I remember when I first played this guitar, I INSTANTLY fell in love! I honestly prefer this over gretsch's. Epiphones, and even some Gibson 335s. Such an AMAZING sounding and easy-to-play guitar!
As far as I know V2 has pickups from Supro where as the older model is using Seymor Duncans. There might be some other minor differences as well in finishing etc.

These pickups are amazing..i have usa strats and gibson but these are almost perfect
all those needs tailpiece...they're incomplete without it. Also, same as the headstock , tailpiece is a signature of d'angelico

The supro are amazing.. The Duncan's are the cheaper range

Definitely! The Premier DC is a great guitar for beginners.
