Actually, they have no interest in the boat. They are attacking it because they saw you walking around on it. If you sit down, they will go away. Watch this video: th-cam.com/video/7-2GAJZgUDo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Jdj6I6u29tBwGI5X around 2:30 I start to talk about serpent aggro.
I’m so jealous! We caught a serpent at night during a storm and managed to place it in our enclosure. We enjoyed having it for a day but when we logged off and on again, it despawned! 😭
If the serpents do not trigger aggro with your tests, I think this is due to the fact that the water is too shalow in your canal. Consequently, their AI consider them as stranded and the only thing they try to do is to go back to deeper water... But as they don't manage to do it then they stay in this state.
Those serpents don't have enough room to move properly which is why they can't attack the boat :)
You are correct! If you notice near the ends of the channel where there is more space that the serpents trigger there.

@@LookWhatsNix you probably caught one that did not spawn during the storm. Storm serpents do not despawn.
@@XPriMntLXp oooh! you might be right! ok, we’ll try again. Thanks! Awesome base by the way 🎉
@@LookWhatsNix thank you! And happy hunting!

@DanLo-tube I believe it is more about the width than it is the depth. In the corners where there is more room they tend to aggro more often.
Amazing, just amazing.

Day 5000+ ?! How dude my world started bugging out around 800, and stuff I placed started disappearing.
You must build a lot. Do you use dev commands? That is an online server so it is less laggy than a single player world.
@XPriMntLXp I do build alot and flatten the ground in large areas. I found out that was the problem lol.
Is tameable? 😯😯🤯🤯
@@fodexnoob203 I wish it was but no. The ones that spawn in storms do not despawn.
