i broke my Coccyx falling on ICE down stairs and now its loose ... i think i broke it right off ... should i goto emergency ???? if theirs 3-4 bokes in their then two peices are floating now one has gone off too the side !!!! also couldnt you instead of skrews or wires too fuse it or let it heal back together instead just use Sergical GLUE for bone !!!!!!!!!!!
I fractured my coccyx falling because my vision was damaged in an accident. It’s displaced and that was 10 years ago. I eat most of my meals, computer work, TV laying down at it hurts a lot. Every time I sit it puts pressure on the displaced bone. After being told for 10 years there is nothing can be done. I found a surgeon and they will remove the fractured bone in two weeks. I’m so relieved .
Any update? How are you?
I'm having a long talk with God for even putting that bone in knowing we are gonna fall on our ass!!!

My tailbone sticks out, can be felt even over my clothes, like 2 inches and goes to the side and it makes my legs go numb and tingly all of the time and the pain is so sore and it clicks when touched or as i walk lol it's so creepy, no one really knows much about how to help it. Love these videos

There is no article telling us day by day , or week by week recovery for tailbone fracture. I know every body is diff but there should be some general guidelines on dos and donts in the initial days , weeks and months. Oh hello, hello, hello... My goodness I have never been happier than I was to hear that there is PAIN RELIEF - In 2014 I contracted Viral Pneumonia and from the horrendous coughing fits I cracked three ribs and broke my tailbone. I have been severely obese for the past 7 years and on September 10th 2019 I was finally able to have gastric bypass and I have loss 107 pounds as of today 11.22.2019 and to think I that thought I was in pain before, I had no clue. All I have been told for the past five years is sorry nothing we can do. Sorry no one does anything for that. I have literally cried because It hurts to sit, stand, lay down, get up, cough, sneeze, any wrong movement and I feel that sucker catching or popping and the only thing I can equate it to is hitting the nerve when your blood gases are being drawn and I would say it's even worse than that. Heck, I would rather have four more kids.
I know I can't take it, I have begged the doctors to help me with the pain, to take the damn thing out, I just cannot live like this. It's bad enough I still have to have another surgery, cross finger in late December 2019 I will be having my knees replaced as they are no good, so between my darn near daily migraines, the weight, the tailbone, my knees, and fibromyalgia, I have been living a life of pain for so long I've forgotten what it's like to be pain free or walk or sit, stand, lay or even sit on the potty without being in pain [but it is the comfortable seat in the house] - NO Pressure].
Thank you for sharing this information. I may have to visit you if I cannot get help here. I'm already wondering what state are you in. I cannot wait to read more and listen to more of your videos. B)
I just found out today that I fractured(broke) my tailbone today. I fell a week ago down the stairs and didn't go get it checked today. All they told me was the CT scan showed I fractured my tailbone and that he was prescribing me a pain med but no instructions or nothing. And sent me home. Now I'm sitting at home and don't know what I'm supposed to do and not do. And how long it can take to heal. So now I'm looking stuff up and watching videos like this to learn.

I slipped and fell and landed hard on my but in 2006. It still hurts like 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 when I sit and the last year and a half it doesn’t stop. Before I could go to bed and wake up fine until I sat down again. I spend most my day up on my feet or laying down. I hate sitting. Now it hurts 24/7 even when laying down. No one ever believed me it was the problem. The docs keep blaming my sciatica, lumbar spinal stenosis. Only change Thats happens is I have lost 100lbs so I have less cushion than before but I’m still obese so I ain’t skinny by no means. I swear I feel something moving. Especially when I put pressure on it by pushing against a wall or squeeze my cheeks real hard.
And yes it hurts and I also feel movement when I pass gas or have bowl movements too.
What about if you had an x ry and they said you DO show an actual fracture.... I thought this was going to tell you how to treat and Actual fracture...
Broke my tailbone two days ago while Jet Skiing. Has a slight fracture and 2mm dislocation. One of the most uncomfortable and worst pains I’ve ever felt. Here comes the long and annoying recovery.

@@gauravvamja3804 Mine is completely healed. Took around 4 months to be completely pain free. Haven’t had an issue since. I would say that having pain two years on, isn’t normal. Definitely get it looked into.

yes, that’s definitely a symptom I experience with my broken coccyx. also, when moving bowels it can be incredibly painful

Living in rural area w/out orthopedist in my county -fell down bottom third of steep steps on my tailbone-was told there’s no treatment anyhow - “time” will heal. Of course I can’t sit w/out bad pain- I’m guessing 6-8weeks. Seeking any physical therapy exercises that might help- sleeping on my side-thanks for your channel.

I have fractured my tailbone 3 weeks ago by falling on my butt . Orthopedic surgeon got an x ray and diagnosed the fracture. Gave me calcium tablets and advised bed rest for 4 weeks. I am still feeling pain after 3 weeks. How much time will it take to heal? Please guide me sir....

I fell from a bike on my buttocks as a pillion rider while crossing a speed breaker 10 days ago, 4th jul 23, initially wen i went to a doctor, i was told to take an X-Ray, but the x-ray taken was only above my tailbone, i specifically told doc that i hd pain my tailbone region, but the doc sd its jst a bone compression, nd provided me with a belt to carry around my lower back wherever i travel, So thinking dat its nt a fracture i strained too much like riding bike, walking, sitting directly on floor sofa in a crossed way, After a week's time i cant bear the pain, i hd 24/7 severe pain,
So i went to another doctor for second opinion, thr in x-ray i can see dat the last bit of the my bone is scattered, i hv been straining myself since i dint knw i hd a fracture, will dat affect my healing, The doc sd it wd atleast take 6 weeks to be ok.. I hv been experiencing severe pain which i cant even express,
After seeing these comments like people are suffering from pain since months and years, am little worried..

My Tailbone in the Xray is a circular blur...is it gone? when I gave birth and pushed on my hands and knees...it popped and I heard it too! then it felt like someone was pulling my tail bone out of by body from behind! after a couple months I noticed it was sore then had the Xray..that was 22 yrs ago..now I have chronic neck and lower back pain...HELP!

I have a fracture at the joint of the sacrum and coccyx. My PT had me do "windshield wiper" which exaggerated my pain badly. What can Indo at home to relieve the pain? Windshield wipers is when you lay on your stomach on a pillow, lift your legs up behind you, keep feet together and move them right to left several times. It applied pressure in the tailbone area and I've been feeling constant poking in my rectum area and my vaginal area is aching.....this exercise really messed me up. What can I do? It hurts bad
Yes interesting doc thinks fracture not x rayed but I fell on thick carpet and broken my wrist badly have osteoarthritis just resting but got to go back to work so will take it easy as it’s a cleaning job and bending hurts I’m age 64.
Hi doc thanks for the information was wandering if it's dangerous in anyway to not get treatment pretty sure I broke or fractured my tailbone when I misplaced my jump into the seat of my semi and landed on the metal hand rail directly on my TB that was about two weeks ago and it is still extremely painful. I am not entirely worried about the pain as I am if it is safe to just heal on its own despite most likely being broke or fractured???
With a non-displaced proximal seg coccyx fracture just a week old, what movements (and to what range) should be avoided?
I was told I have a type 3 sharp angular something and that there is not another acute fracture. I have already fractured my tailbone once when I was younger at age 10. I am now 50 and have a lot of swelling in my sacral region in my back. My Dr wants me to get an MRI and see a spinal specialist due to my very increased bowel movements?? I can not sleep on my back or my sides either for more than an hour. I am up and down all night long. It is miserable. My hips ache all day long. I do have osteopenia that was confirmed from dexa and was told I would have a fracture within 10 yrs is that how that’s read? I have been suffering from coccyx pain since 5 months, recently physiotherapist confirmed that it's posteror dislocated. He suggested internal manipulation or mobilization (through rectal). I'm really scared of it. Can you please suggest is this treatment gives good results? Are there any side effects?

I broke my coccyx during vaginal childbirth because of the occipit posterior position.

2 doctors say that I have a tailbone injury, but I am not convinced. Its been 3 months now and the discomfort is still there. How long did it take for anyone reading this to be able to sit with no discomfort?

@@rhythmdua999 found out that I have a levator ani syndrome. There is no known cure or any knowledge of how a person gets it.
While doing sports i have fractured my tail bone, got my x ray done but the doctor did not say anything much just gave me a muscle relaxant and adviced me sitz bath, the pain is worst can’t even sit. Please help me know how can i heal faster, I’m in lot if pain doctor.
Just rest , it takes I think 12 weeks? And pray as well. Just broke mine 2 days ago.

I have Crohn’s disease and it also hit my joints. I also fell on it twice!
When you say that a person would need a imaging study, would an having an xray of this area be sufficient?

An Xray while sitting down is the best option. However, not too many places do this. Not even hospitals. You have to see an orthopedic surgeon, hip specialist, or physical therapist with a special certification for it. Unfortunately, these are hard to find. There is not even one doctor in my whole country who does this. My fracture was fused 30 years ago. Even manipulation won't do anything since it's fused in that position and cannot be moved. Both my childbirths were C-section as the tailbone was not able to move out of the way. Almost lost my first child due to this. I am still looking for a way to fix the problem and have considered having the tailbone cut off. But, again, don't even have any doctors who do this in my whole country. I live in Canada.

I suggest you get an MRI, in the best case scenario. it sounds like a fracture if the pain has persisted and occurs during bowel movements, and even coughing or sneezing can cause pain.

@@JaiShreeram-tr7cs yes .it was not big deal...i am hawing seriously broken tooth and i am just so devastated and anxiety off the roof- but its due to the fact that I had a scary withdrawal from anti anxiety medications and it wasnt a walk in the park,and any time i habe smtg related to my health i get so anxipus, nervous system has been damaged seriously ....iatrogenic illness that exists and it a scary place to be in...
So a day after I fell, sat on the toilet and heard a pop down there . Do you think it was displaced? Btw I'm still working, painfully.

What could it mean if your extra forgetful and stuttering after falling on tailbone? My cousin went to grab basketball rim and missed it. He landed on left side but right shoulder is popping and pain in left arm. He is complaining of pinching neck Pain and pinching back pain. Also above left hip is painful along with sore buttocks. Head heads too but did not hit head on pavement.

Basically just suffer and take medicine 😢 oh my goodness Im so much in pain since my ex husband broke mine with his steel heavy work boots because I didn’t have his dinner ready on time and yet doctors can’t do nothing. If only i can post what he has done to my body. This is the most useless information about a fractured coccyx. All you did was tell us we probably have an incorrect diagnosis, and we can't splint it or cast it like a normal broken bone. Well.... no shit that's why we're searching for more info. 🤦♀️
