Great pants! I don't have the Expedition pants but I do have 5 pairs of their 24/7 tactical pants and 2 pairs of the shorts, it's literally all I wear for pants and shorts. Could not be happier with their products.
I have had a pair of these for about 6 months now, first saw Alan Kay review them, and I wear the hell of out of them, very well made and strong, tough pants made to be worn outdoors, people ask me about them all the time, and they seem pretty warm for the winter. The side mesh air vents and the cuffs at the bottom are great!, And so is the review!
I have had 2 pairs of the expedition pants. The first I bought were green and black. I have worn these on 5 hikes ranging from 10 to 18 miles. The fit on my first pair was perfect. The second pair were completely different and not very comfortable at all, so I stored them for later use. My green e d black pants were hand washed and treated Luke gold because the fit was so perfect but after all the babying I gave them they turned out to be a 5 use pant. I still must say that the fit was amazing but the durability was extremely poor, and I'm not hard on a pant. I have since sought other options since my 24/7 pants failed me so miserably. I went to Wal-Mart and found a pair of pants that are flexible as well as stretchable. These pants are bulletproof and cool in the heat of summer. I really hate that my 24/7 expeditions didn't work out but there has been far too much variance in manufacturing and the quality is just sub par. Nice try guys ! Hope you get the problems sorted out and you can keep sizes consistent.
I ordered a pair just after seeing your video. They arrived twos days later. Great delivery. They look and fit very well. True to size. I’m wearing them on a moderate hike tomorrow. I’ll leave another comment on them. But they look and feel great. Love all the features.
I'm not sure if the pair I got is 24 7. But I found a pair of Tru-Spec pants at my local thrift shop brand new. I paid only $20. I beat the hell out of them in my games and hiking. I wear them during winter time the most and they keep me warm with no tight heaters on. It's double padded on the knee. So it can take some pain.
I also like Canadian Prepper's review of Zapt pants with the built in adjustable knee pads for about the same price. These might fit in better in town, they don't look as battle ready. I wonder about the spandex or stretchy panels though, would they fray easily? I know one thing, we have a lot of hounds tongue in Montana where I hike and the spandex material would attract the velcro-like seeds like a magnet.
I think these are a definite improvement over the regular TRU-SPEC pants. I wish they would make both thigh pockets zippered, because I’ve had contents fall out many times.
I've been wearing Tru Spec 24/7 pants for many years in law enforcement. They were issued to us. They have taken a beating. I have literally seen blood repel off of them. They've been in fight after fight and 1 pair has a tiny rip. I'm a hardcore believer in the quality of pants that Tru Spec make. There are other great companies out there but i really think you can't get better pants for the money. I just ordered 2 pairs of these for hiking and camping. Can't wait to try them out. If they hold up like my 24/7 tacticals, I'll be completely overjoyed!!
Excellent! I'm waiting for pants that are thorn and bur proof preferably with water proof knees so when having to kneel in wet or damp conditions the rest of the pants aren't effected and your body doesn't get chilled. Went hunting this year and the blackberry bushes were really thick where I was and the hunting pants I had just couldn't stop thorns from penetrating. It was like getting hung up in barbwire.
these pants are great to have air flow, flow through the pants. however, the stitching seems come undone fairly easily and the crotch rips easy. plus side is that they are under a warranty. I'm on my third pair since sept 2017. also ,the knee pad areas need revision too. they are to large for the couple of different style pads that go into these slots causing the pads to move around. for the price,I wouldn't go to hard on them
You mentioned they stretch on the side, my question is do they fit true to size or run larger or snug. That way I know to order a size smaller if needed. Thanks for any input!
TRU-SPEC Awesome! Thank you guys. Glad Ben did a review because now I'll be getting a few pairs, they seem super functional and comfortable for a fair price too.
BlackRifle Survival the fit is fantastic, very tru ro size, if you are in between lengths get the longer ones cuz the length is exact. Really comfortable n look fantastic.
For clarity, not trying to be a dick about that; however, not disclosing sponsored content is probably the next big thing TH-cam is going to start hammering channels about. (And it's supposedly required by the FTC.) I do enjoy seeing new stuff like this, but at the same time, it does get old having a bunch of channels all release sponsored content at the same time.
We have other customers that wear a 36inch inseam try the "Long" on these and have come back to tell us they fit great! May be something you can look into.
Point One: The link provided by the producer of this video does not allow for me to order your product in a "long" option. Point two: Why not just tell us what the inseam is for your "long" option? Point three: Where would I go to find "long" option for the product in this video? I am happy you seem to care. Thanks.
These pants suck , bought 2 pairs one being the camo wore them twice went to kneel down and ripped the inseam right under the zipper not well made at all sweet design though just bad execution
Buy these on Amazon! amzn.to/2Bpm1md
How did they fit compared to normal sizes

agreed.

Also the prices have gone down a lot since I bought my pair, and I want more pairs!

They are definitely awesome.
Oh no! I don't see another comment, did you make it back from the trip alright, or did the coyotes get ya? =D
How'd you like them?
They sure did their homework designing these pants. Thank you for the review. Ben
No kidding. I've had nothing like them before.
I love Tru-Spec....I use the shorts and pants. I work in the 24/7 pants daily. Looking forward to checking these out!
Yes! Thank you Ben for reviewing these pants. I know it's hard, but try to review an item from each "tactical clothing" brand.
thanks.
You had me at cooling flaps! Seriously i like the extra space in the pocket for your pocket knife
LOL :)
Hahaha =D

deal.
Very crisp & informative - I snagged a pair using your “A” site - Thanks, Ben!
thanks!
Good looking pants I will try them soon. I been wereing Blackhawk for years
DO IT!
For the price i think i would rather go with the Crye G3 Field pants or the Fjallraven Vidda Pros. They look comfortable though.
Fjallraven are for skinny dudes who like tight pants.
Living Survival or for short dudes that regular pants look ridiculous on
Emilio
Problem with Fjallraven is getting the size correct.

I just bought these as an alternative to FR. For $65 no way is Fjallraven an option.
Basic law enforcement trainees wear those in my area. Great clothing!

i like those pants cp showed as well.
Very cool review of a even cooler products.
Tru Spec makes good pants.
That they do.
Joseph Robinson makes good comments.
Thanks Ben I'll check them out.....Look cool.
DO IT!
Try the polartec level 1 & 2 Gen iii ECWCS trousers for warm long underwear fyi grid fleece is awesome!!!
the level 1 are known as silkweight...
I’ll be ordering some! Thanks for sharing.
DO IT!
Nice pants, like the styling and features! I disagree with the overpriced comments!
Overpriced is different for everyone.
I think these are a definite improvement over the regular TRU-SPEC pants. I wish they would make both thigh pockets zippered, because I’ve had contents fall out many times.
agreed.
Thanks for the info Ben ,just what I'm looking for, great review as always
Atb John
Best ever made i love them
Is the material loud? Looking for a lightweight option for a hunting pant with knee pads for temps in 70-90 degrees.
Really nice pants but you can buy four pairs of military surplus BDUs for the same price. Thanks for the review!
These are much more vesatile than BDU surplus pants!
Do you recomend those for hiking?
The ladies say these pants make my butt look both rugged and tactical.
How would these be for abrasion resistance in construction?
Too bad they don't have the big in big & tall :-/ Only go to 44 waist on Amazon... lemme go check their website.
Ben, have you tried the accent pants they make? Been wearing the accent series for about a year and half that love them.
i haven't.
The Ascent Pants are crazy comfortable!
very cool pants, you could put a big Anker power bank in that phone pocket I bet
yep.

I wear mine ALL the time and they do take a beating. Doubt I will use any other pants.

Erik22552 did you see Canadian preppers pant video? I might get some of those due to the knee pads.
No I have not! I'll go check it out pronto. Thanks man!
You also forgot the lace clips on the front of the pants for holding them to the boot.
How does the waist size run....i know some tactical pants I have to get in a larger size than my normal pants they seem to run a little smaller
LRRP69 true to size
My waist is 35 Long 40. Which size I should order? Please help
they are true fit.

Do they make these in women's ?

@@Truspec1125 what size measures 26” or more in the thigh? I can’t find thigh sizing anywhere on your website
I love camo pants cause they hide shit stains when accidents happen!
KBABIN941 like when Bigfoot is chasing you?
the good guy exactly!
Where are these made?
I bought a brand new pair of Wrangler's jeans on sale for $17.
"just like these"
Nothing Like These!
To bad they don’t have these in size 6x, I’ll buy them fast...
Does it have pockets for knee pads?
Larry Tanner no
I would really like to see tactical cargo pants that have a slimmer leg. I hate how baggy tactical pants are.
Crye G4 pants are cut to be a close fit. But they cost a lot for pants
And, as usual from so many channels, missing the "sponsored content" tag.
For clarity, not trying to be a dick about that; however, not disclosing sponsored content is probably the next big thing TH-cam is going to start hammering channels about. (And it's supposedly required by the FTC.)

Will the knees accept foam pads? If not they missed the boat!
Yes.
Nice pants for you short guys. As usual Tru-Spec has no desire to clothe us giants... Duluth we must stay.
What size pants do you wear?
42X36.... Strong side Tight End
We have other customers that wear a 36inch inseam try the "Long" on these and have come back to tell us they fit great! May be something you can look into.

you certainly don't have to buy from my link although I appreciate the support. maybe try their website or an alternate website for the long version.
Dammit... I looked.
I just did
I'll stick with 511
too bad they don't come in snow camo
lol, yeah.
These came out in June and we're already looking at expanding with new patterns and color options!
Send me a pair
These pants suck , bought 2 pairs one being the camo wore them twice went to kneel down and ripped the inseam right under the zipper not well made at all sweet design though just bad execution
i've been wearing them hard for a month or so and have yet to have any abrasion, rips or tears. they will most likely replace them?
