Hyperlapses can honestly be intimidating. That's how I felt at least! One day I was messing around with my iPhone's timelapse feature and figured out I could do hyperlapses! So needless to say, it's been my hobby these last few weeks! It only takes a minute or two and its way easier than the traditional way.
To stabilize the footage even more, apply warp stabilizer in Adobe Premiere or After Effects.

Really simple and cool way to do them! Wanted to do it on my DSLR but way easier on my iPhone! Thanks for the tutorial!
In addition, Hyperlapse app (iOS only) does far better results.
Or if your using the camera app only, do turn on grid lines for better and proper framing the shot.

Tip 1: If you're gonna take a video keep the iPhone in landscape mode
Tip 2: Make sure to use stabilization in post production

For handheld that’s great
it works perfectly with my iphone
because in the timelapsemode it automatically has the Digital IS (image stabilizer) so the hyperlaps isn't shaky and ruff but rather smooth.
i don't know with other phones, if they have timelaps mode and if they even have Digital IS.
if not, they have to do the shot physically smooth or stabilize the video on a programm.
but it works absolutely well on iphone. a huge plus on apple!

Thanks for the tip! There's also an app in iPhone which is called hyperlapse but it is an app from Instagram. Anyway, you shot it in potrait when doing those hyperlapses. You made them into landscape in your editing software?
I filmed in both landscape and portrait. It works well both ways. Then I stabilized them in Adobe Premiere :)
Do you stabilize any of the videos in post? Because i cant get any of my to be stabilize by its self

I just used the timelapse feature in the iphone photos app and then you can stabilize in Premiere or Adobe After Effects
You are holding the IPhone 📱 in portrait mode but the video coming out of it is landscape ! How ? Are you cropping it or I am

I shot one clip vertical and one horizontal. So they are two different clips but it works either way.
