to imagine in your mind who your target audience is and then build products you know they will love.

    I have a niche that I am thinking about creating a course for. It would be based on what I have done to earn a full time income since 2011. But I don't how I would go about determining if there is enough demand for this niche. Can anyone offer any ideas about determining market size?

    Hey Gillian, I plan on making an ESL course for children, therefore it would be very difficult to launch a BETA course. My only option in this case would be to make an Evergreen Course, correct? Thank you so much for the content, it has been so helpful!

    • @aban2169
      @aban2169 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm confused; why would it be difficult? You just enrol a few kids at a discount price as the beta group, teach the course, and get their feedback. Then improve it and go do it for real.

    This kind of contradicts how Universities work since they over promise and always under deliver. I could not recommend anyone the path I took because of the mediocre results I got from their education even though I was a serious, committed student. So how is it that Universities are still alive after such substandard results for all the education their students got???
