As there are many fish in the sea, there are many boulders in the river grasshopper.... Ha ;) perhaps a smaller rock? I love it too! Thanks for posting! And I love how it's a Family Affair.... Your daughters' adorable~🔱✨

When moving anything! Use a snatch block to allow you to pull at 90 degrees. That way if the main line snaps you aren't going to experience the full force of cable slap. You can also use a safety line with an eyelet to pass main line thru so if the cable snaps it gets caught by the safety line.

I thought I was the only person crazy enough to use comealongs to move big boulders to look for gold. Glad I'm not the only one! Haha

You should have taken the chain to the far right side of the Boulder and wrapped it around the narrow end with the tail coming across the face presented to us and over to the trees as you pulled on the come along it would have rolled the boulder sideways right out of the hole with no problem. You can't drag a whole 10 ton Rock. U have to spin them out of their resting place.

The manner in which you were dragging the boulder would have only pulled down the trees if you had added snatch blocks and doublers. Once again you can't drag the whole Rock across the ground. Like I said you should take a loop across the face to the narrow side on the right and wrap it around that narrow end and spend it out it's resting place.

Good job! idetecit is right about how you should move that boulder. Work downstream then throw it in your hole. I doubt even a large chainsaw winch triple or quad blocked could pull that thing upstream... it's massive! Looks like you have a good come along though. A cable choker like the ones used for logging would be a big help. You wouldn't have problems with the chain slipping like it was when pulling that smaller boulder. Keep up the good work!

Try to bust that boulder in half then use the come along and you just might get it moved !!!

Try using heavy duty straps instead of chain , I have lengths from 4’ to 35’ , a lot lighter to pac in and I feel they chock the rock better and better for the tree tie off point.

You need a wide nylon strap for the rocks

A snatch block or two would have doubled or quadrupled your pulling force and weigh very little for carrying.

35ABSTRACT I try my best. To have her do anything and all things. for almost all the time, in a 24 hour day. An for my holy and easy as pie guy life. All I have to work on is lifting a can of cold Dr. pepper. And or finding the right sun glasses to wear with my out fit for the day.
what a good wife to have, don't you agree.
