I ordered my first pair last week. They are literally, on my porch, waiting for me to get off of work, right now. Can't wait to try them out. I can't afford any more of them. But, hopefully, they will last. Thanks for this review. Made me feel better about my purchase.
Certainly one of the more entertaining video ads I’ve watched lately. Great to see Alan doing well. Definitely going to do some in depth research on these pants as the Falljhaven are so expensive.
Have had a pair for just over two years. Great pair of pants. They work great in hot, cold, and in wet weather. My go to pair of pants for anything outdoors.
My three pairs of expeditions arrived today and wow I've never been so stupidly excited about pants lol at any rate I'm very pleased at how well made and solid this pant is and I don't risk ripping them because they stretch I'm so happy thnx guys
Had to jump in before watching the end. I wear these pants every day. I rotate 4 pairs 3 ranger green and black and one pair ranger green. One pair is showing a worn 1st layer of knee material and I blew the crotch out of another pair. At $90.00 per pair it's alot of money. My advice spend the money. The first time you put them on you won't be disappointed. I do construction work and needed a pair of pants that would work with me and hold up. I didn't want to spend $90.00 a pair, but the important thing for me was I don't regret it. I live in so. Cal and I have never seen anyone else with these pants. There different and I guess other pants are half the price but if you're serious about your uniform as I am the options, the build and cool factor is 2nd to none.
Good looking pants. I do prefer side cargo pockets because I don't like gear riding on my quads, but I"m glad you moved away from the cotton at least somewhat. It's surprisingly common to see supposed outdoor pants built for hypothermia because they're all cotton. About 10 years ago I slide a couple rectangles of yoga mat or thin foam from packing material inside the knees of all my double pants and have never looked back. It's thin enough to move, takes the edge off of kneeling on rock or the bed of my truck to pull something out, and they're waterproof for kneeling in the snow or mud. Sometimes they get folded or wrinkled in the laundry, but I never take them out anymore.
I have these pants and I love them! I also have the Fjall Raven Vidda Pro trousers and honestly, the Tru Spec pants seem to be more robust in construction and more thought out in terms of design and use. I am always bummed when I am reminded that the Fjall Ravens don't have back pockets and even the cargo pockets are only secured shut with a single button in the middle of the pocket. I always worry my wallet will fall out of the side cargo pocket. If I can find the grey and black color Tru Spec pants, I will be buying a couple more pairs.
Hi there! Just want to point out few things here, got a pair time ago and can say that they WOULD BE most perfect hiking/tactical pants on market probably, IF they got stupid triple stitching on crotch area and also on bottom of cargo pockets! Mine ripped on crotch just after wearing them for couple of times, and I also seen people complaining about same thing on multiple discussions. Same for that pockets, mine are most of times same fully loaded like here on video, but got holes in bottom after couple of months over there too. Those are so simple things to improve I guess and here we go, best possible pants with best price tag! I love them to the death anyways, i sewed everything and they re good to go, but I still think that we shouldnt be sewing them ourselfs after couple of wearings, but we should receive triple stitched pants from manufacturer, especialy when they re tactical/outdoor heavy duty pants. I was contacting company about that and they said they will send it "upstairs", but thats it.
and also just little spot, when showing whats in pockets it would be much more trusted to show things in raw footage, not cuted, cos video is cutted the most on that part and some people can think its not actually real, or its fake.. but I know from my experience that you can pack so much into them.
They are on sale at Botach for $35. I'm gonna grab a few pairs. I'm a dickies guy, but was thinking I might try these out. They are the "tactical" version of these pants.
I have been wanting a pair for awhile,so thank you for the info.I have only watched 2-3 of your videos and just thought you two were a couple of hill fellas who were friends.
I live in mine too. I bought some after watching a Kay video a couple of years ago. Botach has them on sale at times for $60. The only downside is they are not chainsaw proof, I have scar on my knee to prove it :)
Alright SERIOUS question. How does the sizing run? I usually wear a 34, except for those times I wear a 33 or a 36 because nobody in textiles can measure for sh*ť 😁 Sold on the bungee band and mag holder. I swap IWB/OWB sometimes multiple times a day and always have my AR in evenings in case of coyote invasion around the farm. Fish and game doesn't take kindly to a loaded weapon on an ATV so that would save me from carrying a pouch in my belt. I've bought other britches JUST because of a little spandex and a phone pocket! I like these.
And they say camping and outdoors is boring?!!!!😂🎉 Gotta make your own fun out here!!! That's half the FUN!!! 😂🎉🏕️ Looking for some good gear, got an amazing fashion show As well!! 😂🎉
Appreciate the video and recommendation. These things feel great, just wearing them after the first wash. Fits true to size (I’m a 38-40 x 30 inseam, ordered 40x30, great on the length and waist). Waiting to try them in hot weather. Question for J: are you going to the May class in GA with Alan K and GrayBeardedGreenBeret?
Big question! where does the belt ride. i wear holster belt on hips. pants need to ride there also Without the inseam riding down around the knees. that much pants destroys movement, comfort. higher crouch means not having to pull up legs to high step with ease. 🤔
ive watched this before but have sense learned of a way to water proof them. Check out nighthawklight channel about waterproofing. he uses clear silicon mixed with water then dries it into the material like oil cloth if i remember right. might effect the breath ability but if you have a pair for warm and a pair for cold i think your covered. i own a pair of waterproof pants and have served me well for many years but i cant buy anymore as they discontinued.
I'm a big fan of the Xpedition pants for cool weather but they are too heavy for hot temperatures. Tru-Spec has lighter weight pants that I use for summer.
I just ordered three pairs for me and my two boys we will be surviving in the mountains of B.C. because we refuse to be slaves to the new order that's coming into view in 2021-2030 and a good pair of pants are needed
These pants remind me of the ones bear Grylls they have the same innovations Matter of fact true spec copies a lot of manufactures out there and then out sources for the cheapest material and stitch work

Thank you for your honesty and honest review. It is really appreciated and as The Outdoor Gear Review would say : Strength and honor
Have had a pair for just over two years. Great pair of pants. They work great in hot, cold, and in wet weather. My go to pair of pants for anything outdoors.
Your a shoreline my brother Alan. We are birds of a feather. God bless
I have 12 pairs and my wife has 6. We love them. 1 year in and they still look and feel new of daily wear.
I have to replace my rothco pants every 6 months do to holes , these are my next purchase
@@GMC05 did you get a pair of these? Did they survive 6 months?
Thanks for all the humour and levity! Now to go and check them out!! Life is Good!!
Yall are awesome! Two of my favorite people on earth!
Thanks John!
Only one minute in and I’m crying 😂
My three pairs of expeditions arrived today and wow I've never been so stupidly excited about pants lol at any rate I'm very pleased at how well made and solid this pant is and I don't risk ripping them because they stretch I'm so happy thnx guys
Yep, they are good pants, been wearing Ranger Green version for several years
You guys are hilarious. Love the review and comedy. Thank you.

bought a pair last night to try out...thank you gentlemen.
Great stuff. Love seeing you guys having fun!

Received mine a few days ago! I really like these pants! Thanks for the review! I’ll probably order a few more
Alan is the original Tactical Santa!
😂😂😂😂😂😂 he pulled of his shirt and i almost fell over laughing😂😂
I have those same reading glasses and didn’t know the ear peace extended
They are on sale at Botach for $35. I'm gonna grab a few pairs. I'm a dickies guy, but was thinking I might try these out. They are the "tactical" version of these pants.
"Those pants hug all the right places" Man you caused me to spit my morning coffee out! LMFAO!
Awright. I’ve had my eye on these for some time. Now I have to get some.
Guess I’m going to need a catwalk, too.
I have been wanting a pair for awhile,so thank you for the info.I have only watched 2-3 of your videos and just thought you two were a couple of hill fellas who were friends.
But we are hillbillies and friends. I think you nailed it!

I see Alan has a backpack in both front pockets.
Keeps the back clear for other things.
I wore mine yesterday. Great pant

As far as I can tell they are true to size.
-Jason
They sit low on the waist. As a 38, I found the 40 to fit much more comfortably than the 38.
Do they make a pair of shorts this way or a convertible pair
The show...is GOOD!
I have two pair, wear them at work most comfortable pants I own
You to dudes crack me up thank you for the video
I’m curious how they do in hot dry environments, Tx summers are brutal & winters are cold, windy.
You guys rock!!!!
Thanks!
@@ONThree you guys talked me into ordering two pairs of the pants! Love your guys content! Lots of help! Thanks for all you do!
Ill be ordering some!
And they say camping and outdoors is boring?!!!!😂🎉
Gotta make your own fun out here!!! That's half the FUN!!!
😂🎉🏕️
Looking for some good gear, got an amazing fashion show
As well!! 😂🎉
🤣🤣 Wowzers! Way to work the runway, guys! Bravo hahaha
Grat review guys but more importantly where can I get those 007 glasses? Folding and a case, I'm in!
Nate
"Elastic-iness"......ha, ha......ELASTICITY, my friend.

Hahaha ... I don't usually comment but that intro made me laugh my face off. Thanks for the unexpected hit of humour :)
I love this channel- you guys are so informative & you crack me rite the hell up😂🤣
I would absolutely love these pants but, sadly, I cannot afford $90 for a pair of pants ...
Once again, another Alan Kay ism "You had one job". With respect to the "magazine" interpretation. Such a funny pair
That intro had me dying guys. Hilarious!
Just ordered a pair tan ones
These are my 24/7/365 pants and except for my suit, these are the only type of pant/shorts I own.
Big question! where does the belt ride. i wear holster belt on hips. pants need to ride there also Without the inseam riding down around the knees. that much pants destroys movement, comfort. higher crouch means not having to pull up legs to high step with ease. 🤔
😳😳😳😳alan where did you get the glasses from????
How do they do in thorns?
Not bad at all. The stretchy parts will hang up a bit but never had any damage.
-Jason
Lol needed a laugh and got that in the first 30 seconds
Me too...lol nice bums guys... lol
I do love True Specs pants. It appears that Alan's been practicing on the catwalk.
Good choice with the magazine though. Mother Earth News!
They need to make them for tall guys. I'm 6'7" and these pants would just be
"gutter walkers" for me.
Sold!
My wife says I look really sexy in mine.😂
Those are cool pants!
what country are these manufactured in?
For me kitanica gen 1,2, etc and first tactical v2 pants and vertx defiance jeans is all i will where
What is an ifac?
What kind of boots are Alan wearing?
I would like to know as well. They look like there is built-in shin protection. They look like LaCrosse.
You guys are a mess! Alan, I didn't know you were involved in the development of those pants when I ordered mine. Love my TruSpec pants. Rob
I love em.
Nearly threw a hernia the first couple of minutes laughing so hard! Quick question, how do they handle briars and brambles?
that was awesome 😂 i want those pants👍!!
😂😂😂😂that ending though!😂😂😂
Lol, I can never unsee this😂😂😂
Do you make the cargo pants for women?

Mamma likey!!! 🤣😂💛✨
My question is. Are they true to size? I would hate to order them then have to pay shipping to return them for a different size.
I have found them to be true to size. Check their website for more info.

@@ONThree Great Ty. Too many are not...
They make u legs look bulky. Do u carry stuff everywhere? In town? Lil Red
So much in those pockets. Bug out pockets?
No high heels ?
only 1 word....hilarous :D :D
Great pants, but the zipper is way too small.
At 6'9" and a 38" inseam I'm left out yet again!
👍
Officer..have you got any weapons on you? Yes sir shitloads
Funny as hell!
Oh my goodness! You are hilarious!
Women’s sizes, please?!?( I wear a 2, so the men’s are not going to work.....)
Great review...lol
What's your view on boots , and mud/dick boots, also cold weather boots? The comedy is actually funny!
They need to make underwear like the pants.
They should name them "Ballthighers".
These pants remind me of the ones bear Grylls they have the same innovations
Matter of fact true spec copies a lot of manufactures out there and then out sources for the cheapest material and stitch work
I have the shorts.
왁스를 바를수 있나요?
Probably. I’ve applied beeswax onto my canvas bags
"You can tell by the way I use my walk, I'm a woman's man, no time to talk... stayin' alive stayin' alive"
Jesus you guys are halious
I wanna drink a beer or 12 with Alan
Just FYI. If you got you some THICC legs, these are a bit tight.
is it pant or pants?
Efffin hilarious
Jeez . . . guess I'll be buying some. Looked up a review on the finished product. Here it is: th-cam.com/video/E3BbtriXGr0/w-d-xo.html
