Shoes are very important in recovery process. And stretchy clothes work when issues with health as easy on and off plus they move with you.

It is FUN getting cards & letters in the mail! Email, texting its fun but there is something special about opening the mailbox & finding something other than BILLS!

People who have never had back surgery or back pain really cannot relate to how much time it can take to rebound. After you’ve felt bad for sooo long and have a successful surgery, you feel like a huge weight has been lifted and you want to jump right back into living a normal life. Our bodies are remarkable creations. However, any surgery takes time to allow for healing from the inside out. There are also LOTS of muscles in the back that will scream “pace yourself”. 😄 So glad you have realized this. Thanks for bringing us up-to-date. When in doubt, ask! 😘😘

So proud of you for walking and I get to enjoy the scenery also. I had to learn to walk again three years ago and I learned not to take it for granted.

Looks like a sweet place in which to recover. Yes, a backpack is a great way to carry light items. It's lovely that you can get out and walk as you heal. Especially when there are places to sit when needed. You are a smart guy - We trust that you are hearing the messages from both your medical team & your body. It's going to be so great to get back to Olive and one day at a time you are getting closer to that day.
Hopefully everything with Olive it's settled down now and you can concentrate on getting healthy

A good night's sleep makes all the difference in the world. You look good Jimmy! I'm sorry something happened that involved Olive and am glad things are back to normal. I hope Cele still has her. Sometimes some of the tribe members visit her and we get to see Olive. Oak Park and River Forest are beautiful. I meet two friends every so often at Winberrie's for lunch. Keep your good attitude and you'll make it through this :)

It's good you know now to take it a bit slower, so you don't mess yourself up, after having gone through that surgery. Marigolds are a nice flowers because they do last a long time. I wait for the sales too; I can't stand to pay the full price of things. I would think it's a great idea now especially, to have good shoes to wear & your's are a very good brand. I don't like sweats either, but I bum around my home in them, but never go out with them on either. Jimmy, you know what you're doing, so you're fine. We need bumble bees everywhere again, there used to plenty of them, but not anymore; they are so beneficial. They are the only insect that pollinates lima beans. Small world; I love oriental food. What a pretty little town...love those fall flowers... our real fall weather starts tonight with 60 in the morning and dropping to 50ish at nights and 70ish this net week. 49 Sunday night week i think. Sorry you was not feeling well for a couple days...Glad to see your smiling and happy today...it is hard to handle stress...

I’m glad you have pants with elastic waist and comfy shoes. I have had tons of surgeries in my lifetime and I am very big on soothing, soft, stretchy, easy to dress oneself clothing. I like the neighborhood where you are staying. Beautiful video of nature around you, too! I LOVE taking pictures of flora and fauna and spiderwebs, and even interesting shadows and patterns.

I love it that you are doing so well. Walking, I’m sure is good exercise. Your face look like maybe you have lost some weight.? One of my favorite flowers to grow are marigolds & I loved those morning glories. One yr I grew some blue ones they were gorgeous,so thanks for shearing those! I have anxiety too. Glad you’re feeling better, it’s hard but taking it easy now means you won’t have worse problems down the road. Listen to your doctor and physiotherapist , they know what they are talking about pretty much. It helped in my case that my doctor also had back problems so he did know. Many people have their opinions and every body is different so trusting your own intuition as well , knowing what causes you to feel stress and pain contribute to a successful outcome. It’s still early days and your outside will heal before your inside which takes longer. Patience is a virtue but is hard to deal with when you’re used to just being able to pull up stakes and move on to the next adventure, try and relax and enjoy some down time.
I lived in the chicago area for 6 mos in 2005. A coworker lived in Oak Park. Pretty nice area. I didn't explore much, worked most of the time. The heating was a bizzare concept.
I was thrilled to hear that you aren't in Chicago proper. It was a scary idea for you to be walking around the city! The area are you are in is where my aunt and uncle used to live until they retired and moved to Nevada. It's very pretty and you're right it's much more pedestrian friendly. I'm sorry to hear about Olive's mis-adventure and the stress it caused you🐕. She misses you as much as you do her🐶❣️ We'll keep you in our thoughts❤️ Please continue to get plenty of rest💕
U have some mail coming on Monday Jimmy, @ least the post office said it would get to U by then. Keep in mind when U open it that I'm NOT an ARTIST, The picture didn't come out @ all like I wanted it to, but maybe before U head out down those country roads W/The trees & flowers all around U, I'll be able to paint something that looks a lot better. Now that I mailed it I'm feeling a lot of self doubt & thinking that it looks like a toddler painted it.... Oh well it is what it is... ..... I just started painting in July W/No Training.
I love Marigolds as well, My Grandma always had a ton of them planted about, & I've not fallin' to far from the tree....
I'm glad Olive is ok, I almost feel like she's my dog as well, guess its cuz' I watch all of Ur posts & Ur always talking about her or showing her to us. So when U said something happen W/Her & then didn't tell us what it was I felt my own Anxiety rise up..... I do hope she's doing well & she's staying healthy & strong.........
