    I have 13 years and I think 7xl is better tan 9ef, because its more comfortable, faster and cheaper.

    I have the earlier generation of Town7XL which does not come with handlebar brake and kickstand, and i its the same generation as the 9EF here (which is also the 1st gen). The Town7XL here is a newer generation, thus its why its now equipped with the brake+stand. So if anyone going to buy Town7XL, just make sure which version you are getting

    Recently bought the 9ef v2, like the ef 7 it has rear suspension. A much easier fold at the handles, a side stand and a different adjustment for hight. Hope to find pneumatic tires that fit to help with the constant click clack on paving slabs.
    Great video thanks.

      That's what i wanted to ask , so the suspension system isn't enough for reducing vibration?? Is it annoying for long rides?? Do you think scooters with air wheels would be more comfortable?? Please your answer would help alot

    Very nice video :) Great job ! I was told that even if (for both) the limit is 100 kgr, a person up to 120 kgr can use it without problem either. What do you think ? Most of the scooters that I find can carry up to 100 kgr

    9EF has antivibration dampeners instead of visible suspension so it is comparable to 7XL. Also, you can halffold 9EF and use it as selfstand. So the only difference is price and folding mechanism..

    • @markkusalonen2939
      @markkusalonen2939 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, as owner of 9EF I think it's real pity the halffold selfstanding option was not presented - and the very novel option to lock 9EF with a padlock to a handrail/post, something I do frequently. In 2019 new version with improved suspension will be released according Decathlon.fr customer feedback reply.

    Thanks for the video; I have bought a town 9ef and it has a rear brake only, commanded by the front lever and by pressing the rear mudguard. The 9 has a fancy system (I prefer it as it doesn't seem possible to close it accidentally) to fold it but lacks a mini side stand and rear suspension that I guess does something good in terms of grip... wonder why, considering it is more expensive. The 9ef has a design defect for the shoulder strap: if it passes between the designed hooks and under the foot folding area, it will at some point lock the steering and I avoid having it mounted.

    • @trekkerfox7860
      @trekkerfox7860  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks so much for your comment! We have very similar observations :) Actually, when comparing 7XL and 9EF, we decided that the cheeper model of 7XL is a better one ;) The lack of the mini side stand and the problem with the shoulder strap can be very annoying! Among our TrekkerFox team member we own privatelly both models, and having used them for some months we can say that the 7XL is simply a better choice!

    • @adamjed7
      @adamjed7 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Is the extrafolding system of the 9 model not too useful? I think it would be, as having to lean down every time you want to fold the 7 model could be annoying.
      Anyway, from the other comments I see that 7 is quieter. Probably it better absorbs uneven terrain, too, right?

  • @ioanc2
    @ioanc2 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Does Oxelo 9 have a lower platform height than Oxelo 7? Does this mean that it's easier to push, so in average you'll ride faster with it (you'll get less tired)?

    • @kristofmarosi4375
      @kristofmarosi4375 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely no, the 7 is lighter, and the rear suspension allows you to turn at a much higher speed, in addition it doesn't have that plastic cover in the front tyre, which also offers an easier turning(especially in high speed turns, the front stays stable)
      Hope it helped

      Hi there, I saw you've already bought, but for anyone else considering, I went to decathlon today to try out the town 7 that I was intending to buy. I had a go on the 9ef just for fun and found it to be faster, much steadier, overall a smoother ride. I felt like I might wobble off when turning on the 7, as there is some play in the join between the post and the deck by the front wheel. The 9ef is rock solid, so I went for that in the end.
