wow Ben i have loved watching your adventure and seeing all the places you have been. i discovered your videos back in 2012 when they closed our plant after working there for 25 years its wonderful seeing you and lia come together and continuing on with your travels, it great that you are doing this while you are young keep the videos coming take care and safe travels. JB
I'm AS excited for your content than the new season of the Grand Tour. Not even kidding. You managed to strike the right balance of realism and dream like travel vlog. But I feel like you could hold your own producing other type of travel content for major production studios. You're good bud. Keep it up! EDIT: You really should make a playlist with highlights, things to do, the don'ts etc for each country you visit. Maybe key contacts in those countries for mechanics etc... All in the spirit of encouraging people to go out and do it with more tools to do it.
I just found your channel today... you've done the most wonderful adventure WOW .. and about to see the 🌎 .. Good Luck! Parto from Iran ( i saw your around the world route you picked, you're not gonna come to Iran! but you are more than Welcome here)
Daaaamn dude, that is one insane story. Loved seeing all those clips of Alaska and Canada. I spent a night sleeping on the side of the road in Whitehorse once and also took a swim in the Arctic Ocean.
Because of the hardest stretch of this adventure, you realized that you've already found the woman who you will be spending the rest of your adventures.. Leah. Now, that is the most awesome highlight of them all! Watching your journey from Chile to Alaska taught me a lot of things and inspired me to trust the moments that I get in life and the people that I meet while also making sure I be careful and thoughtful everytime. You are a true inspiration brotherman, Ben!
I doubt we'll ever get an answer to this- A lot of the early South American adventures where recorded/edited/saved with borrowed equipment from fellow travelers
adventure Ideas: Lisbon to Tokyo Cape Town to Oulu Marrakesh to Singapore and one I think would be absolutely crazy, start in a city go around the world and end in that city
You know, on the one hand I absolutely love every single one of your videos. Your attitude, your smile, the way you cut the videos, the people and places in it, everything is just beyond amazing. I have been watching your videos for hours now and am still amazed on where you have been, what you have done and all the people you met. On the other hand though, it made me realize how sad my life is in comparison. You literally traveled and entire continent with amazing people, pet(s) and adventures while I just sit around doing nothing. You and your journey, which I got to take part in by watching your videos have been an eye opener for me. Life is short, traveling is amazing and you make it seem even more incredible. So thank you from the bottom of my heart. Keep up the amazing content and keep being awesome. God bless you, Leah and of course Alaska!
Wow man. I just stumbled across this channel and I'm so glad I did. This story is seriously the most inspiring thing i've seen in a while. I got the chance to live out of a chevy astro in Tofino, British Columbia for a few weeks, and it's fuelled my desire to adopt the van life. hopefully one day I can go on an adventure half as cool as this. Can't wait to see whats in store for the future of Kombi life!
Can't wait guys! Been following you all for the longest time. You were an inspiration to get us out on the road as well. :) Take care and hope to meet up one day! - Shane
Love your stuff Ben! Your first series inspired me and a friend to get a van together and travel around Australia. Best thing I have ever done. I'm fully addicted to Van life now and can't thank you enough for making these fantastic videos.
I've only discovered your channel about three days ago and I'm in love with it. As one who's been wanting to travel forever, especially Chile and Patagonia, Iceland, Ukraine, this channel has been a godsend for a travel itch while I work on getting my passport.
Amazing incredible awesome I can't wait! You guys rock and I am beyond grateful to see you coming back and that you share so much with those who live vicariously through your adventures! And I love that you and Leah are in love!
I'm so glad I found this channel. Your story is one of the most incredible and amazing things I've ever heard. You lived more in those 6 years than most people do in their entire lives. Many people, including myself, would not have the courage to do something like this, but I hope you have inspired others to take the leap. Again, truly incredible & inspirational!
Sir, you deserve an oscar!!! i remember watching the series last year. i cant believe you actually did it haha. cnt wait for the new series. all the best to you, leah and good old alaska!!!
I am so excited to see your next adventure. Your videos have really helped me make the life changing decision to give up my job, buy a van and travel. First I am going to tackle Europe, then the Trans American Trail and then the Pan American Highway! Alas, I will be avoiding old VW campers as awesome as they look, I don't think I am skilled enough for that. Might even bump into you guys on my travels. Cant wait for your next adventure.
Can't say how pumped i am to see you guys driving through "my" continent, visiting the places i definitely want to see in my life. Looking forward to it!
10/10 most inspiring series on YT I freaking love it and it makes wish I was adopted by Ben and Leah bc they're so genuine and adventurous. Two of most important characteristics

bro that is the sickest thing ever, i to was traveling with some buddys across AMERICA from NY to California just messing around having a good time, but kinda got stuck in cali and are figuring out how to continue the travels and keep recordin, we ended up losing all our documentary and want to hit every state in the usa and start traveling different countrys while documenting it but funds become a problem sometimes can you give me any inside tips that could help me and my boys!? preciate and love your videos man super inspiring and adds to my drive of continuing my travels!
Just found your videos today and instantly addicted. I cant wait to watch your first adventure from the beginning and watch your progress through your next.
Love the way you storied your journey. After watching you guys kayak through the ice caves I got goosebumps just thinking about going through that experience. Can't wait to see more of your journeys through the world. Keep it up!
This was one heck of an adventure. Can't wait to see you and Boomerang start your next journey with Leah and Alaska! Can't wait, your van is coming along Ben, looking great. Can't wait to hear about your trip to Australia either!!!
I can’t even tell you how much you’ve inspired me to travel and live a non traditional life, you guys are proving to people that there are different ways to live other than the grueling 9 to 5 and it’s absolutely amazing, keep doing what you’re doing and be safe on your travels, I love you guys.
above all else this is the most important aspect of our channel and the quality that we most want to improve in our content, so thanks for the kind complement.
Traveling really restores my faith in humanity. I think sometimes we stay in the same place so long and hear so many stories we think that if we were in trouble, no one would care. But traveling has really taught me otherwise. From the taxi driver in Mexico who walked miles to help us through a parade bc my father who went looking for one, didn’t speak Spanish, to solo trips across England where I was given advice from locals on the train, people were always friendlier than I expected them to be. Sure there were still those who ignored us, but the average experience was more good than bad. My most recent experience has really solidified this idea. We were snowmobiling for the first time and had lost the trail. We ended up getting stuck in the middle of the UP in Michigan. For those who aren’t aware, the winters up here, especially in first few months of the year are cold and hard. There’s also not a lot up here compared to the rest of the state. It was nearing darkness at this time and my mother was very very scared, concerned that we wouldn’t be able to get out, with no cell signal, and that no one would help us. I’ve been living here for a couple years now and had discovered the opposite. I was just concerned that the road might not be well traveled, or people wouldn’t see us in time to be able to stop. One way or another if we got trapped there, we would be in a very dangerous situation. Running out of gas in the snow mobiles (we were looking for a gas station) and no idea where the closest town was, we were definetly in danger. (We also couldn’t dig or move the snow mobile ourselves, I’m 20yr old female and my mom is older and we were unable to even budge the thing) But I knew that a lot of people up here are very kind and despite my mothers thoughts of futility wove down the next car. An older man stepped out and helped us pull the snowmobile out, get us on the road, and point us towards the nearest gas station. We tried to pay him for his help but he turned us down. I’ve never been so thankful and surprised at how kind people can be.
I absolutely love your adventures, I think discovering your real life adventure is actually a highlight of my life. Even though I rarely live vicariously through others, you are an inspiration to once again step out of my comfort zone. I mean it when I say I love you two. I did know that when you found leah she was a keeper for you. I don't know how but somehow I really would like to meet you two. But since I'm in north east Washington and you are somewhere else in the world I'm not sure how. Bless you guys.
Even though I didn't get to watch when you guys first started your adventure to Alaska I still love watching this and can't wait to see your next adventure around the world. Best of luck to finding a new "home" and can't wait to see this new adventure begin!
WOW! We just found you on TH-cam and I couldn't be happier! As a writer, your storytelling is inthralling; and as a photographer and editor, your filmmaking abilities are nothing short of beautiful. What an amazing journey. I hope my fiancé and I can experience a tiny bit of what you have as we restore a 1965 Clark Cortez motorhome -- I look forward to the day it is as covered in dirt as your VW. Thank you so much for telling this tale -- Cannot wait to watch your other videos and hear more xoxo L (and Andy)
