Nice! There's a plugin for the game Rust that produces similar results but the player has to stand there/go afk for eons while the plugin paints it. Valheim wins again! Great tutorial!
I really hope they streamline this instead of remove it, because I have loved the ability to draw with signs since it appeared. Sadly, pixel art with squares has been somewhat difficult after the Hildir's Request update, since the squares can't be freehanded as easily in the middle of a wall tile anymore. The icon doesn't appear at the perfect center of the sign anymore (if you like to do vanilla pixel art).
i think game drop simspeed because it need to calculate every snappoint on 100-200 signs, clicking Q few times should solve the problem. It worked for me with other builds when i'm coppying big structures with inf hammer. Or disable autosnappoints in inf hammer, should also work
I would love q video tutorial on how to install and use infinity hammer properly. Because I installed it and don't have the different hammers on my menu

I am baffled at how you find these things out for yourself. Luckily a friend of mine is very apt with computer language. Unluckily I am still stuck with an ancient laptop that has long since reached the maximum capacity for my builds, hence I have not continued for a long time now due to unbearable lag. I fully intend to use your idea to the full however. All I meed for that is a lot of money for a seriously good Computer and that may still take some time sadly. As for you................. You Sir are a game changer. Your innovations are uncomparable and your creativity is inspiring. Just too bad that (you are going to despise me for this) you pray to the wrong deity of a long dead emperor 😁 Seriously though, apart from the flaw of your loyalties, you are my number one choice to follow !
I had the shitgiggles today (whilst sitting on a public toilet) the people around me were getting uneasy. Hey, great guide! I have a quick question, everytime I place the image into Valheim, it keeps blending in with the surface behind it. For instance, if I make wood paneling, the picture will take a brown hue. Is there any way to maintain the original color? It seems like you're able to in your video. Thanks!
A few weeks after I released this video, they changed how colors work (again!). So yeah, they're all a bit transparent now : /. Best solution I've found so far is to use something very dark as the backdrop.
The website is down, I've built the python script myself but am having issues getting the scaling correct, I'd like a smaller image not one that wont fit on the side of the barn. I can see the marker in the blueprint file, but if I reduce that size to something smaller I just get the same sized sign layout but with smaller slices of the image.
Hmm, I just tried the website and it worked for me. Not sure on the script itself, but I would guess it horizontally shifts the signs to account for smaller size=x values, that could be what's going wrong with yours?

Snappoints all objects was not enabled, so that was not the problem.

5:05 you need to invoke Valheim with -console for console to be openable with F5

Vanilla compatible, meaning vanilla players can see the results
Is there a reason placed images on signs go slightly transparent at a short distance away? I assume this is a Valheim default setting on signs, is it?
Yeah I suspect that it's because the 'text' is so small that it's semi-faded at some distances, but just a theory
